I know you go through times of pain and sadness. It's okay to feel that way; it's not bad or sinful. Even Jesus wept when he heard his friend Lazarus had died (John 11:35).
It's important to talk to God about how you're feeling when you're down. He wants to hear from you. In the scriptures, there's so much peace and restoration to be found. Those times of heartache and pain can actually be used for good, for your own good and for the good of others who need to see that there's still hope even in the midst of the storms of life.
Let God be your safe place, your refuge when things get tough. You'll see how His love strengthens you. Don't look anywhere else for comfort; it's only in Jesus' arms that you'll find the peace your soul needs. His comfort revives your spirit and gives you the strength to keep going. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning with Jesus.
Then I would yet have my comfort, then I would rejoice, in spite of pitiless pain, for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.

Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we may be able to comfort those experiencing any trouble with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
As your words came to me I drank them in, and they filled my heart with joy and happiness because I belong to you.
The Lord is my high ridge, my stronghold, my deliverer. My God is my rocky summit where I take shelter, my shield, the horn that saves me, and my refuge.

No one will be able to resist you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not abandon you or leave you alone.
When the fig tree does not bud, and there are no grapes on the vines; when the olive trees do not produce, and the fields yield no crops; when the sheep disappear from the pen, and there are no cattle in the stalls,I will rejoice because of the Lord; I will be happy because of the God who delivers me!

“Man, born of woman, lives but a few days, and they are full of trouble. But man dies and is powerless; he expires – and where is he?As water disappears from the sea, or a river drains away and dries up,so man lies down and does not rise; until the heavens are no more, they will not awake nor arise from their sleep.“O that you would hide me in Sheol, and conceal me till your anger has passed! O that you would set me a time and then remember me!If a man dies, will he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait until my release comes. You will call and I – I will answer you; you will long for the creature you have made.“Surely now you count my steps; then you would not mark my sin.My offenses would be sealed up in a bag; you would cover over my sin.But as a mountain falls away and crumbles, and as a rock will be removed from its place,as water wears away stones, and torrents wash away the soil, so you destroy man’s hope.He grows up like a flower and then withers away; he flees like a shadow, and does not remain.
