“For the kingdom of heaven is similar to a farmer who went out early one morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.


[Finally] he went out [once more] at about five o’clock in the afternoon and found [still] other men standing around. He said, ‘Why have you been standing around all day and not working?’


And when evening came the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the workers [in] and pay them their wages, beginning with the last [one hired, then] to the first.’


While it is still daytime we must perform the acts of God, who sent me. Nighttime is coming, when no one can act.


saying, “What should we do to these men? For we cannot deny that a significant miracle was performed by them, and everybody living in Jerusalem knows it.


knowing that whatever good deed a person does, he will be rewarded for it from the Lord, whether he is a slave or a free person.


[This message is] the secret which has been kept hidden throughout the ages and generations, but has now been revealed to God’s saints [i.e., His holy people].


For God is not [so] unjust as to forget the work you are doing and the love you have shown for Him, as you ministered to the saints [i.e., His holy people] and continue to minister [to them].
