Life is a journey, a time where we can learn to use our free will to overcome temptation and choose to follow Jesus. It's true, the Bible calls these times "perilous" (2 Timothy 3:1), and you can really feel the pull of the world around us. But there's hope. You have the power within you to overcome and resist temptation through the Holy Spirit.

If you humble yourself before God and pray consistently for strength, you won't be tempted beyond what you can handle. It's about drawing closer to Him, leaning on Him, and trusting that He'll give you the strength you need to make it through anything.

When He reached the place, He told them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

No one undergoing a trial should say, “I am being tempted by God.” For God is not tempted by evil, and He Himself doesn’t tempt anyone.But each person is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own evil desires.

For since He Himself was tested and has suffered, He is able to help those who are tested.

Stay awake and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it.

A man who endures trials is blessed, because when he passes the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

“Why are you sleeping? ” He asked them. “Get up and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation.”

Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.

And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Brothers, if someone is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual should restore such a person with a gentle spirit, watching out for yourselves so you also won’t be tempted.

I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin.Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time.

But those who want to be rich fall into temptation, a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge people into ruin and destruction.

Therefore, submit to God. But resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.

Flee from youthful passions, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil.For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.

You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Be serious! Be alert! Your adversary the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.Resist him and be firm in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are being experienced by your fellow believers throughout the world.

Do not deprive one another sexually — except when you agree for a time, to devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again; otherwise, Satan may tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Don’t set foot on the path of the wicked; don’t proceed in the way of evil ones.Avoid it; don’t travel on it. Turn away from it, and pass it by.

Run from sexual immorality! “Every sin a person can commit is outside the body.” On the contrary, the person who is sexually immoral sins against his own body.

Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable — if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise — dwell on these things.

and don’t give the Devil an opportunity.

But sexual immorality and any impurity or greed should not even be heard of among you, as is proper for saints.

But you, man of God, run from these things, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness.Fight the good fight for the faith; take hold of eternal life that you were called to and have made a good confession about in the presence of many witnesses.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Moreover, keep Your servant from willful sins; do not let them rule over me. Then I will be innocent and cleansed from blatant rebellion.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my mountain where I seek refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.”

For it is God who is working in you, enabling you both to desire and to work out His good purpose.

Many adversities come to the one who is righteous, but the Lord delivers him from them all.
