Trust the Lord completely! Don’t depend on your own knowledge.Think about God in all that you do. Then he will help you.
My enemies are really smooth talkers;\par they talk about peace,\par but they are really planning wars.\par Their words are as slick as oil,\par but those words cut like a knife.\par
Don’t worry, I am with you.\par Don’t be afraid, I am your God.\par I will make you strong.\par I will help you.\par I will support you with my good\par right hand.\par
But the person that trusts in the Lord\par will be blessed.\par Why? Because the Lord will show him\par that the Lord can be trusted.\parThat person will be strong\par like a tree planted near water.\par That tree has large roots that find the water.\par That tree is not afraid\par when the days are hot.\par Its leaves are always green.\par It does not worry in a year\par when no rain comes.\par That tree always produces fruit.\par
God says,\par “Stop fighting\par and learn that I am God!\par I defeat the nations!\par I control the world!”\par
The thing you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing the good things God wants you to do. Then all these other things you need will be given to you.
Lord, you give true peace\par to people who depend on you,\par to people who trust you.\parSo, trust the Lord always.\par Why? Because in the Lord YAH, {\cf2\super [240]} you have a place of safety forever!\par
My soul, wait patiently for God \{to save me\}!\par God is my only hope.\parGod is my fortress. {\cf2\super [367]} \par God saves me.\par God is my place of safety\par high on the mountain.\parMy glory and victory comes from God.\par He is my strong fortress.\par God is my place of safety.\parPeople, trust God all the time!\par Tell God about all your problems. {\cf2\super [368]} \par God is our place of safety.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [369]})\i0 \par
“Come to me all you people that are tired and have heavy burdens. I will give you rest.Accept my work and learn from me. I am gentle and humble in spirit. And you will find rest for your souls.Yes, the work that I ask you to accept is easy. The burden I give you to carry is not heavy.”
Taste the Lord\par and see how good he is.\par The person that depends on the Lord\par will be truly happy.\par
We know that in everything God works for the good of those people that love him. These are the people God called (chose), because that was his plan.
I look up to the hills \{for help\}.\par But where will my help really come from?\parMy help will come from the Lord,\par the Creator of heaven and earth.\par
“I am the vine and you are the branches. If a person continues in me and I continue in that person, then that person will make much fruit. But without me that person can do nothing.
The Lord is my shepherd.\par I will always have everything I need. {\cf2\super [138]} \parHe lets me lie down in green pastures.\par He leads me by calm pools of water.\par
It is better to trust the Lord\par than to trust people.\parIt is better to trust the Lord\par than to trust your leaders.\par
But the Lord said to me, “My grace (kindness) is enough for you. When you are weak, then my power is made perfect in you.” So I am very happy to boast about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can live in me.So I am happy when I have weaknesses. I am happy when people say bad things to me. I am happy when I have hard times. I am happy when people treat me badly. And I am happy when I have problems. All these things are for Christ. And I am happy with these things, because when I am weak, then I am truly strong.
Who were those people who heard God’s voice and were against him? It was all those people that Moses led out of Egypt.
Don’t worry about anything. But pray and ask God for everything you need. And when you pray, always give thanks.And God’s peace will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. That peace which God gives is so great that we cannot understand it.
But people that trust the Lord\par become strong again\par like eagles that grow new feathers.\par These people run without becoming weak.\par These people walk without becoming tired.\par
I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace while you trust in him. Then you will have more and more hope, and it will flow out of you by the power of the Holy Spirit. {\cf2\super [150]}
The Lord is my strength.\par He is my shield.\par I trusted him.\par And he helped me.\par I am very happy!\par And I sing songs of praise to him.\par
The only temptations that you have are the same temptations that all people have. But you can trust God. He will not let you be tempted more than you can bear. But when you are tempted, God will also give you a way to escape that temptation. Then you will be able to endure it.
Master, I am only a poor, helpless man.\par Help me. Save me.\par My God, don’t be too late!\par
God’s power is complete. [140] The Lord’s word has been tested. He protects people who trust him.
You can go to God Most-High to hide.\par You can go to the God All-Powerful\par for protection.\parI say to the Lord,\par “You are my place of safety, my fortress.\par My God, I trust you.”\par
God is our storehouse of strength.\par In him, we can always find help\par in times of trouble.\par
People who know your name\par should trust you.\par Lord, if people come to you,\par you will not leave them without help.\par
When I am afraid,\par I put my trust in you.\parI trust God, so I am not afraid\par of what people can do to me!\par I praise God for his promise to me.\par
When you have troubles, I am with you. When you cross rivers, you will not be hurt. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not hurt you.
