Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy.Honor your father and your mother so that you may have a long life in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.Do not murder.Do not commit adultery.Do not steal.Do not give false testimony against your neighbor.Do not covet your neighbor’s house. Do not covet your neighbor’s wife, his male or female slave, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

“If you love Me, you will keep My commands.

“Don’t assume that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.For I assure you: Until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or one stroke of a letter will pass from the law until all things are accomplished.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart.

I have sought You with all my heart; don’t let me wander from Your commands.I understand more than the elders because I obey Your precepts.I have kept my feet from every evil path to follow Your word.I have not turned from Your judgments, for You Yourself have instructed me.How sweet Your word is to my taste — sweeter than honey in my mouth.I gain understanding from Your precepts; therefore I hate every false way.Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.I have solemnly sworn to keep Your righteous judgments.I am severely afflicted; Lord, give me life through Your word.Lord, please accept my willing offerings of praise, and teach me Your judgments.My life is constantly in danger, yet I do not forget Your instruction.I have treasured Your word in my heart so that I may not sin against You.

“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you except to fear the Lord your God by walking in all His ways, to love Him, and to worship the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul?Keep the Lord’s commands and statutes I am giving you today, for your own good.

If you keep My commands you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commands and remain in His love.

The instruction of the Lord is perfect, renewing one’s life; the testimony of the Lord is trustworthy, making the inexperienced wise.The precepts of the Lord are right, making the heart glad; the command of the Lord is radiant, making the eyes light up.

For this is what love for God is: to keep His commands. Now His commands are not a burden,

but showing faithful love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commands.

Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.

He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.This is the greatest and most important command.The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.Again, he sent out other slaves, and said, ‘Tell those who are invited: Look, I’ve prepared my dinner; my oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”

Help me understand Your instruction, and I will obey it and follow it with all my heart.

My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commands;then your barns will be completely filled, and your vats will overflow with new wine.Do not despise the Lord’s instruction, my son, and do not loathe His discipline;for the Lord disciplines the one He loves, just as a father, the son he delights in.Happy is a man who finds wisdom and who acquires understanding,for she is more profitable than silver, and her revenue is better than gold.She is more precious than jewels; nothing you desire compares with her.Long life is in her right hand; in her left, riches and honor.Her ways are pleasant, and all her paths, peaceful.She is a tree of life to those who embrace her, and those who hold on to her are happy.The Lord founded the earth by wisdom and established the heavens by understanding.for they will bring you many days, a full life, and well-being.

“Therefore, love the Lord your God and always keep His mandate and His statutes, ordinances, and commands.

“You are to keep My commands and do them; I am Yahweh.

“I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another.

Happy are those who keep His decrees and seek Him with all their heart.

You must not add anything to what I command you or take anything away from it, so that you may keep the commands of the Lord your God I am giving you.

But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but one who does good works — this person will be blessed in what he does.

Hallelujah! Happy is the man who fears the Lord, taking great delight in His commands.

Circumcision does not matter and uncircumcision does not matter, but keeping God’s commands does.

“Be careful to do as the Lord your God has commanded you; you are not to turn aside to the right or the left.Follow the whole instruction the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live, prosper, and have a long life in the land you will possess.

and keep your obligation to the Lord your God to walk in His ways and to keep His statutes, commands, ordinances, and decrees. This is written in the law of Moses, so that you will have success in everything you do and wherever you turn,

But if you will carefully obey him and do everything I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and a foe to your foes.

The Lord commanded us to follow all these statutes and to fear the Lord our God for our prosperity always and for our preservation, as it is today.

he taught me and said: “Your heart must hold on to my words. Keep my commands and live.

And this is love: that we walk according to His commands. This is the command as you have heard it from the beginning: you must walk in love.

I will never forget Your precepts, for You have given me life through them.

So keep the commands of the Lord your God by walking in His ways and fearing Him.

When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is: fear God and keep His commands, because this is for all humanity.

How happy are those whose way is blameless, who live according to the Lord’s instruction!

He said, “If you will carefully obey the Lord your God, do what is right in His eyes, pay attention to His commands, and keep all His statutes, I will not inflict any illnesses on you that I inflicted on the Egyptians. For I am Yahweh who heals you.”

The one who has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me. And the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father. I also will love him and will reveal Myself to him.”

Abundant peace belongs to those who love Your instruction; nothing makes them stumble.

My son, keep your father’s command, and don’t reject your mother’s teaching.Always bind them to your heart; tie them around your neck.When you walk here and there, they will guide you; when you lie down, they will watch over you; when you wake up, they will talk to you.

