‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
“Your right hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O Lord, has dashed the enemy in pieces.
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all.Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all.
And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
Indeed these are the mere edges of His ways, And how small a whisper we hear of Him! But the thunder of His power who can understand?”
All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, “What have You done?”
I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things.’
And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ”
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
“Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.
Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;
For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe.
which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.
Indeed before the day was, I am He; And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?”
Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His.And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.
God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered?
He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, And has stretched out the heavens at His discretion.
I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me,That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting That there is none besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other;
O Lord God of hosts, Who is mighty like You, O Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You.
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
He rules by His power forever; His eyes observe the nations; Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah
As for the Almighty, we cannot find Him; He is excellent in power, In judgment and abundant justice; He does not oppress.
The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked. The Lord has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust of His feet.
Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it:
Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’
Whatever the Lord pleases He does, In heaven and in earth, In the seas and in all deep places.
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.”
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.
The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The Lord is clothed, He has girded Himself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved.
O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions—This great and wide sea, In which are innumerable teeming things, Living things both small and great.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
“For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?God is my strength and power, And He makes my way perfect.
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Behold, the Lord God shall come with a strong hand, And His arm shall rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him.
I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name Lord I was not known to them.
You shall not be terrified of them; for the Lord your God, the great and awesome God, is among you.
And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!”
Nevertheless He saved them for His name’s sake, That He might make His mighty power known.
Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?
But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.
To you it was shown, that you might know that the Lord Himself is God; there is none other besides Him.
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord! Awake as in the ancient days, In the generations of old. Are You not the arm that cut Rahab apart, And wounded the serpent?
The Lord on high is mightier Than the noise of many waters, Than the mighty waves of the sea.
He has made the earth by His power; He has established the world by His wisdom, And stretched out the heaven by His understanding.
But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?
And: “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment;Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not fail.”
Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great: You are clothed with honor and majesty,He sends the springs into the valleys; They flow among the hills.They give drink to every beast of the field; The wild donkeys quench their thirst.By them the birds of the heavens have their home; They sing among the branches.He waters the hills from His upper chambers; The earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works.He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, And vegetation for the service of man, That he may bring forth food from the earth,And wine that makes glad the heart of man, Oil to make his face shine, And bread which strengthens man’s heart.The trees of the Lord are full of sap, The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,Where the birds make their nests; The stork has her home in the fir trees.The high hills are for the wild goats; The cliffs are a refuge for the rock badgers.He appointed the moon for seasons; The sun knows its going down.Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain.
In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,
All nations before Him are as nothing, And they are counted by Him less than nothing and worthless.
I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works.Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness.
The Mighty One, God the Lord, Has spoken and called the earth From the rising of the sun to its going down.
Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters,Who brings forth the chariot and horse, The army and the power (They shall lie down together, they shall not rise; They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick):
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
The Portion of Jacob is not like them, For He is the Maker of all things; And Israel is the tribe of His inheritance. The Lord of hosts is His name.
Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot. There we will rejoice in Him.
I have made the earth, And created man on it. I—My hands—stretched out the heavens, And all their host I have commanded.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power,To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.
Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.
So Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands to the Lord; the thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail, that you may know that the earth is the Lord’s.
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people. Blessed be God!
Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, Or as His counselor has taught Him?With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, And taught Him in the path of justice? Who taught Him knowledge, And showed Him the way of understanding?
You show lovingkindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them—the Great, the Mighty God, whose name is the Lord of hosts.You are great in counsel and mighty in work, for Your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings.
For the Lord is the great God, And the great King above all gods.In His hand are the deep places of the earth; The heights of the hills are His also.The sea is His, for He made it; And His hands formed the dry land.
I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the Lord.
If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”
And Moses said to the people: “Remember this day in which you went out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the Lord brought you out of this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.
For thus says the Lord, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: “I am the Lord, and there is no other.
Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you.
This also comes from the Lord of hosts, Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance.
“Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.
You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You.
The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.The voice of rejoicing and salvation Is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.The right hand of the Lord is exalted; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.
But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.
Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.
by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
Who is this who comes from Edom, With dyed garments from Bozrah, This One who is glorious in His apparel, Traveling in the greatness of His strength?— “I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”
And He said: “Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.
For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, ‘Destroy!’
Inasmuch as there is none like You, O Lord (You are great, and Your name is great in might),
and said: “O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You?
And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.
Why, when I came, was there no man? Why, when I called, was there none to answer? Is My hand shortened at all that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Indeed with My rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness; Their fish stink because there is no water, And die of thirst.
They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints!Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your judgments have been manifested.”
