8 For it hath seemed good to the Holy Ghost and to us, to lay no further burden upon you than these necessary things:


Render therefore to all men their dues. Tribute, to whom tribute is due: custom, to whom custom: fear, to whom fear: honour, to whom honour.


4 Let no man seek his own, but that which is another's.


8 But if any man say: This has been sacrificed to idols, do not eat of it for his sake that told it, and for conscience' sake.


6 The chalice of benediction, which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ ? And the bread, which we break, is it not the partaking of the body of the Lord ?


Already indeed there is plainly a fault among you, that you have lawsuits one with another. Why do you not rather take wrong? Why do you not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?


0 For you suffer if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take from you, if a man be lifted up, if a man strike you on the face.


Do you seek a proof of Christ that speaketh in me, who towards you is not weak, but is mighty in you?


Now we pray God, that you may do no evil, not that we may appear approved, but that you may do that which is good, and that we may be as reprobates.


For although I made you sorrowful by my epistle, I do not repent; and if I did repent, seeing that the same epistle (although but for a time) did make you sorrowful;


0 For the sorrow that is according to God worketh penance, steadfast unto salvation; but the sorrow of the world worketh death.


0 Now I rejoice in the Lord exceedingly, that now at length your thought for me hath flourished again, as you did also think; but you were busied.


0 I beseech thee for my son, whom I have begotten in my bands, Onesimus,


8 That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have the strongest comfort, who have fled for refuge to hold fast the hope set before us.


0 For what glory is it, if committing sin, and being buffeted for it, you endure? But if doing well you suffer patiently; this is thankworthy before God.


Whosoever revolteth, and continueth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that continueth in the doctrine, the same hath both the Father and the Son.


7 And that no man might buy or sell, but he that hath the character, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.


3 And I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am he that searcheth the reins and hearts, and I will give to every one of you according to your works. But to you I say,


7 And he measured the wall thereof an hundred and forty-four cubits, the measure of a man, which is of an angel.
