I know you go through times of pain and sadness. It's okay to feel that way; it's not bad or sinful. Even Jesus wept when he heard his friend Lazarus had died (John 11:35).
It's important to talk to God about how you're feeling when you're down. He wants to hear from you. In the scriptures, there's so much peace and restoration to be found. Those times of heartache and pain can actually be used for good, for your own good and for the good of others who need to see that there's still hope even in the midst of the storms of life.
Let God be your safe place, your refuge when things get tough. You'll see how His love strengthens you. Don't look anywhere else for comfort; it's only in Jesus' arms that you'll find the peace your soul needs. His comfort revives your spirit and gives you the strength to keep going. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning with Jesus.
Let it still be my consolation, yes, let me exult in pain that doesn’t spare, that I have not denied the words of the Holy One.

The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by your name, LORD, God of Armies.
The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed towards us.
I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
For his anger is but for a moment. His favour is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.
Surely he has borne our sickness and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.
Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today is holy to our Lord. Don’t be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
“Come to me, all you who labour and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. and said to him, “Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?” For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
“I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who will be made as grass?
No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you.
For even though the fig tree doesn’t flourish, nor fruit be in the vines, the labour of the olive fails, the fields yield no food, the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

“Man, who is born of a woman, is of few days, and full of trouble. But man dies, and is laid low. Yes, man gives up the spirit, and where is he? As the waters fail from the sea, and the river wastes and dries up, so man lies down and doesn’t rise. Until the heavens are no more, they will not awake, nor be roused out of their sleep. “Oh that you would hide me in Sheol, that you would keep me secret until your wrath is past, that you would appoint me a set time and remember me! If a man dies, will he live again? I would wait all the days of my warfare, until my release should come. You would call, and I would answer you. You would have a desire for the work of your hands. But now you count my steps. Don’t you watch over my sin? My disobedience is sealed up in a bag. You fasten up my iniquity. “But the mountain falling comes to nothing. The rock is removed out of its place. The waters wear the stones. The torrents of it wash away the dust of the earth. So you destroy the hope of man. He grows up like a flower, and is cut down.
