Come unto me, all you who labor and bear heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest for your souls.For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters.He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is sustained on you: because he trusts in you.
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Cast your burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain you: he shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
There remains therefore a rest to the people of God.For he that has entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Therefore I say to you, Do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than food, and the body more than clothing?Look at the birds of the air: for they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they?Which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his height?
These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Truly my soul waits for God: from him comes my salvation.He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.
When you lie down, you shall not be afraid: yea, you shall lie down, and your sleep shall be sweet.
But those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked plans to pass.
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Fear not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yea, I will help you; yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and you would not.
I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
When I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the night watches.Because you have been my help, therefore in the shadow of your wings will I rejoice.
He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Let your conduct be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you,
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation.
Those things which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence comes my help.My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you.
Those who trust in the LORD shall be like mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but remains for ever.
Our soul waits for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:And I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you are called in one body; and be thankful.
Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned from his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: continue in my love.If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose.
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
And my people shall dwell in a peaceful habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
Deceit is in the heart of those who imagine evil: but to the counselors of peace is joy.
Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O LORD, and teach him out of your law;That you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be dug for the wicked.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace to his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, says the LORD who has mercy on you.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and do not rely on your own understanding.In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear brings torment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.
Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he turned to me, and heard my cry.He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
Say to those who are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.
And the LORD, he it is that goes before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you, neither forsake you: fear not, neither be dismayed.
As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
He shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings shall you trust: his truth shall be your shield and buckler.You shall not be afraid of the terror by night; nor of the arrow that flies by day;
And may the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.Faithful is he that calls you, who also will do it.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,Nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bore them, and carried them all the days of old.
For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry out, Abba, Father.
Then spoke Jesus again to them, saying, I am the light of the world: he who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from this time forth even for ever.
For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation between us;
Have you not known? have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding.He gives power to the faint; and to those who have no might he increases strength.
Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Know that the LORD he is God: it is he that has made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us:And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
O God, you are my God; early will I seek you: my soul thirsts for you, my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;To see your power and your glory, as I have seen you in the sanctuary.Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you.Thus will I bless you while I live: I will lift up my hands in your name.
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way.Though he falls, he shall not be completely thrown down: for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
I, even I, am he who comforts you: who are you, that you should be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made like grass;
I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do to me?
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
For you have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
For the kingdom of God is not food and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
My flesh and my heart fails: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: return to me; for I have redeemed you.
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters into that within the veil;
How excellent is your loving kindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of your wings.They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of your house; and you shall make them drink of the river of your pleasures.
And how shall they preach, unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Through the tender mercy of our God; by which the dayspring from on high has visited us,To give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Watch, stand fast in the faith, conduct yourselves like men, be strong.Let all that you do be done in love.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.And those who know your name will put their trust in you: for you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.
For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,To him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
But now thus says the LORD who created you, O Jacob, and he who formed you, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are mine.
For his anger endures but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
You, who have shown me great and evil troubles, shall revive me again, and shall bring me up again from the depths of the earth.You shall increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.
Now may the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded towards one another according to Christ Jesus:
He will not permit your foot to be moved: he that keeps you will not slumber.Behold, he that keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a shield to all those that trust in him.
And that you strive to be quiet, and to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for it?But if we hope for what we do not see, then do we wait for it with patience.
The LORD opens the eyes of the blind: the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down: the LORD loves the righteous:
Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given to you by Jesus Christ;
But Jesus beheld them, and said to them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall you suck, you shall be carried upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
Let all those that seek you rejoice and be glad in you: let those that love your salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
But godliness with contentment is great gain.For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
But let all those that put their trust in you rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them: let them also that love your name be joyful in you.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from this time forwards even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
For whatever things were written in former times were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.Fear not therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows.
And God is able to make every grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
And the LORD shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat your bones: and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters never fail.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
