119 Bible verses about the Future

119 Bible verses about the Future

Think about it, only God truly knows what's ahead, right? He holds yesterday, today, and tomorrow in His hands. So much of life is a mystery to us, but thankfully, He does reveal some things about the future.

Honestly, nothing in this world feels truly secure, except for our faith in Christ. It can seem like everything is up in the air, especially when we read in Matthew 24:121 that "wickedness will increase and the love of many will grow cold." Even when we try to create a sense of security, we're incredibly fragile, completely dependent on God for everything, even each breath we take.

But when anxiety creeps in and tries to steal your peace, remember what God says in Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Daniel 8:19

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Now we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also we believe that God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep as Christians. For we tell you this by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will surely not go ahead of those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be suddenly caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Prayer

Thank you, my Healer, my Provider, my Keeper. You fight my battles and lead me from glory to glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, I thank you, Lord, for your promises over my life, those I have believed and because of which I stand today. Your word says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” I believe in my heart that you have a bright future and a blessed hope for me, even at your return, Lord. I know you will purify my heart so that it is ready to enter your kingdom. Before your throne, my God, I place all my future plans; my desires are in your hands. According to your loving kindness, work in my life and in my family so that your word is fulfilled and not our will. I trust, my God, that you will uphold me each day and will not allow temptation to overcome me. Deliver me from being brought down by evil and sickness. You will heal me and cause me to enjoy abundance, giving me peace and security always. In Jesus' name, Amen.
