VERSES ABOUT SPECIAL DAYS

VERSES ABOUT SPECIAL DAYS

Isn't God amazing? He gives us so many moments to celebrate and rejoice with family and friends. Think about those special times we look forward to, like birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, you name it. They're such a blessing.

But you know what? God's mercies are new every morning.1 That makes every day special, a day to rejoice in our Lord Jesus Christ and all the wonderful things He does.

When we're celebrating with loved ones, it's always a good opportunity to share God's word and reflect on His goodness.

Proverbs 31:10-31

Who can find a wife of noble character? For her value is far more than rubies. The heart of her husband has confidence in her, and he has no lack of gain. She brings him good and not evil all the days of her life. She obtains wool and flax, and she is pleased to work with her hands. She is like the merchant ships; she brings her food from afar. She also gets up while it is still night, and provides food for her household and a portion to her female servants. She considers a field and buys it; from her own income she plants a vineyard. She begins her work vigorously, and she strengthens her arms. She knows that her merchandise is good, and her lamp does not go out in the night. Her hands take hold of the distaff, and her hands grasp the spindle.O my son, O son of my womb, O son of my vows,She extends her hand to the poor, and reaches out her hand to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household, for all of her household are clothed with scarlet. She makes for herself coverlets; her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband is well-known in the city gate when he sits with the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. She is clothed with strength and honor, and she can laugh at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and loving instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also praises her:“Many daughters have done valiantly, but you surpass them all!”Do not give your strength to women, nor your ways to that which ruins kings.Charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised.Give her credit for what she has accomplished, and let her works praise her in the city gates.

Ephesians 6:1-3

Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. Finally, be strengthened in the Lord and in the strength of his power.Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. For this reason, take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your ground on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand.Stand firm therefore, by fastening the belt of truth around your waist, by putting on the breastplate of righteousness,by fitting your feet with the preparation that comes from the good news of peace, and in all of this, by taking up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.With every prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit, and to this end be alert, with all perseverance and requests for all the saints.Pray for me also, that I may be given the message when I begin to speak – that I may confidently make known the mystery of the gospel,“Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment accompanied by a promise, namely, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may be able to speak boldly as I ought to speak.Tychicus, my dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make everything known to you, so that you too may know about my circumstances, how I am doing.I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know our circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts.Peace to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.Grace be with all of those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.“that it may go well with you and that you will live a long time on the earth.”

Prayer

Beloved God, all adoration and praise are Yours, for You alone are worthy! Thank you for being the source of all things, the wellspring from which my soul's love, joy, harmony, peace, and abundance flow. Bless this special day, I pray, and renew Your Spirit within me and my family. Make my heart an altar of constant worship, where Your love reigns supreme above every celebration, circumstance, or personal desire. Lord, watch over and bless all those who share this day with me, filling them with Your presence. Thank you for being my help and refuge, regardless of the day or hour. I ask that I may always walk guided by Your Holy Spirit, facing every challenge and trial with courage, and emerging victorious. Lord, protect me from every snare and scheme of the evil one. In Jesus' name, Amen.
