55 Bible verses about Serving God

55 Bible verses about Serving God

I want to talk to you about something I've been thinking about a lot lately: commitment to God. It should really be our top priority, shouldn't it? When we strive for excellence in everything we do, it shows what's truly in our hearts—not just to God, but to everyone around us.

Think about it: God gave everything for us. Doesn't He deserve our best? A service that's overflowing with gratitude and done with a genuine desire to please Him?

If you flip through the Scriptures, you'll see Jesus, our Savior, constantly serving others. And not just with words, but with real, tangible actions, both inside and outside the church walls. He really set the bar high for us.

So, how do we measure up? We need to look to Jesus as our role model. We need to walk in His footsteps. And honestly, we need to ask for His help every step of the way. Serving others, just like Jesus did, isn't easy. But it's an act of love, pure and simple. And it's all about making a difference in the lives of those around us.

Prayer

My good Jesus, you are good, your mercy and love are great, you live and reign forever, for your kingdom has no end, it is unshakeable. Father, thank you, for you have promised that where two or three are gathered in your name, there you are among us. And we are all gathered together in your house today to praise and glorify your name. I ask, Holy Spirit, that you take control of this service. May your presence descend upon this place and may we be filled with your glory and may your power be made manifest once again through miracles, healings, and deliverances. I ask that you anoint the life of my pastor and pour out a fresh anointing upon them and use them in the ministry of your word, which will be shared today, so that we may all be built up and instructed in it. Holy Spirit, prepare the heart of your church, awaken in us a hunger, a thirst for your word and for your presence. Help us to stand firm in the faith, to maintain unity among brothers and sisters, and to persevere in prayer. Just like the early church, where all persevered in the doctrine and in fellowship with one another. Lord, strengthen the lives of my brothers and sisters, that on this day of service they may do their work with excellence for you and not for people. Thank you for this day of service and those to come. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
