Deliver me O Lord, and set me beside thee, and let any man's hand fight against me.


Behold thou hast taught many, and thou hast strengthened the weary hands:


3 And if thou have not, hear me : hold thy peace, and I will teach thee wisdom.


1 Scatter the proud in thy indignation, and behold every arrogant man, and humble him.


3 And he had seven sons, and three daughters.


3 They had quickly done, they forgot his works: and they waited not for his counsels.

Shall I not visit them for these things, saith the Lord? or shall not my soul be revenged on such a nation?

2 And after this they consulted the Lord whether he would come thither. And the Lord answered: Behold he is hidden at home.


5 But if you will not hearken to the voice of the Lord, but will rebel against his words, the hand of the Lord shall be upon you, and upon your fathers.


And his sons walked not in his ways: but they turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.
