Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
You desire and you do not have; you murder and envy and you cannot obtain; you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask;you ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, so you can spend it on your passions.
for you are still influenced by the flesh. For since there is still jealousy and dissension among you, are you not influenced by the flesh and behaving like unregenerate people?
Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, depravity,Listen! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you at all!idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish rivalries, dissensions, factions,envying, murder, drunkenness, carousing, and similar things. I am warning you, as I had warned you before: Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God!
Let us live decently as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in discord and jealousy.
Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.
Do not let your heart envy sinners, but rather be zealous in fearing the Lord all the time.
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.But each one is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desires.Then when desire conceives, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is full grown, it gives birth to death.
because all that is in the world (the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the arrogance produced by material possessions) is not from the Father, but is from the world.
Do not fret when wicked men seem to succeed! Do not envy evildoers!Evil men will soon disappear; you will stare at the spot where they once were, but they will be gone.But the oppressed will possess the land and enjoy great prosperity.Evil men plot against the godly and viciously attack them.The Lord laughs in disgust at them, for he knows that their day is coming.Evil men draw their swords and prepare their bows, to bring down the oppressed and needy, and to slaughter those who are godly.Their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.The little bit that a godly man owns is better than the wealth of many evil men,for evil men will lose their power, but the Lord sustains the godly.The Lord watches over the innocent day by day and they possess a permanent inheritance.They will not be ashamed when hard times come; when famine comes they will have enough to eat.For they will quickly dry up like grass, and wither away like plants.But evil men will die; the Lord’s enemies will be incinerated – they will go up in smoke.Evil men borrow, but do not repay their debt, but the godly show compassion and are generous.Surely those favored by the Lord will possess the land, but those rejected by him will be wiped out.The Lord grants success to the one whose behavior he finds commendable.Even if he trips, he will not fall headlong, for the Lord holds his hand.I was once young, now I am old. I have never seen a godly man abandoned, or his children forced to search for food.All day long he shows compassion and lends to others, and his children are blessed.Turn away from evil! Do what is right! Then you will enjoy lasting security.For the Lord promotes justice, and never abandons his faithful followers. They are permanently secure, but the children of evil men are wiped out.The godly will possess the land and will dwell in it permanently.Trust in the Lord and do what is right! Settle in the land and maintain your integrity!
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfishness in your hearts, do not boast and tell lies against the truth.Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, natural, demonic.
Do not fret because of evil people or be envious of wicked people,for their hearts contemplate violence, and their lips speak harm.for the evil person has no future, and the lamp of the wicked will be extinguished.
Now godliness combined with contentment brings great profit.For we have brought nothing into this world and so we cannot take a single thing out either.
Your conduct must be free from the love of money and you must be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you and I will never abandon you.”
so that there may be no division in the body, but the members may have mutual concern for one another.If one member suffers, everyone suffers with it. If a member is honored, all rejoice with it.
But as for me, my feet almost slipped; my feet almost slid out from under me.They are like a dream after one wakes up. O Lord, when you awake you will despise them.Yes, my spirit was bitter, and my insides felt sharp pain.I was ignorant and lacked insight; I was as senseless as an animal before you.But I am continually with you; you hold my right hand.You guide me by your wise advice, and then you will lead me to a position of honor.Whom do I have in heaven but you? When the men arrived after David returned from striking down the Philistine, the women from all the cities of Israel came out singing and dancing to meet King Saul. They were happy as they played their tambourines and three-stringed instruments.The women who were playing the music sang, “Saul has struck down his thousands, but David his tens of thousands!”This made Saul very angry. The statement displeased him and he thought, “They have attributed to David tens of thousands, but to me they have attributed only thousands. What does he lack, except the kingdom?”So Saul was keeping an eye on David from that day onward.
For you must not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Then he said to them, “Watch out and guard yourself from all types of greed, because one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God – what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.
The stingy person hastens after riches and does not know that poverty will overtake him.
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content in any circumstance.I have experienced times of need and times of abundance. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of contentment, whether I go satisfied or hungry, have plenty or nothing.
Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to arouse its desires.
You must put away every kind of bitterness, anger, wrath, quarreling, and evil, slanderous talk.Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.
Everyone who hates his fellow Christian is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if someone happens to have a complaint against anyone else. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also forgive others.
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and not hypocritical.
For who concedes you any superiority? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast as though you did not?
Then I considered all the skillful work that is done: Surely it is nothing more than competition between one person and another. This also is profitless – like chasing the wind.
As in water the face is reflected as a face, so a person’s heart reflects the person.Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; someone else, and not your own lips.As Death and Destruction are never satisfied, so the eyes of a person are never satisfied.
Do everything without grumbling or arguing,so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without blemish though you live in a crooked and perverse society, in which you shine as lights in the world
So put to death whatever in your nature belongs to the earth: sexual immorality, impurity, shameful passion, evil desire, and greed which is idolatry.
Therefore, be imitators of God as dearly loved childrentrying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.For the things they do in secret are shameful even to mention.But all things being exposed by the light are made evident.For everything made evident is light, and for this reason it says: “Awake, O sleeper! Examine me, and probe my thoughts! Test me, and know my concerns!See if there is any idolatrous tendency in me, and lead me in the reliable ancient path!
And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose,
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us,
Finally, be strengthened in the Lord and in the strength of his power.Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
I will give you thanks because your deeds are awesome and amazing. You knew me thoroughly;
And God will exalt you in due time, if you humble yourselves under his mighty handby casting all your cares on him because he cares for you.
Then you will take delight in the Lord, and he will answer your prayers.The Lord helps them and rescues them; he rescues them from evil men and delivers them, for they seek his protection.Commit your future to the Lord! Trust in him, and he will act on your behalf.

Now may the God of endurance and comfort give you unity with one another in accordance with Christ Jesus,so that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.
And do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.
And to all these virtues add love, which is the perfect bond.Let the peace of Christ be in control in your heart (for you were in fact called as one body to this peace), and be thankful.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears punishment has not been perfected in love.
For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.
So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer everyone.
I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you! Don’t be frightened, for I am your God! I strengthen you – yes, I help you – yes, I uphold you with my saving right hand!
But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I will instruct and teach you about how you should live. I will advise you as I look you in the eye.

And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
Look, the Lord takes notice of his loyal followers, those who wait for him to demonstrate his faithfulnessby saving their lives from death and sustaining them during times of famine.
But those who wait for the Lord’s help find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles’ wings, they run without growing weary, they walk without getting tired.
Make me understand your ways, O Lord! Teach me your paths!Guide me into your truth and teach me. For you are the God who delivers me; on you I rely all day long.

with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
For everything that was written in former times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we may have hope.
in whom we have boldness and confident access to God because of Christ’s faithfulness.
But be sure you live out the message and do not merely listen to it and so deceive yourselves.