“I leave you peace. It is my own peace I give you. I give you peace in a different way than the world does. So don’t be troubled. Don’t be afraid.
My dear children, you belong to God. So you have defeated them (the false teachers). Why? Because the One (God) who is in you is greater than the one (the devil) who is in \{the people of\} the world.
I am the Lord your God.\par I am holding your right hand.\par And I tell you:\par Don’t be afraid!\par I will help you.\par
So don’t worry about tomorrow. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Tomorrow will have its own worries.
He will not be afraid of bad news.\par That person is confident\par because he trusts the Lord.\parThat person is confident.\par He will not be afraid.\par He will defeat his enemies.\par
Be strong and be brave. Don’t be afraid of those people! Why? Because the Lord your God is with you. He will not fail you or leave you.”
Keep your lives free from the love of money. And be satisfied with the things you have. God has said,So we can feel sure and say,
Lord, help me learn your ways.\par Teach me your ways.\parGuide me and teach me your truths.\par You are my God, my Savior.\par I trust you every day.\par
\{The Lord says,\}\par “I will teach you and guide you\par on the way you should live.\par I will protect you and be your guide.\par
So we will wait for the Lord.\par He helps us and he protects us.\parGod makes us happy.\par We truly trust his holy name.\par
With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of.
God began doing good things with you. And God is continuing that work in you. God will finish that work in you when Jesus Christ comes again. I am sure of that.
The Lord is my Rock, {\cf2\super [97]} \par my Fortress, {\cf2\super [98]} \par my Place of Safety.”\par My God is my Rock.\par I run to him for protection.\par God is my shield.\par His power saves me. {\cf2\super [99]} \par The Lord is my hiding place\par high in the hills.\par
The people that respect the Lord also listen to his servant. That servant lives completely trusting in God without knowing what will happen. He truly trusts in the Lord’s name, and that servant depends on his God.
The Spirit {\cf2\super [65]} that we received is not a spirit that makes us slaves again and causes us to fear. The Spirit that we have makes us God’s chosen children. And with that Spirit we say, “Abba, {\cf2\super [66]} Father.”
The Spirit {\cf2\super [4]} God gave us does not make us afraid. He is our source of power and love and self control.
God, be merciful to me.\par Be kind because my soul trusts you.\par I have come to you for protection,\par while the trouble passes.\parI pray to God Most High for help.\par And God takes care of me completely!\par
Faith means being sure of the things we hope for. And faith means knowing that something is real even if we don’t see it.
I am waiting for the Lord to help me.\par My soul waits for him.\par I trust what the Lord says.\par
Truly in our own hearts we believed that we would die. But this happened so that we would not trust in ourselves. It happened so that we would trust in God, who raises people from death.
Lord, you are my Light and my Savior.\par I should not be afraid of anyone!\par The Lord is the place of safety for my life.\par So I will not be afraid of any person.\par
God saves me.\par I trust him.\par I am not afraid.\par He saves me.\par The Lord YAH is my strength.\par He saves me.\par And I sing songs of praise about him. {\cf2\super [139]} \par
My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me.I give my sheep eternal life. They will never die. And no person can take them out of my hand.
And we are also happy with the troubles we have. Why are we happy with troubles? Because we know that these troubles make us more patient.And this patience is proof that we are strong. And this proof gives us hope.And this hope will never disappoint us—\{it will never fail\}. Why? Because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts. God gave us his love through the Holy Spirit. {\cf2\super [48]} That Holy Spirit was a gift to us from God.
The Lord my Master, the Holy One of Israel, says, “If you come back to me you will be saved. The only strength you have will come if you trust me. But you must be calm.”
And God can give you more blessings than you need. Then you will always have plenty of everything. You will have enough to give to every good work.
I can lie down and rest,\par and I know I will wake up.\par Why? Because the Lord\par covers and protects me!\parThousands of soldiers might surround me.\par But I won’t be afraid of those enemies!\par
The Lord helps a soldier walk carefully.\par The Lord keeps the soldier from falling.\parIf the soldier runs and attacks his enemy,\par then the Lord holds the soldier’s hand,\par and keeps him from falling.\par
Maybe my mind {\cf2\super [419]} and body\par will be destroyed,\par but I have the Rock {\cf2\super [420]} I love.\par I have God forever!\par
The Lord says,\par “Your thoughts are not like my thoughts.\par Your ways are not like my ways.\parThe heavens are higher than the earth.\par In the same way, my ways are higher than your ways.\par And my thoughts are higher than your thoughts.”\par The Lord himself said these things.\par
The Lord is our protector and glorious king. {\cf2\super [491]} \par God blesses us with kindness and glory.\par The Lord gives every good thing\par to people who follow and obey him.\par
“I told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have trouble. But be brave! I have defeated the world!”
