Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths.Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way;though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the LORD upholds his hand.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Do not be conformed to this world,[3] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.[4]
Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me.
And the LORD will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
The law of the LORD is perfect,[3] reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts![3]And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting![4]
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."So we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?"
The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice.The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip.
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor;[1] he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;[2]
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.[1]
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
Ponder[3] the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure.Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.
For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, "In returning[3] and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength." But you were unwilling,
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.
Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O LORD, and whom you teach out of your law,to give him rest from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers,[1] by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.[2]Do not be conformed to this world,[3] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.[4]
For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,
Who is the man who fears the LORD? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose.His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD.For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act.He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.
To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, 'Here I am.' If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
the LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous.
For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, "Fear not, I am the one who helps you."
And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
they shall not hunger or thirst, neither scorching wind nor sun shall strike them, for he who has pity on them will lead them, and by springs of water will guide them.
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!"
"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling!
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
But how are they to call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?[3] And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
"Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved,[2] a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus,
The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose way is upright;
even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.
And they rose early in the morning and went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. And when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Hear me, Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the LORD your God, and you will be established; believe his prophets, and you will succeed."
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust[5] destroy and where thieves break in and steal,but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Only let your manner of life be worthy[7] of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel,
to grant to those who mourn in Zion -- to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.[3]
I know, O LORD, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.
"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