For I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commands, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live and multiply, and the Lord your God may bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

This is how we are sure that we have come to know Him: by keeping His commands.The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” yet doesn't keep His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

My tongue sings about Your promise, for all Your commands are righteous.

This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to recite it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do.

The one who keeps commands preserves himself; one who disregards his ways will die.

“If you follow My statutes and faithfully observe My commands,I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars, and heap your dead bodies on the lifeless bodies of your idols; I will reject you.I will reduce your cities to ruins and devastate your sanctuaries. I will not smell the pleasing aroma of your sacrifices.I also will devastate the land, so that your enemies who come to live there will be appalled by it.But I will scatter you among the nations, and I will draw a sword to chase after you. So your land will become desolate, and your cities will become ruins.“Then the land will make up for its Sabbath years during the time it lies desolate, while you are in the land of your enemies. At that time the land will rest and make up for its Sabbaths.As long as it lies desolate, it will have the rest it did not have during your Sabbaths when you lived there.“I will put anxiety in the hearts of those of you who survive in the lands of their enemies. The sound of a wind-driven leaf will put them to flight, and they will flee as one flees from a sword, and fall though no one is pursuing them.They will stumble over one another as if fleeing from a sword though no one is pursuing them. You will not be able to stand against your enemies.You will perish among the nations; the land of your enemies will devour you.Those who survive in the lands of your enemies will waste away because of their sin; they will also waste away because of their fathers’ sins along with theirs.I will give you rain at the right time, and the land will yield its produce, and the trees of the field will bear their fruit.

If only they had such a heart to fear Me and keep all My commands always, so that they and their children will prosper forever.

I delight in Your commands, which I love.I will lift up my hands to Your commands, which I love, and will meditate on Your statutes.

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, you really are My disciples.You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

The one who keeps His commands remains in Him, and He in him. And the way we know that He remains in us is from the Spirit He has given us.

How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked or take the path of sinners or join a group of mockers!Instead, his delight is in the Lord’s instruction, and he meditates on it day and night.

Today, recognize and keep in mind that the Lord is God in heaven above and on earth below; there is no other.But you who have remained faithful to the Lord your God are all alive today.Keep His statutes and commands, which I am giving you today, so that you and your children after you may prosper and so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”

Keep my commands and live; protect my teachings as the pupil of your eye.

But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people.

So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good.

Help me stay on the path of Your commands, for I take pleasure in it.

“Why do you ask Me about what is good? ” He said to him. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live,and you and your children return to the Lord your God and obey Him with all your heart and all your soul by doing everything I am giving you today,love the Lord your God, obey Him, and remain faithful to Him. For He is your life, and He will prolong your life in the land the Lord swore to give to your fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

This is how we know that we love God’s children when we love God and obey His commands.And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true One. We are in the true One — that is, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.Little children, guard yourselves from idols.For this is what love for God is: to keep His commands. Now His commands are not a burden,

How I love Your instruction! It is my meditation all day long.

He then took the covenant scroll and read it aloud to the people. They responded, “We will do and obey everything that the Lord has commanded.”

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight. His praise endures forever.

He said, “Even more, those who hear the word of God and keep it are blessed! ”

I will walk freely in an open place because I seek Your precepts.

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.Moses responded to the people, “Don’t be afraid, for God has come to test you, so that you will fear Him and will not sin.”And the people remained standing at a distance as Moses approached the thick darkness where God was.Then the Lord told Moses, “This is what you are to say to the Israelites: You have seen that I have spoken to you from heaven.You must not make gods of silver to rival Me; you must not make gods of gold for yourselves.“You must make an earthen altar for Me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats, as well as your cattle. I will come to you and bless you in every place where I cause My name to be remembered.If you make a stone altar for Me, you must not build it out of cut stones. If you use your chisel on it, you will defile it.You must not go up to My altar on steps, so that your nakedness is not exposed on it.Do not have other gods besides Me.

Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.

Obey the Lord your God and follow His commands and statutes I am giving you today.”

The commandments: Do not commit adultery; do not murder; do not steal; do not covet; and whatever other commandment — all are summed up by this: Love your neighbor as yourself.

Let your heart be completely devoted to the Lord our God to walk in His statutes and to keep His commands, as it is today.”

I hurried, not hesitating to keep Your commands.

But He answered, “It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

You are to practice My ordinances and you are to keep My statutes by following them; I am Yahweh your God.Keep My statutes and ordinances; a person will live if he does them. I am Yahweh.

Now if you will listen to Me and carefully keep My covenant, you will be My own possession out of all the peoples, although all the earth is Mine,

The instruction of his God is in his heart; his steps do not falter.

Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and so that you may prosper in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

May Your compassion come to me so that I may live, for Your instruction is my delight.

Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches people to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

“This is the command — the statutes and ordinances — the Lord your God has instructed me to teach you, so that you may follow them in the land you are about to enter and possess.“When the Lord your God brings you into the land He swore to your fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that He would give you — a land with large and beautiful cities that you did not build,houses full of every good thing that you did not fill them with, wells dug that you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant — and when you eat and are satisfied,be careful not to forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.Fear Yahweh your God, worship Him, and take your oaths in His name.Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you,for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous God. Otherwise, the Lord your God will become angry with you and wipe you off the face of the earth.Do not test the Lord your God as you tested Him at Massah.Carefully observe the commands of the Lord your God, the decrees and statutes He has commanded you.Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so that you may prosper and so that you may enter and possess the good land the Lord your God swore to give your fathers,by driving out all your enemies before you, as the Lord has said.Do this so that you may fear the Lord your God all the days of your life by keeping all His statutes and commands I am giving you, your son, and your grandson, and so that you may have a long life.

The one who has contempt for instruction will pay the penalty, but the one who respects a command will be rewarded.

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter in the law to drop out.

For if you carefully observe every one of these commands I am giving you to follow — to love the Lord your God, walk in all His ways, and remain faithful to Him —

Open my eyes so that I may contemplate wonderful things from Your instruction.

You are My friends if you do what I command you.

When He finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the testimony, stone tablets inscribed by the finger of God.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord! ’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Moses was there with the Lord 40 days and 40 nights; he did not eat bread or drink water. He wrote the Ten Commandments, the words of the covenant, on the tablets.

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,For wisdom will enter your mind, and knowledge will delight your heart.Discretion will watch over you, and understanding will guard you,rescuing you from the way of evil — from the one who says perverse things,from those who abandon the right paths to walk in ways of darkness,from those who enjoy doing evil and celebrate perversion,whose paths are crooked, and whose ways are devious.It will rescue you from a forbidden woman, from a stranger with her flattering talk,who abandons the companion of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God;for her house sinks down to death and her ways to the land of the departed spirits.None return who go to her; none reach the paths of life.listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding;So follow the way of good people, and keep to the paths of the righteous.For the upright will inhabit the land, and those of integrity will remain in it;but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous uprooted from it.furthermore, if you call out to insight and lift your voice to understanding,if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure,then you will understand the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God.

equip you with all that is good to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ. Glory belongs to Him forever and ever. Amen.

You must follow the Lord your God and fear Him. You must keep His commands and listen to His voice; you must worship Him and remain faithful to Him.

Then all the people responded together, “We will do all that the Lord has spoken.” So Moses brought the people’s words back to the Lord.

I know that His command is eternal life. So the things that I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.”

Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your instruction is true.

Honor your father and your mother so that you may have a long life in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

Jesus answered, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

he taught me and said: “Your heart must hold on to my words. Keep my commands and live.Get wisdom, get understanding; don’t forget or turn away from the words of my mouth.

he said to them, “Take to heart all these words I am giving as a warning to you today, so that you may command your children to carefully follow all the words of this law.For they are not meaningless words to you but they are your life, and by them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

I obey Your precepts and decrees, for all my ways are before You.

However, I did give them this command: Obey Me, and then I will be your God, and you will be My people. You must follow every way I command you so that it may go well with you.

“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock.

Teach me, Lord, the meaning of Your statutes, and I will always keep them.

The Lord said to Moses, “Cut two stone tablets like the first ones, and I will write on them the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.

A wise heart accepts commands, but foolish lips will be destroyed.

“Now if you faithfully obey the Lord your God and are careful to follow all His commands I am giving you today, the Lord your God will put you far above all the nations of the earth.Then all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by Yahweh’s name, and they will stand in awe of you.The Lord will make you prosper abundantly with children, the offspring of your livestock, and your land’s produce in the land the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.The Lord will open for you His abundant storehouse, the sky, to give your land rain in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow.The Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you will only move upward and never downward if you listen to the Lord your God’s commands I am giving you today and are careful to follow them.Do not turn aside to the right or the left from all the things I am commanding you today, and do not go after other gods to worship them.“But if you do not obey the Lord your God by carefully following all His commands and statutes I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overtake you:You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country.Your basket and kneading bowl will be cursed.Your descendants will be cursed, and your land’s produce, the young of your herds, and the newborn of your flocks.You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.All these blessings will come and overtake you, because you obey the Lord your God:

Consider my affliction and rescue me, for I have not forgotten Your instruction.Defend my cause and redeem me; give me life as You promised.

