48 Bible verses about Pain

48 Bible verses about Pain

I know you go through times of pain and sadness. It's okay to feel that way; it's not bad or sinful. Even Jesus wept when he heard his friend Lazarus had died (John 11:35).

It's important to talk to God about how you're feeling when you're down. He wants to hear from you. In the scriptures, there's so much peace and restoration to be found. Those times of heartache and pain can actually be used for good, for your own good and for the good of others who need to see that there's still hope even in the midst of the storms of life.

Let God be your safe place, your refuge when things get tough. You'll see how His love strengthens you. Don't look anywhere else for comfort; it's only in Jesus' arms that you'll find the peace your soul needs. His comfort revives your spirit and gives you the strength to keep going. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning with Jesus.

Prayer

Redeeming God! I cry out to you today, seeking your face to give you glory and honor. I come before you through my Lord Jesus Christ. In this painful moment, I ask for your strength and healing for the wound this pain has caused within me. Guard my heart from bitterness and resentment. Lord Jesus, I know you will use this pain I'm going through to heal others, just as we have been healed through your wounds on the cross at Calvary. For only you give strength to the weary and increase the power of the weak. Your word says, "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Thank you, Lord. To you be all the glory and honor. In Jesus' name, Amen.
