Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into manifold temptations;knowing that the proving of your faith worketh patience.And let patience have {\i its} perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, lacking in nothing.\par

rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in prayer;

Wait for Jehovah:\par\tab Be strong, and let thy heart take courage;\par\tab Yea, wait thou for Jehovah.\par

And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.\par

Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him:\par\tab Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,\par\tab Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as man can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that ye may be able to endure it.\par

Be patient therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it, until it receive the early and latter rain.Be ye also patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

For ye have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.

Wherefore we faint not; but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.\par

Be still, and know that I am God:\par\tab I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

But if we hope for that which we see not, {\i then} do we with patience wait for it.\par

Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of {\i our} faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

My soul, wait thou in silence for God only;\par\tab For my expectation is from him.He only is my rock and my salvation:\par\tab {\i He is} my high tower;\par\tab I shall not be moved.

Our soul hath waited for Jehovah:\par\tab He is our help and our shield.For our heart shall rejoice in him,\par\tab Because we have trusted in his holy name.

Trust in Jehovah with all thy heart,\par\tab And lean not upon thine own understanding:In all thy ways acknowledge him,\par\tab And he will direct thy paths.

Jehovah is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Jehovah.

And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you.

I wait for Jehovah, my soul doth wait,\par\tab And in his word do I hope.

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, ye have been put to grief in manifold trials,that the proof of your faith, {\i being} more precious than gold that perisheth though it is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ:

{\i I had fainted}, unless I had believed to see the goodness of Jehovah\par\tab In the land of the living.Wait for Jehovah:\par\tab Be strong, and let thy heart take courage;\par\tab Yea, wait thou for Jehovah.\par

And therefore will Jehovah wait, that he may be gracious unto you; and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for Jehovah is a God of justice; blessed are all they that wait for him.

In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.\par

{\i The righteous} cried, and Jehovah heard,\par\tab And delivered them out of all their troubles.Jehovah is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart,\par\tab And saveth such as are of a contrite spirit.Many are the afflictions of the righteous;\par\tab But Jehovah delivereth him out of them all.

Jehovah also will be a high tower for the oppressed,\par\tab A high tower in times of trouble;And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee;\par\tab For thou, Jehovah, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

And we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, encourage the fainthearted, support the weak, be longsuffering toward all.

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.\par

But ye, brethren, be not weary in well-doing.

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial among you, which cometh upon you to prove you, as though a strange thing happened unto you:but insomuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exceeding joy.

who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Yea, none that wait for thee shall be put to shame:\par\tab They shall be put to shame that deal treacherously without cause.

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;\par\tab And he that ruleth his spirit, than he that taketh a city.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me\par\tab Thy comforts delight my soul.

fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Thou art my hiding-place and my shield:\par\tab I hope in thy word.

These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.}\par

if we endure, we shall also reign with him: if we shall deny him, he also will deny us:

And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, {\i even} to them that are called according to {\i his} purpose.

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him:\par\tab I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.He shall call upon me, and I will answer him;\par\tab I will be with him in trouble:\par\tab I will deliver him, and honor him.With long life will I satisfy him,\par\tab And show him my salvation.\par

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he hath been approved, he shall receive the crown of life, which {\i the Lord} promised to them that love him.

But even if ye should suffer for righteousness' sake, blessed {\i are ye}: {\b and fear not their fear, neither be troubled};

And thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

because to you it hath been granted in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer in his behalf:having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.\par

And he hath said unto me, {\cf6 My grace is sufficient for thee: for {\i my} power is made perfect in weakness.} Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.\par

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me;\par\tab Thou wilt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of mine enemies,\par\tab And thy right hand will save me.

Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help {\i us} in time of need.\par

This is my comfort in my affliction;\par\tab For thy word hath quickened me.

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and {\b ye shall find rest unto your souls.}For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.}\par

Jehovah will perfect that which concerneth me:\par\tab Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, {\i endureth} for ever;\par\tab Forsake not the works of thine own hands.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us-ward.

Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee:\par\tab He will never suffer the righteous to be moved.

{\i we are} pressed on every side, yet not straitened; perplexed, yet not unto despair;pursued, yet not forsaken; smitten down, yet not destroyed;

It is good for me that I have been afflicted;\par\tab That I may learn thy statutes.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not vain in the Lord.\par

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Wait for Jehovah, and keep his way,\par\tab And he will exalt thee to inherit the land:\par\tab When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, {\b I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.}

casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Jehovah.For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Thou art my hiding-place; thou wilt preserve me from trouble;\par\tab Thou wilt compass me about with songs of deliverance. {\i Selah

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.

My soul melteth for heaviness:\par\tab Strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

Jehovah is my strength and my shield;\par\tab My heart hath trusted in him, and I am helped:\par\tab Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;\par\tab And with my song will I praise him.

So that with good courage we say,\par\tab {\b The Lord is my helper; I will not fear:\par\tab What shall man do unto me?}\par

I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou art afraid of man that shall die, and of the son of man that shall be made as grass;

Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto the wrath {\i of God}: for it is written, {\b Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense,} saith the Lord.

But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

What time I am afraid, I will put my trust in thee.

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Jehovah, {\i even} Jehovah, is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation.

Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are ye when {\i men} shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you.\par

Brethren, I count not myself yet to have laid hold: but one thing {\i I do}, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before.I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

What then shall we say to these things? If God {\i is} for us, who {\i is} against us?

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,\par\tab I will fear no evil; for thou art with me;\par\tab Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me;\par\tab {\i Yet} thy commandments are my delight.

Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.}\par

Like as a father pitieth his children,\par\tab So Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.For he knoweth our frame;\par\tab He remembereth that we are dust.

O Jehovah, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou our arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father;

In peace will I both lay me down and sleep;\par\tab For thou, Jehovah, alone makest me dwell in safety.\par

Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus:

And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:

A friend loveth at all times;\par\tab And a brother is born for adversity.

let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised:

nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.\par

But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.

For this is acceptable, if for conscience toward God a man endureth griefs, suffering wrongfully.For what glory is it, if, when ye sin, and are buffeted {\i for it}, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer {\i for it}, ye shall take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, these may forget, yet will not I forget thee.Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

In love of the brethren be tenderly affectioned one to another; in honor preferring one another;

Be not carried away by divers and strange teachings: for it is good that the heart be established by grace; not by meats, wherein they that occupied themselves were not profited.

The meek will he guide in justice;\par\tab And the meek will he teach his way.

Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, {\cf6 I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.}

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Blessed {\i be} the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

who delivered us out of so great a death, and will deliver: on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us;

If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High\par\tab Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress;\par\tab My God, in whom I trust.

It is better to take refuge in Jehovah\par\tab Than to put confidence in man.

For as the sufferings of Christ abound unto us, even so our comfort also aboundeth through Christ.But whether we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or whether we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which worketh in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer:

The things which ye both learned and received and heard and saw in me, these things do: and the God of peace shall be with you.\par

Unless Jehovah had been my help,\par\tab My soul had soon dwelt in silence.When I said, My foot slippeth;\par\tab Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, held me up.

Then shalt thou call, and Jehovah will answer; thou shalt cry, and he will say, Here I am.\par\par\tab If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking wickedly;

The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God:and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with {\i him}, that we may be also glorified with {\i him}.\par
