In the beginning  God created the heavens and the earth.  ,

I  know that you can do anything and no plan of yours can be thwarted.

Oh, Lord God! You yourself made the heavens and earth  by your great power  and with your outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for you!

Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’

For nothing will be impossible with God.’

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth. He never becomes faint or weary; there is no limit to his understanding.

Lord, your right hand is glorious in power. Lord, your right hand shattered the enemy.

Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the splendour and the majesty, for everything in the heavens and on earth belongs to you. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom, and you are exalted as head over all.Riches and honour come from you, and you are the ruler of everything.  Power and might are in your hand, and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all.

‘Look, I am the Lord, the God over every creature.  Is anything too difficult for me?

Then I heard something like the voice of a vast multitude, like the sound of cascading waters,  and like the rumbling of loud thunder, saying, Hallelujah, because our Lord God, the Almighty, reigns!

For his invisible attributes, that is, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world,  being understood through what he has made.  As a result, people are without excuse.

The Lord will fight for you, and you must be quiet.’

The Son is the radiance  of God’s glory and the exact expression  of his nature,  sustaining all things by his powerful word.  After making purification for sins,  he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.  ,

These are but the fringes of his ways; how faint is the word we hear of him! Who can understand his mighty thunder?

All the inhabitants of the earth are counted as nothing, and he does what he wants  with the army of heaven and the inhabitants of the earth. There is no one who can block his hand or say to him, ‘What have you done? ’

I form light and create darkness, I make success and create disaster; I am the Lord, who does all these things.

God replied to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM.  , This is what you are to say to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you.’

For from him and through him and to him are all things.

God raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.

I am able to do all things through him  who strengthens me.

Lord, who is like you among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, revered with praises, performing wonders?

No wisdom, no understanding, and no counsel will prevail against the  Lord.

But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power   is perfected in weakness.’ Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.

This is what the Lord, your Redeemer  who formed you from the womb,  says: I am the Lord, who made everything; who stretched out the heavens by myself; who alone spread out the earth;

For the Lord your God is the God of gods  and Lord of lords,  the great, mighty, and awe-inspiring God, showing no partiality and taking no bribe.

God will bring this about in his own time.  He is the blessed and only  Sovereign, the King of kings,  and the Lord of lords,who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light,  whom no one has seen or can see,  to him be honour and eternal power.  Amen.

Also, from today on I am he alone, and none can rescue from my power. I act, and who can reverse it? ’

and declared: May the name of God be praised for ever and ever, for wisdom  and power belong to him. He changes the times and seasons; he removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals the deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with him.

God is wise  and all-powerful. Who has opposed him and come out unharmed?

He made the earth by his power, established the world  by his wisdom, and spread out the heavens by his understanding.

I am the Lord, and there is no other; there is no God but me. I will strengthen  you, though you do not know me,so that all may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there is no one but me. I am the Lord, and there is no other.

The life of every living thing is in his hand, as well as the breath of all humanity.

What, then, are we to say about these things?  If God is for us, who is against us?

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and for ever.

All things were created  through him,  and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created.

For everything was created by him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities – all things have been created through him and for him.

God is enthroned above the circle of the earth; its inhabitants are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like thin cloth and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

The Almighty #– #we cannot reach him – he is exalted in power! He will not violate justice and abundant righteousness,

The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will never leave the guilty unpunished. His path is in the whirlwind and storm, and clouds are the dust beneath his feet.

but showing faithful love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commands.

This is what God, the Lord, says – who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk on it   –

I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: my plan will take place, and I will do all my will.

Humble  yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand  of God, so that he may exalt you at the proper time,

Now to him who is able  to do above and beyond all that we ask or think  according to the power  that works in us #– #

Our Lord and God, you are worthy  to receive glory and honour and power, because you have created all things, and by your will

He replied, ‘What is impossible with man is possible with God.’

For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counsellor,  Mighty God, Eternal Father,  Prince of Peace.

So he answered me, ‘This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: “Not by strength or by might, but by my Spirit,”  says the Lord of Armies.

‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways.’ This is the  Lord’s declaration.‘For as heaven is higher than earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Jesus came near and said to them, ‘All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

For who is God besides the  Lord? And who is a rock? Only our God.God is my strong refuge; he makes my way perfect.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.

See, the Lord God comes with strength, and his power establishes his rule. His wages are with him, and his reward accompanies him.

I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as God Almighty, but I was not known to them by my name ‘the Lord.’  ,

Don’t be terrified of them, for the Lord your God, a great and awesome God, is among you.

Then the angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, ‘The Lord is with you, valiant warrior.’

Jesus responded to them, ‘My Father   is still working, and I am working also.’

Is anything impossible for the Lord?  At the appointed time I will come back to you, and in about a year she will have a son.’

However, I have let you live for this purpose: to show you my power  and to make my name known on the whole earth.

The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the word of our God remains for ever.’

You were shown these things so that you would know that the Lord is God; there is no other besides him.

