Vices have serious consequences, not just physically, but spiritually too. They can really tie you down. You might think it's impossible to break free from whatever's got a hold of you, but I want to share the best antidote there is: the blood of Jesus.
When you come to Him and ask for His help, He's faithful and just to strengthen you in your weaknesses. It's not about your own power, because you can't do it on your own. It's about Christ's transforming power working in you.
So don't give up. As long as you're still breathing, there's hope. Jesus can change your life and make you a new person if you just ask Him and seek Him. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
As the Bible says in Isaiah 5:11 (NIV): "Woe to those who rise early in the morning to run after their drinks, who stay up late at night till they are inflamed with wine."
All things are lawful to me, but all things are not helpful: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
Stand firm therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, walks around, seeking whom he may devour:
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.For those who sleep sleep in the night; and those who are drunken are drunken in the night.But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.And may the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
For we have not a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our weaknesses; but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.Confess your faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much.
