¹² And Jesus answered him, “It is said [Deut. 6:16], ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

And when the devil had finished every test, he left Jesus until a [later] time.

Neither should we put the Lord to a test as some of them did, and were killed by snake bites [See Num. 21:5ff]
