If any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given to him.

Trust in the LORD with all thy heart; and lean not to thy own understanding.In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy paths.

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

I will instruct thee, and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with my eye.

A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

NUN. Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth to counsel is wise.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Walk in wisdom towards them that are without, redeeming the time.

Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counselors they are established.

However, we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to naught:But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the world to our glory:

Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Commit thy way to the LORD; trust also in him; and he will bring it to pass.

The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and the door shall be opened to you:

The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.

He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.

For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

Give therefore to thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;That ye may walk worthy of the Lord to all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.

With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.

Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:And he changeth the times and the seasons; he removeth kings, and setteth up kings; he giveth wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counselor hath taught him?With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding?

Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.

Whoever loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.

For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense: but the excellence of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

For whoever findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favor from the LORD.But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

MEM. O how I love thy law! it is my meditation all the day.Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than my enemies: for they are ever with me.

He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.

The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom: and before honor is humility.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain to wise counsels:

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Be not wise in thy own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?Man knoweth not the price of it; neither is it found in the land of the living.

What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in operation.

In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold? and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver?

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of scoffers.But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

To God the only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

To the intent that now to the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

So that thou incline thy ear to wisdom, and apply thy heart to understanding;

And that from a child thou hast known the sacred scriptures, which are able to make thee wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than my enemies: for they are ever with me.I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.

Thou wilt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy to him that understandeth.

TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.

Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.

Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.

For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may reveal itself.

But God hath revealed them to us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, even the deep things of God.

My son, let not them depart from thy eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:

And God gave Solomon great wisdom and understanding, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yes, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?She standeth on the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.

There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.

A hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbor: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.

Heaviness in the heart of man depresseth it: but a good word maketh it glad.

The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

And the spirit of the LORD will rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Bow down thy ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thy heart to my knowledge.

JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy great people?

To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we may know the things that are freely given to us by God.

It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,Provideth her provisions in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.

Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

My son, attend to my words; incline thy ear to my sayings.Let them not depart from thy eyes; keep them in the midst of thy heart.

The works of the LORD are great, sought out by all them that have pleasure in them.

My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:Bind them continually upon thy heart, and tie them about thy neck.When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.The law of thy mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.

My son, if thy heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.Yes, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.

Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, who call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

For God giveth to a man who is good in his sight, wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth toil, to gather, and to amass, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Wisdom hath built her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

Let thy eyes look right on, and let thy eyelids look straight before thee.Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night season.

The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.

He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame to him.

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them.

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.

Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun.For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense: but the excellence of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

For ye were sometime darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light;(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth;)

Moreover, by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