Lord, I trust you.\par You are my God.\parMy life is in your hands.\par Save me from my enemies.\par Some people are chasing me. {\cf2\super [192]} \par Save me from them.\par
But if any of you needs wisdom, then you should ask God for it. God is generous. He enjoys giving to all people. So God will give you wisdom.
My God is very rich with the glory of Christ Jesus. God will use his riches in Christ Jesus to give you everything you need.
Why should I be so sad?\par Why should I be so upset?\par I should wait for God’s help.\par I will get the chance to praise him yet.\par He will save me!\par
We should hold strongly to the hope that we have. And we should never fail to tell people about our hope. We can trust God to do what he promised.
The Lord my Master will help me. So the bad things they say will not hurt me. I will be strong. I know I will not be disappointed.
I went to God for help.\par And he listened.\par He saved me from all the things I fear.\parLook to God for help.\par You will be accepted.\par Don’t be ashamed. {\cf2\super [210]} \par
I mean that you are saved by grace. And you got that grace by believing. You did not save yourselves. It was a gift from God.No! You are not saved by the things you have done. So no person can boast \{that he saved himself\}.
I hope to visit you soon. Then we can be together and talk.Peace to you. The friends (believers) here with me send their love. Please give our love to each one of the friends there.
I love it when the the Lord hears\par my prayers.\parI love it when he listens to me\par when I call for help.\par
Then Jesus said, “I am the bread that gives life. The person that comes to me will never be hungry. The person that believes in me will never be thirsty.
If we live, we are living for the Lord. And if we die, we are dying for the Lord. So living or dying, we belong to the Lord.
“Lord, be kind to us.\par We have waited for your help.\par Lord, give us strength every morning.\par Save us when we are in trouble.\par
The Lord is happy with people\par who worship him.\par The Lord is pleased with people\par who trust in his true love.\par
Lord, I trusted in your love to help me.\par You saved me and made me happy!\parI sing a happy song to the Lord\par because he did good things for me.\par
As for me, I have come to God.\par And that is good for me.\par I have made the Lord my Master\par my place of safety.\par God, I have come to tell about\par all the things you have done.\par
I say this because I know the plans that I have for you.” This message is from the Lord. “I have good plans for you. I don’t plan to hurt you. I plan to give you hope and a good future.
But the Lord is faithful. He will give you strength and protect you from the Evil One (the devil).
The Lord All-Powerful will judge fairly, and people will know he is great. The Holy God will do the things that are right, and the people will respect him.
Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest. Birds don’t save food in houses or barns. But God takes care of them. And you are worth much more than birds.
Master, you are a kind and merciful God.\par You are patient, loyal, and full of love.\par
Brothers and sisters, I know that I have not yet reached that goal. But there is one thing I always do: I forget the things that are past. I try as hard as I can to reach the goal that is before me.I keep trying to reach the goal and get the prize. That prize is mine because God called me through Christ to the life above.
There is much strength in the name of the Lord. It is like a strong tower. Good people can run to him and be safe.
Some people trust their chariots. {\cf2\super [117]} \par Other people trust their soldiers.\par But we remember the Lord our God.\par
I don’t mean that we are able to say that we can do anything \{good\} ourselves. It is God who makes us able to do all that we do.
The Lord helps weak people to be strong.\par He causes the people without power to become powerful.\par
Lord, look at me and know my heart.\par Test me and know my thoughts.\parSee if I have any evil thoughts.\par And guide me on the path\par that continues forever. {\cf2\super [636]} \par
The Lord is truly good.\par He teaches sinners the right way to live.\parHe teaches humble people his ways.\par He leads them with fairness.\par
The Lord will always lead you. He will satisfy your soul in dry lands. The Lord will give strength to your bones. You will be like a garden that has much water. You will be like a spring that always has water.
Praise the Lord!\par Every day he helps us\par with the loads we must carry.\par God saves us!\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [396]})\i0 \par
So those people who suffer like God wants them to should trust their lives to him. God is the One who made them, and they can trust him. So they should continue to do good.
But I am like a green olive tree\par growing in God’s temple.\par I will trust God’s true love\par forever and ever.\par
The Lord watches and cares\par for his followers that wait for him\par to show his true love.\par
This makes you very happy. But now for a short time different kinds of troubles may make you sad.Why do these troubles happen? To prove that your faith is pure (true). This purity of faith is worth more than gold. Gold can be proved to be pure by fire, but gold will ruin. The purity of your faith will bring you praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ appears (comes).
