It is surely true that I find my rest in God. He is the God who saves me.Don’t trust in money you have taken from others. Don’t put false hope in things you have stolen. Even if your riches grow, don’t put your trust in them.God, I have heard you say two things. One is that power belongs to you, God.The other is that your love, Lord, never ends. You will reward everyone in keeping with what they have done.It is surely true that he is my rock. He is the God who saves me. He is like a fort to me. I will always be secure.

The thoughts of a person ruled by sin bring death. But the mind ruled by the Spirit brings life and peace.

When you lie down, you won’t be afraid. When you lie down, you will sleep soundly.

I looked to the Lord, and he answered me. He saved me from everything I was afraid of.

But those who trust in the Lord will receive new strength. They will fly as high as eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not grow weak.

The Lord replied, “I will go with you. And I will give you rest.”

May the Lord who gives peace give you peace at all times and in every way. May the Lord be with all of you.

Doing what is right will bring peace and rest. When my people do that, they will stay calm and trust in the Lord forever.

May the God who gives hope fill you with great joy. May you have perfect peace as you trust in him. May the power of the Holy Spirit fill you with hope.

Be still and wait patiently for the Lord to act. Don’t be upset when other people succeed. Don’t be upset when they carry out their evil plans.

The Lord is my light, and he saves me. Why should I fear anyone? The Lord is my place of safety. Why should I be afraid?

If possible, live in peace with everyone. Do that as much as you can.

Blessed are those who make peace. They will be called children of God.

“Little flock, do not be afraid. Your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

Try your best to live in peace with everyone. Try hard to be holy. Without holiness no one will see the Lord.

I will listen to what God the Lord says. He promises peace to his faithful people. But they must not turn to foolish ways.

I am absolutely sure that not even death or life can separate us from God’s love. Not even angels or demons, the present or the future, or any powers can separate us.Not even the highest places or the lowest, or anything else in all creation can separate us. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the person who goes to him for safety.

God began a good work in you. And I am sure that he will carry it on until it is completed. That will be on the day Christ Jesus returns.

Know that the Lord is God. He made us, and we belong to him. We are his people. We are the sheep belonging to his flock.

A father is tender and kind to his children. In the same way, the Lord is tender and kind to those who have respect for him.He knows what we are made of. He remembers that we are dust.

Here is what we can be sure of when we come to God in prayer. If we ask anything in keeping with what he wants, he hears us.If we know that God hears what we ask for, we know that we have it.

Those who love your law enjoy great peace. Nothing can make them trip and fall.

The Lord makes secure the footsteps of the person who delights in him,Even if that person trips, he won’t fall. The Lord’s hand takes good care of him.

The Lord says to his people, “I comfort you because of who I am. Why are you afraid of mere human beings? They are like grass that dries up.

When I was in great trouble, I cried out to the Lord. He answered me and set me free from my trouble.The Lord is with me. I will not be afraid. What can mere human beings do to me?

Give praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! He is the Father who gives tender love. All comfort comes from him.He comforts us in all our troubles. Now we can comfort others when they are in trouble. We ourselves receive comfort from God.

Poor people have come to you for safety. You have kept needy people safe when they were in trouble. You have been a place to hide when storms came. You have been a shade from the heat of the sun. Evil people attack us. They are like a storm beating against a wall.

God gave us his Spirit. And the Spirit doesn’t make us weak and fearful. Instead, the Spirit gives us power and love. He helps us control ourselves.

God’s kingdom is not about eating or drinking. It is about doing what is right and having peace and joy. All this comes through the Holy Spirit.

My body and my heart may grow weak. God, you give strength to my heart. You are everything I will ever need.

I will sweep your sins away as if they were a cloud. I will blow them away as if they were the morning mist. Return to me. Then I will set you free.”

Our hope is certain. It is something for the soul to hold on to. It is strong and secure. It goes all the way into the Most Holy Room behind the curtain.

How priceless your faithful love is! People find safety in the shadow of your wings.They eat well because there is more than enough in your house. You let them drink from your river that flows with good things.

I can do all this by the power of Christ. He gives me strength.

The Lord is ready to help all those who call out to him. He helps those who really mean it when they call out to him.

Lord, you give us peace. You are the one who has done everything we’ve accomplished.

And how can anyone preach without being sent? It is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (Isaiah 52:7)

All of that will happen because our God is tender and caring. His kindness will bring the rising sun to us from heaven.It will shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death. It will guide our feet on the path of peace.”

Be on your guard. Remain strong in the faith. Be brave.Be loving in everything you do.

Finally, let the Lord make you strong. Depend on his mighty power.Put on all of God’s armor. Then you can remain strong against the devil’s evil plans.

But the Lord is faithful. He will strengthen you. He will guard you from the evil one.

If you are afraid of people, it will trap you. But if you trust in the Lord, he will keep you safe.

They aren’t afraid when bad news comes. They stand firm because they trust in the Lord.

“My people, you will go out of Babylon with joy. You will be led out of it in peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song as you go. And all the trees in the fields will clap their hands.

What we are suffering now is nothing compared with our future glory.

We live by believing, not by seeing.

But those who are free of pride will be given the land. They will enjoy peace and success.

God is able to do far more than we could ever ask for or imagine. He does everything by his power that is working in us.Give him glory in the church and in Christ Jesus. Give him glory through all time and for ever and ever. Amen.

God’s way is perfect. The Lord’s word doesn’t have any flaws. He is like a shield to all who go to him for safety.

And do everything you can to live a quiet life. You should mind your own business. And work with your hands, just as we told you to.

Lord, you are like a shield that keeps me safe. You bring me honor. You help me win the battle.

Blessed are those who are sad. They will be comforted.

That’s the hope we had when we were saved. But hope that can be seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?We hope for what we don’t have yet. So we are patient as we wait for it.

The Lord gives sight to those who are blind. The Lord lifts up those who feel helpless. The Lord loves those who do what is right.

But let all those who go to you for safety be glad. Let them always sing for joy. Spread your cover over them and keep them safe. Then those who love you will be glad because of you.

There will be no limit to how great his authority is. The peace he brings will never end. He will rule on David’s throne and over his kingdom. He will make the kingdom strong and secure. His rule will be based on what is fair and right. It will last forever. The Lord’s great love will make sure that happens. He rules over all.

I will always guide you. I will satisfy your needs in a land baked by the sun. I will make you stronger. You will be like a garden that has plenty of water. You will be like a spring whose water never runs dry.

The Lord God is like the sun that gives us light. He is like a shield that keeps us safe. The Lord blesses us with favor and honor. He doesn’t hold back anything good from those whose lives are without blame.
