The Bible teaches us to stay away from all kinds of evil and to always do what's right. Immorality, whether it's in what we do or even what we think, pulls us away from God's path and leads us down a dangerous road.
Proverbs 6:32-33NIV warns us about what happens when we're immoral: "But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself. He will find nothing but pain and disgrace, and his shame will never be wiped away." These words show us just how serious immoral acts are and how they mess up both our spiritual lives and our relationships.
It's important to remember that immorality isn't just about what we do; it's also about our thoughts and secret desires. Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:28NIV, "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." This shows us how deep our repentance needs to be and how much we need to strive for purity in every part of our lives.
When we think about immorality, we need to remember how important it is to live the way God wants us to. We have to give up anything that pulls us away from His will and seek holiness in everything we do and think. That's the only way we can experience the fullness of a life walking with God and avoid the destructive consequences of immorality.
But because of immoralities, each man should have relations with his own wife and each woman with her own husband.
For this is God’s will: that you become holy, that you keep away from sexual immorality,that each of you know how to possess his own body in holiness and honor,not in lustful passion like the Gentiles who do not know God.
Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin a person commits is outside of the body” – but the immoral person sins against his own body.
It is actually reported that sexual immorality exists among you, the kind of immorality that is not permitted even among the Gentiles, so that someone is cohabiting with his father’s wife.
Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, depravity,Listen! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you at all!idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish rivalries, dissensions, factions,envying, murder, drunkenness, carousing, and similar things. I am warning you, as I had warned you before: Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God!
But among you there must not be either sexual immorality, impurity of any kind, or greed, as these are not fitting for the saints.
For this is God’s will: that you become holy, that you keep away from sexual immorality,
Now I say to you that whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another commits adultery.”
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to desire her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
For the lips of the adulterous woman drip honey, and her seductive words are smoother than olive oil,but in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.Her feet go down to death; her steps lead straight to the grave.
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, passive homosexual partners, practicing homosexuals,
But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who calls himself a Christian who is sexually immoral, or greedy, or an idolater, or verbally abusive, or a drunkard, or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person.
But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except for immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Furthermore, they did not repent of their murders, of their magic spells, of their sexual immorality, or of their stealing.
For this reason God gave them over to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged the natural sexual relations for unnatural ones,and likewise the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed in their passions for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
But keep away from youthful passions, and pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love, and peace, in company with others who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
I have given her time to repent, but she is not willing to repent of her sexual immorality.
I am afraid that when I come again, my God may humiliate me before you, and I will grieve for many of those who previously sinned and have not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and licentiousness that they have practiced.
And let us not be immoral, as some of them were, and twenty-three thousand died in a single day.
In no way did I mean the immoral people of this world, or the greedy and swindlers and idolaters, since you would then have to go out of the world.
A man who commits adultery with a woman lacks wisdom, whoever does it destroys his own life.
Marriage must be honored among all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge sexually immoral people and adulterers.
And see to it that no one becomes an immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal.
That is why a man leaves his father and mother and unites with his wife, and they become a new family.
Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the sexually immoral, and the murderers, and the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood!

You must not have sexual intercourse with a male as one has sexual intercourse with a woman; it is a detestable act.
Let us live decently as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in discord and jealousy.Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to arouse its desires.
Because they are callous, they have given themselves over to indecency for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.
Do not lust in your heart for her beauty, and do not let her captivate you with her alluring eyes;for on account of a prostitute one is brought down to a loaf of bread, but the wife of another man preys on your precious life.
So put to death whatever in your nature belongs to the earth: sexual immorality, impurity, shameful passion, evil desire, and greed which is idolatry.
For out of the heart come evil ideas, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its desires,and do not present your members to sin as instruments to be used for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead and your members to God as instruments to be used for righteousness.
Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.For the things they do in secret are shameful even to mention.
because all that is in the world (the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the arrogance produced by material possessions) is not from the Father, but is from the world.
But I say, live by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh.For the flesh has desires that are opposed to the Spirit, and the Spirit has desires that are opposed to the flesh, for these are in opposition to each other, so that you cannot do what you want.
“Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food, but God will do away with both.” The body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
He answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female,and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
If a man has sexual intercourse with a male as one has sexual intercourse with a woman, the two of them have committed an abomination. They must be put to death; their blood guilt is on themselves.
She persuaded him with persuasive words; with her smooth talk she compelled him.Suddenly he went after her like an ox that goes to the slaughter, like a stag prancing into a trapper’s snaretill an arrow pierces his liver – like a bird hurrying into a trap, and he does not know that it will cost him his life.
So also Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighboring towns, since they indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire in a way similar to these angels, are now displayed as an example by suffering the punishment of eternal fire.
For you can be confident of this one thing: that no person who is immoral, impure, or greedy (such a person is an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Even though they have the appearance of wisdom with their self-imposed worship and false humility achieved by an unsparing treatment of the body – a wisdom with no true value – they in reality result in fleshly indulgence.
For the outlook of the flesh is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace,because the outlook of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to the law of God, nor is it able to do so.Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
but, like the Holy One who called you, become holy yourselves in all of your conduct,for it is written, “You shall be holy, because I am holy.”
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things.
For the time that has passed was sufficient for you to do what the non-Christians desire. You lived then in debauchery, evil desires, drunkenness, carousing, drinking bouts, and wanton idolatries.So they are astonished when you do not rush with them into the same flood of wickedness, and they vilify you.
May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in your young wife –a loving doe, a graceful deer; may her breasts satisfy you at all times, may you be captivated by her love always.
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you not competent to settle trivial suits?For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.
But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness.
Do not become partners with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways – do not wander into her pathways;for she has brought down many fatally wounded, and all those she has slain are many.Her house is the way to the grave, going down to the chambers of death.
Dear friends, I urge you as foreigners and exiles to keep away from fleshly desires that do battle against the soul,
Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.
Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
Give me your heart, my son, and let your eyes observe my ways;for a prostitute is like a deep pit; a harlot is like a narrow well.

Now those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Do not lay hands on anyone hastily and so identify with the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.
Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves.They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
Charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised.
Let your beauty not be external – the braiding of hair and wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes –but the inner person of the heart, the lasting beauty of a gentle and tranquil spirit, which is precious in God’s sight.
For if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins is left for us,but only a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that will consume God’s enemies.

The wicked need to abandon their lifestyle and sinful people their plans. They should return to the Lord, and he will show mercy to them, and to their God, for he will freely forgive them.