Lord, you heard what poor people want.\par Listen to their prayers\par and do what they ask!\par
So I am happy when I have weaknesses. I am happy when people say bad things to me. I am happy when I have hard times. I am happy when people treat me badly. And I am happy when I have problems. All these things are for Christ. And I am happy with these things, because when I am weak, then I am truly strong.
Yes, God’s riches are very great! God’s wisdom and knowledge have no end! No person can explain the things God decides. No person can understand God’s ways.
People who love your teachings\par will find true peace.\par Nothing can make those people fall.\par
In Christ we were chosen \{to be God’s people\}. God had already planned for us to be his people, because that is what God wanted. And God is the One who makes everything agree with what he decides and wants.
Jahaziel said, “Listen to me King Jehoshaphat, all you people living in Judah and Jerusalem! The Lord says this to you: ‘Don’t be afraid or worry about this large army, because the battle is not your battle. It is God’s battle!
I love people who love me.\par And if people try hard to find me,\par they will find me.\par
“\{Cyrus, your armies will march,\}\par and I will go in front of you.\par I will make the mountains flat.\par I will break the city gates of bronze.\par I will cut the iron bars on the gates.\parI will give you the wealth\par that is saved in darkness.\par I will give you those hidden riches.\par I will do this so that you will know\par that I am the Lord.\par I am the God of Israel,\par and I am calling you by name!\par
Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us. Those things were written so that we could have hope. That hope comes from the patience and strength that the Scriptures give us.
“Continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door will open for you.Yes, if a person continues asking, that person will receive. If a person continues looking, that person will find. And if a person continues knocking, the door will open for that person.
We must not become tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest \{of eternal life\} at the right time. We must not give up!
The Lord tells his secrets to his followers.\par He teaches his Agreement {\cf2\super [153]} to them.\par
“But Job, if I were you,\par I would turn to God\par and tell him about my problems.\parPeople can’t understand\par the wonderful things God does.\par There is no end to the miracles God does.\par
God’s power is complete. {\cf2\super [104]} \par The Lord’s word has been tested.\par He protects people who trust him.\par
\{But I say\},\par “Can a woman forget her baby? No!\par Can a woman forget the child\par that came from her body?\par No! A woman can’t forget her children.\par And I (the Lord) can’t forget you.\parLook, I have carved your name\par into my hand.\par I think about you all the time! {\cf2\super [416]} \par
I mean that to me the only important thing about living is Christ. And even death would be profit for me. {\cf2\super [10]}
A person can make plans about the things that he wants to do. But it is the Lord who decides what will happen.
\{I have everything I need!\}\par I am with you always.\par God, you hold my hand.\parGod, you lead me and give me good advice.\par And later you will lead me to glory. {\cf2\super [418]} \par
Later, Jesus talked to the people again. Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. The person that follows me will never live in darkness. That person will have the light that gives life.”
Then I will lead the blind people\par in a way they never knew.\par I will lead the blind people\par to places they have never been before.\par I will change darkness into light for them.\par And I will make the rough ground smooth.\par I will do the things I promised!\par And I will not leave my people.\par
And the Spirit himself joins with our spirits to say we are God’s children.If we are God’s children, then we will get the blessings God has for his people. We will get these things from God. God will give us all that he has given Christ. But we must suffer like Christ suffered. Then we will be able to share his glory.
Yes, God is working in you. God helps you want to do the things that please him. And he gives you the power to do these things.
I will make rivers flow on dry hills.\par I will make springs of water flow\par through the valleys.\par I will change the desert into a lake\par filled with water.\par There will be springs of water\par in that dry land.\par
God, you are my God.\par And I want you so much.\par My soul and my body thirst for you,\par like a dry, weary land with no water.\parYes, I have seen you in your temple.\par I have seen your strength and glory.\parYour love is better than life.\par My lips praise you.\par
People that live following their sinful selves think only about things that their sinful selves want. But those people that live following the Spirit {\cf2\super [62]} are thinking about the things that the Spirit wants them to do.If a person’s thinking is controlled by his sinful self, then there is spiritual death. But if a person’s thinking is controlled by the Spirit, then there is life and peace.
Timothy, you are \{like\} a son to me. Be strong in the grace (kindness) that we have in Christ Jesus.
The Lord says,\par “I am the One who comforts you.\par So why should you be afraid of people?\par They are only people that live and die.\par They are only humans—\par they die the same as grass.”\parThe Lord made you.\par With his power he made the earth!\par And with his power he spread the skies\par over the earth!\par But you forget him and his power.\par So you are always afraid of angry men\par that hurt you.\par Those men planned to destroy you.\par But where are they now?\par \{They are all gone\}!\par
You will teach me the right way to live.\par Just being with you, Lord, will bring\par complete happiness.\par Being at your right side will bring\par happiness forever.\par