Wake up, wake up! Arm of the  Lord, clothe yourself with strength. Wake up as in days past, as in generations long ago. Wasn’t it you who hacked Rahab to pieces, who pierced the sea monster?

He made the earth by his power, established the world  by his wisdom, and spread out the heavens by his understanding.

But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins’  #– #he told the paralysed man, ‘I tell you: Get up, take your stretcher, and go home.’

so my word that comes from my mouth will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do.’

Then he said to me, ‘It is done!  I am the Alpha and the Omega,  the beginning and the end.  I will freely give to the thirsty  from the spring of the water of life.

Or has the potter no right over the clay,  to make from the same lump one piece of pottery for honour and another for dishonour?

And: In the beginning, Lord, you established the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands; they will perish, but you remain. They will all wear out like clothing; you will roll them up like a cloak, and they will be changed like clothing. But you are the same, and your years will never end.   ,

He is before all things, and by him all things  hold together.

In him we have also received an inheritance,  because we were predestined  according to the plan of the one who works out everything in agreement with the purpose of his will,

All the nations are as nothing before him; they are considered by him as empty nothingness.

God is my strong refuge; he makes my way perfect.

This is what the  Lord  says – who makes a way in the sea, and a path through raging water, who brings out the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty one together (they lie down, they do not rise again; they are extinguished, put out like a wick  ) –

We know that all things work together  for the good  of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

Jacob’s Portion  is not like these, because he is the one who formed all things. Israel is the tribe of his inheritance; the Lord of Armies is his name.

I made the earth, and created humans on it. It was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded everything in them.

‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,’  says the Lord God, ‘the one who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.’

I will be the same until your old age, and I will bear you up when you turn grey. I have made you, and I will carry you; I will bear and rescue you.

because the Mighty One has done great things for me, and his name  is holy.

Moses said to him, ‘When I have left the city, I will spread out my hands  to the Lord. The thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail, so that you may know the earth  , belongs to the Lord.

No temptation has come upon you except what is common to humanity. But God is faithful;  he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation he will also provide the way out  so that you may be able to bear it.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear,  but one of power,  , love,  and sound judgement.

Who has instructed  the Spirit of the  Lord, or who gave him counsel? Whom did he consult? Who gave him understanding and taught him the paths of justice? Who taught him knowledge and showed him the way of understanding?

By his power he stirred  the sea, and by his understanding he crushed Rahab.

You show faithful love to thousands but lay the fathers’ iniquity on their sons’ laps after them,  great and mighty God  whose name is the Lord of Armies,the one great in counsel and powerful in action. Your eyes are on all the ways of the children of men  in order to reward each person according to his ways and as the result of his actions.

If the God we serve exists,  then he can rescue  us from the furnace of blazing fire, and he can  rescue us from the power of you, the king.But even if he does not rescue us,  we want you as king to know that we will not serve  your gods  or worship the gold statue you set up.’

Then Moses said to the people, ‘Remember this day when you came out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery, for the Lord brought you out of here by the strength of his hand. Nothing leavened may be eaten.

For this is what the  Lord  says – the Creator of the heavens, the God who formed the earth and made it, the one who established it (he did not create it to be a wasteland, but formed it to be inhabited)   – he says, ‘I am the Lord, and there is no other.

because he was fully convinced  that what God had promised, he was also able to do.

This also comes from the  Lord of Armies. He gives wondrous advice; he gives great wisdom.

The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is his name.

‘Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the child of her womb? Even if these forget, yet I will not forget you.Look, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.

You,  Lord, are the only God.  , You created the heavens, the highest heavens with all their stars, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them, and all the stars of heaven worship you.

Yet Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we all are the work of your hands.

by the word of truth,  , by the power of God;  through weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left,

Who is this coming from Edom in crimson-stained garments from Bozrah – this one who is splendid in his apparel, striding in his formidable  might? It is I, proclaiming vindication, powerful to save.

And the Lord responded, ‘Look, I am making a covenant. In the presence of all your people I will perform wonders that have never been done  in the whole earth or in any nation. All the people you live among will see the Lord’s work, for what I am doing with you is awe-inspiring.

The God of old is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He drives out the enemy before you and commands, ‘Destroy! ’

Lord, there is no one like you. You are great; your name is great in power.

He said: Lord, God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven,  and do you not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations?  Power and might are in your hand, and no one can stand against you.

He does great  and unsearchable things, wonders without number.

Trust in the Lord for ever, because in the Lord, the  Lord  himself, is an everlasting rock!

Why was no one there when I came? Why was there no one to answer when I called? Is my arm too weak to redeem? Or do I have no power to rescue? Look, I dry up the sea by my rebuke; I turn the rivers into a wilderness; their fish rot because of lack of water and die of thirst.

Look, God shows himself exalted by his power. Who is a teacher like him?

They sang the song of God’s servant Moses  and the song of the Lamb: Great and awe-inspiring are your works, Lord God, the Almighty; just and true  are your ways, King of the nations.  , Lord, who will not fear and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All the nations will come and worship before you because your righteous acts have been revealed.
