Prayer, as the Bible teaches us, is about seeking God's favor, crying out to Him, humbling ourselves, and kneeling before the Father. Scripture gives us so many examples of prayer, but I want to share one that's really stuck with me: the prayer of Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. He asks for such powerful things: "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Oh, that your hand would be with me and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain!" And God granted his request.
It's so important to keep praying. Prayer has the power to transform and change our lives, even canceling out any curse spoken against us in Jesus' name. The key is to believe in Him, be consistent, strive each day to see His will in our lives, and never give up.
Nothing is impossible for God. He's all-powerful and has the strength to do what we can't. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person has great power, and for those who believe, all things are possible.
