VERSES ABOUT PRAYER

Think about what you need and ask God for it. Like any good parent, He knows what His children need. Prayer should absolutely include asking for things, because when you ask God for something, you're acknowledging your own limitations. Whatever your situation, bring your needs to the Lord – whether it's provision, protection, healing, or guidance – and just ask for His help.

Psalm 139:4¹ says, "Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely." Prayer unlocks the treasures of God's Kingdom. It's a key the Creator has placed right in your hand, and He wants you to use it.

It would be so easy for Him to just give you everything you need; everything belongs to Him, and the whole universe is under His command. He could easily provide for you without you ever having to ask. But that's not how He designed it. God loves you, and His greatest desire is to have a close relationship with you. Prayer is the channel through which His provision flows into your life.

At daybreak, Lord, You hear my voice; at daybreak I plead my case to You and watch expectantly.

I rise before dawn and cry out for help; I put my hope in Your word.

God, You are my God; I eagerly seek You. I thirst for You; my body faints for You in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.

But I call to You for help, Lord; in the morning my prayer meets You.

I wait for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning — more than watchmen for the morning.

Yahweh, I remember Your name in the night, and I obey Your instruction.

I long for You in the night; yes, my spirit within me diligently seeks You, for when Your judgments are in the land, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

I spread out my hands to You; I am like parched land before You. Selah

I complain and groan morning, noon, and night, and He hears my voice.

Answer me when I call, God, who vindicates me. You freed me from affliction; be gracious to me and hear my prayer.

Satisfy us in the morning with Your faithful love so that we may shout with joy and be glad all our days.

I rise at midnight to thank You for Your righteous judgments.

But when you pray, go into your private room, shut your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

As a deer longs for streams of water, so I long for You, God.My adversaries taunt me, as if crushing my bones, while all day long they say to me, “Where is your God? ”Why am I so depressed? Why this turmoil within me? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise Him, my Savior and my God.I thirst for God, the living God. When can I come and appear before God?

I have sought You with all my heart; don’t let me wander from Your commands.

Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end.They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!

Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time.

Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; I wait for You all day long.

I love those who love me, and those who search for me find me.

I call with all my heart; answer me, Lord. I will obey Your statutes.I call to You; save me, and I will keep Your decrees.

You remove all the wicked on earth as if they were dross; therefore, I love Your decrees.

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

When he calls out to Me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and give him honor.

Be silent before the Lord and wait expectantly for Him; do not be agitated by one who prospers in his way, by the man who carries out evil plans.

You satisfy me as with rich food; my mouth will praise You with joyful lips.When I think of You as I lie on my bed, I meditate on You during the night watches

The Lord God has given Me the tongue of those who are instructed to know how to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens Me each morning; He awakens My ear to listen like those being instructed.

I will both lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, Lord, make me live in safety.

Out of the depths I call to You, Yahweh!

So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.

I have sought Your favor with all my heart; be gracious to me according to Your promise.

Hallelujah! Happy is the man who fears the Lord, taking great delight in His commands.

Then my enemies will retreat on the day when I call. This I know: God is for me.

How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping Your word.

When I am filled with cares, Your comfort brings me joy.

Lord, Your faithful love reaches to heaven, Your faithfulness to the clouds.

For You, Lord, are kind and ready to forgive, rich in faithful love to all who call on You.

But I trust in You, Lord; I say, “You are my God.”The course of my life is in Your power; deliver me from the power of my enemies and from my persecutors.

At that time, when you call, the Lord will answer; when you cry out, He will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you get rid of the yoke among you, the finger-pointing and malicious speaking,

May my heart be blameless regarding Your statutes so that I will not be put to shame.

“Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.

I put my hope in You, Lord; You will answer, Lord my God.

Trouble and distress have overtaken me, but Your commands are my delight.

The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.

The Lord is near all who call out to Him, all who call out to Him with integrity.

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

My eyes grow weary looking for what You have promised; I ask, “When will You comfort me? ”

But as for me, God’s presence is my good. I have made the Lord God my refuge, so I can tell about all You do.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.

My heart says this about You, “You are to seek My face.” Lord, I will seek Your face.

I have Your decrees as a heritage forever; indeed, they are the joy of my heart.

I will praise the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.

casting all your care on Him, because He cares about you.

Those who know Your name trust in You because You have not abandoned those who seek You, Yahweh.

May Your compassion come to me so that I may live, for Your instruction is my delight.

Keep me from the way of deceit and graciously give me Your instruction.

Lord, You have searched me and known me.even there Your hand will lead me; Your right hand will hold on to me.If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me, and the light around me will be night” —even the darkness is not dark to You. The night shines like the day; darkness and light are alike to You.For it was You who created my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.I will praise You because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable — if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise — dwell on these things.

