Therefore various thoughts succeed one another in me, and my mind is hurried away to different things.


Shew forth thy wonderful mercies; thou who savest them that trust in thee.


The earth shook and trembled: the foundations of the mountains were troubled and were moved, because he was angry with them.


Blessed is the man to whom the Lord hath not imputed sin, and in whose spirit there is no guile.


THE just perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart, and men of mercy are taken away, because there is none that understandeth; for the just man is taken away from before the face of evil.


0 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in my house, and try me in this, saith the Lord: if I open not unto you the flood-gates of heaven, and pour you out a blessing even to abundance.


6 So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.


AND he spoke also a parable to them, that we ought always to pray, and not to faint,


4 David then calleth him Lord: and how is he his son?


0 And he confessed, and did not deny: and he confessed: I am not the Christ.


Mary therefore took a pound of ointment of right spikenard, of great price, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.


As soon therefore as he had said to them: I am he; they went backward, and fell to the ground.


4 For we are saved by hope. But hope that is seen, is not hope. For what a man seeth, why doth he hope for?


6 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity. For we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit himself asketh for us with unspeakable groanings.


7 And he that searcheth the hearts, knoweth what the Spirit desireth; because he asketh for the saints according to God.


7 But in all these things we overcome, because of him that hath loved us.


For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle ?


8 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast and unmoveable; always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.


I gave you milk to drink, not meat; for you were not able as yet. But neither indeed are you now able; for you are yet carnal.


We suffer persecution, but are not forsaken; we are cast down, but we perish not:


But we are confident, and have a good will to be absent rather from the body, and to be present with the Lord.


And because you are sons, God hath sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying: Abba, Father.


5 Where is then your blessedness? For I bear you witness, that, if it could be done, you would have plucked out your own eyes, and would have given them to me.


The things which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these do ye, and the God of peace shall be with you.


3 Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if any have a complaint against another: even as the Lord hath forgiven you, so do you also.


Then said I: Behold, I come to do thy will, O God: he taketh away the first, that he may establish that which followeth.


3 But I think it meet as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance.


He that commmitteth sin is of the devil: for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God appeared, that he might destroy the works of the devil.


6 For all that is in the world, is the concupiscence of the flesh, and the concupiscence of the eyes, and the pride of life, which is not of the Father, but is of the world.


0 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil. Whosoever is not just, is not of God, nor he that loveth not his brother.


9 In this we know that we are of the truth: and in his sight shall persuade our hearts.


We are of God. He that knoweth God, heareth us. He that is not of God, heareth us not. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.


0 He that believeth in the Son of God, hath the testimony of God in himself. He that believeth not the Son, maketh him a liar: because he believeth not in the testimony which God hath testified of his Son.


I know thy works. Behold, I have given before thee a door opened, which no man can shut: because thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.


3 I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.