For the hearers of the law are not righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be declared righteous.

Do not make an idol for yourself, whether in the shape of anything in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth.You must not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the fathers’ sin, to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

For whoever keeps the entire law, yet fails in one point, is guilty of breaking it all.For He who said, Do not commit adultery, also said, Do not murder. So if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you are a lawbreaker.Speak and act as those who will be judged by the law of freedom.

Hold on to instruction; don’t let go. Guard it, for it is your life.

I assure you: If anyone keeps My word, he will never see death — ever! ”

The Lord will establish you as His holy people, as He swore to you, if you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.

Help me understand the meaning of Your precepts so that I can meditate on Your wonders.

He answered: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.“You’ve answered correctly,” He told him. “Do this and you will live.”

but showing faithful love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commands.

And I will give them one heart and put a new spirit within them; I will remove their heart of stone from their bodies and give them a heart of flesh,The Lord said to me, “Son of man, these are the men who plan evil and give wicked advice in this city.so they may follow My statutes, keep My ordinances, and practice them. Then they will be My people, and I will be their God.

I thought about my ways and turned my steps back to Your decrees.Then I would not be ashamed when I think about all Your commands.I hurried, not hesitating to keep Your commands.

Do not murder.Do not commit adultery.

In addition, Your servant is warned by them; there is great reward in keeping them.

He answered them, “And why do you break God’s commandment because of your tradition?

This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws on their hearts and write them on their minds,

But whoever keeps His word, truly in him the love of God is perfected. This is how we know we are in Him:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.

Consider my affliction and rescue me, for I have not forgotten Your instruction.

Carefully follow them, for this will show your wisdom and understanding in the eyes of the peoples. When they hear about all these statutes, they will say, ‘This great nation is indeed a wise and understanding people.’For what great nation is there that has a god near to it as the Lord our God is to us whenever we call to Him?And what great nation has righteous statutes and ordinances like this entire law I set before you today?

I rejoice in the way revealed by Your decrees as much as in all riches.

“Instead, this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days” — the Lord’s declaration. “I will put My teaching within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people.

honor your father and your mother; and love your neighbor as yourself.

And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does God’s will remains forever.

“Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things I say?

The Spirit is the One who gives life. The flesh doesn’t help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

Come back later. I’ll give it tomorrow” — when it is there with you.Don’t plan any harm against your neighbor, for he trusts you and lives near you.Never let loyalty and faithfulness leave you. Tie them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.Don’t accuse anyone without cause, when he has done you no harm.Don’t envy a violent man or choose any of his ways;for the devious are detestable to the Lord, but He is a friend to the upright.The Lord’s curse is on the household of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the righteous;He mocks those who mock, but gives grace to the humble.The wise will inherit honor, but He holds up fools to dishonor.Then you will find favor and high regard in the sight of God and man.

Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God, because the Lord will not leave anyone unpunished who misuses His name.

You must be careful to do everything I command you; do not add anything to it or take anything away from it.

For in my inner self I joyfully agree with God’s law.

The one who doesn’t love Me will not keep My words. The word that you hear is not Mine but is from the Father who sent Me.

I have Your decrees as a heritage forever; indeed, they are the joy of my heart.I am resolved to obey Your statutes to the very end.

Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol on your forehead.Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

“And now, my sons, listen to me; those who keep my ways are happy.Listen to instruction and be wise; don’t ignore it.Anyone who listens to me is happy, watching at my doors every day, waiting by the posts of my doorway.For the one who finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord,but the one who misses me harms himself; all who hate me love death.”

“If you are not careful to obey all the words of this law, which are written in this scroll, by fearing this glorious and awesome name — Yahweh, your God —He will bring extraordinary plagues on you and your descendants, severe and lasting plagues, and terrible and chronic sicknesses.

Anyone who is not with Me is against Me, and anyone who does not gather with Me scatters.

“I assure you: Anyone who hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.

You are near, Lord, and all Your commands are true.Long ago I learned from Your decrees that You have established them forever.

teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

This is My command: Love one another as I have loved you.

But as the One who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in all your conduct;for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy.

How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping Your word.

Make sure that you do not reject the One who speaks. For if they did not escape when they rejected Him who warned them on earth, even less will we if we turn away from Him who warns us from heaven.

Therefore, observe the words of this covenant and follow them, so that you will succeed in everything you do.

Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are blessed, for they will be filled.

The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” yet doesn't keep His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Do not steal.Do not give false testimony against your neighbor.