You have encircled me; You have placed Your hand on me.

I wait for Yahweh; I wait and put my hope in His word.I wait for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning — more than watchmen for the morning.

When I am afraid, I will trust in You.In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

Let my cry reach You, Lord; give me understanding according to Your word.

Teach me good judgment and discernment, for I rely on Your commands.

Your word is completely pure, and Your servant loves it.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight. His praise endures forever.

You will keep the mind that is dependent on You in perfect peace, for it is trusting in You.Trust in the Lord forever, because in Yah, the Lord, is an everlasting rock!

When I think of You as I lie on my bed, I meditate on You during the night watchesbecause You are my helper; I will rejoice in the shadow of Your wings.

For You, Lord, bless the righteous one; You surround him with favor like a shield.

God, hear my prayer; listen to the words of my mouth.

I call on You in the day of my distress, for You will answer me.

The Lord will send His faithful love by day; His song will be with me in the night — a prayer to the God of my life.

I long and yearn for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh cry out for the living God.

I hate those who are double-minded, but I love Your instruction.

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act,

Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are blessed, for they will be filled.

Pay attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for I pray to You.

Instruction from Your lips is better for me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

Turn away the disgrace I dread; indeed, Your judgments are good.

but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.

The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in faithful love.

I wait for Yahweh; I wait and put my hope in His word.

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns.See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the everlasting way.

I waited patiently for the Lord, and He turned to me and heard my cry for help.

In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings.

Happy are those who keep His decrees and seek Him with all their heart.

Let my plea reach You; rescue me according to Your promise.

The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.

Let me experience Your faithful love in the morning, for I trust in You. Reveal to me the way I should go because I long for You.

Be angry and do not sin; on your bed, reflect in your heart and be still. Selah

But You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.

I call with all my heart; answer me, Lord. I will obey Your statutes.

Though the mountains move and the hills shake, My love will not be removed from you and My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” says your compassionate Lord.

Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your instruction is true.

I called to the Lord in distress; the Lord answered me and put me in a spacious place.

I give thanks to my God for every remembrance of you,

Lord, may You be praised; teach me Your statutes.

“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves.and asked Him, “Are You the One who is to come, or should we expect someone else? ”For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

God, Your faithful love is so valuable that people take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.They are filled from the abundance of Your house; You let them drink from Your refreshing stream,for with You is life’s fountain. In Your light we will see light.

The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty.

The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack.

For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor, a lifetime. Weeping may spend the night, but there is joy in the morning.

Indeed, God is my salvation; I will trust Him and not be afraid, for Yah, the Lord, is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation.”

think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.

Let me live, and I will praise You; may Your judgments help me.

May God be praised! He has not turned away my prayer or turned His faithful love from me.

I obey Your precepts and decrees, for all my ways are before You.

Therefore the Lord is waiting to show you mercy, and is rising up to show you compassion, for the Lord is a just God. All who wait patiently for Him are happy.

Wait for the Lord; be strong and courageous. Wait for the Lord.

But You, Lord, don’t be far away. My strength, come quickly to help me.

May the Lord be praised! Day after day He bears our burdens; God is our salvation. Selah

Happy is the one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God,

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the garbage pile

Never take the word of truth from my mouth, for I hope in Your judgments.

Therefore, brothers, since we have boldness to enter the sanctuary through the blood of Jesus,Otherwise, wouldn’t they have stopped being offered, since the worshipers, once purified, would no longer have any consciousness of sins?by a new and living way He has opened for us through the curtain (that is, His flesh ),and since we have a great high priest over the house of God,let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love is eternal.

I lift my eyes toward the mountains. Where will my help come from?My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Yes, Yahweh, we wait for You in the path of Your judgments. Our desire is for Your name and renown.

Young lions lack food and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.

“You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden.

Because he is lovingly devoted to Me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he knows My name.

What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

I thirst for God, the living God. When can I come and appear before God?

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.

But as for me, Lord, my prayer to You is for a time of favor. In Your abundant, faithful love, God, answer me with Your sure salvation.

Lord, Your faithful love reaches to heaven, Your faithfulness to the clouds.Your righteousness is like the highest mountains; Your judgments, like the deepest sea. Lord, You preserve man and beast.

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Commit your activities to the Lord, and your plans will be achieved.

Give thanks to the God of gods. His love is eternal.

for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, since the same Lord of all is rich to all who call on Him.

Even before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear.

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a good word cheers it up.

But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them shout for joy forever. May You shelter them, and may those who love Your name boast about You.
