But when Simon Peter saw this, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Go away from me, Lord, because I am a sinful man.”

He is the One who will follow my ministry; [and] I do not deserve to untie his sandal lace.”

Then He poured water into a basin and began washing His disciples’ feet and drying them with the towel around His waist.

Jesus answered him, “You do not understand what I am doing, but you will later on.”
