3 And when they shall persecute you in this city, flee into another. Amen I say to you, you shall not finish all the cities of Israel, till the Son of man come.


3 But he that shall deny me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven.

And the Pharisees seeing them, said to him: Behold thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days.


4 Then he saith: I will return into my house from whence I came out. And coming he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.


THESE things have I spoken to you, that you may not be scandalized.


Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said to them: Whom seek ye?


7 But in all these things we overcome, because of him that hath loved us.


In saying before, Sacrifices, and oblations, and holocausts for sin thou wouldest not, neither are they pleasing to thee, which are offered according to the law.


2 Seest thou, that faith did co-operate with his works; and by works faith was made perfect?


Even so the tongue is indeed a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold how small a fire kindleth a great wood.


8 For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error:


6 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are certain things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.


He that commmitteth sin is of the devil: for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God appeared, that he might destroy the works of the devil.


4 I write unto you, babes, because you have known the Father. I write unto you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.


5 Love not the world, nor the things which are in the world. If any man love the world, the charity of the Father is not in him.


0 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil. Whosoever is not just, is not of God, nor he that loveth not his brother.


2 Not as Cain, who was of the wicked one, and killed his brother. And wherefore did he kill him? Because his own works were wicked: and his brother's just.


6 In this we have known the charity of God, because he hath laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.


1 And this commandment we have from God, that he, who loveth God, love also his brother.
