Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. “Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Yahweh of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains shake into the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its lofty pride. Selah.
He who abides in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. No evil will befall you, And no plague will come near your tent. ¶For He will command His angels concerning you, To guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, Lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the fierce lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down. ¶“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will protect him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in his distress; I will rescue him and honor him. “With a long life I will satisfy him And I will show him My salvation.” I will say to Yahweh, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!”
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. and said to Him, “Are You the One who is to come, or shall we look for someone else?” For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will make you mighty, surely I will help you; Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
¶Cast your burden upon Yahweh and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.
¶Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Make sure that your way of life is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”
Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually give you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all!
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
Yahweh is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strong defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be in dread or be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.”
Surely my soul waits in silence for God; From Him is my salvation. Do not trust in oppression And do not put vain hope in robbery; If riches increase, do not set your heart upon them. ¶Once God has spoken; Twice I have heard this: That strength belongs to God; And that to You, O Lord, belongs lovingkindness, For You repay a man according to his work. Surely He is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you will take refuge; His truth is a large shield and bulwark. ¶You will not be afraid of terror by night, Or arrow that flies by day;
Yet those who hope in Yahweh Will gain new power; They will mount up with wings like eagles; They will run and not get tired; They will walk and not become weary.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not dread; For Yah—Yahweh Himself—is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”
“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
For You have been my help, And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy. My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.
“For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, And My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” Says Yahweh who has compassion on you.
Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will affliction, or turmoil, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written, “For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; We were counted as sheep for the slaughter.” But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
I have set Yahweh continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.
in every way afflicted, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;
Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? My help comes from Yahweh, Who made heaven and earth.
“Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Say to those with an anxious heart, “Be strong, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The recompense of God will come, But He will save you.”
You are my hiding place; You guard me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. ¶I will give you insight and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.
and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish—ever; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.
“For I am Yahweh your God, who strongly takes hold of your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’
For thus Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, has said, “In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your might.” But you were not willing,
And He *said to them, “Why are you so cowardly, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm.
And Yahweh is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
“Can a woman forget her infant And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. “Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.
For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
¶Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Wait for God, for I shall still praise Him, For the salvation of His presence.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is set securely on high.
Those who trust in Yahweh Are as Mount Zion, which will not be shaken but will abide forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So Yahweh surrounds His people From now until forever.
And the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of righteousness, quietness and security forever.
From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and confirmed and one which enters within the veil,
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the might of His strength. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
¶“I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of man who dies And of the son of man who is made like grass,
Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, For my soul takes refuge in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge Until destruction passes by. For Your lovingkindness is great to the heavens And Your truth to the skies. Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth. I will call to God Most High, To God who accomplishes all things for me.
And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.
I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
O Yahweh, be gracious to us; we have hoped in You. Be their strength every morning, Our salvation also in the time of distress.
“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?
Now may the God of perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,
Yahweh is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
For in the day of calamity He will conceal me in His shelter; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.
¶But let all who take refuge in You be glad, Let them ever sing for joy; And may You shelter them, That those who love Your name may exult in You.
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
So then let us pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.
“Your sun will no longer set, Nor will your moon wane; For you will have Yahweh for an everlasting light, And the days of your mourning will be finished.
I hoped earnestly for Yahweh; And He inclined to me and heard my cry for help. I do not conceal Your righteousness within my heart; I speak of Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I do not hide Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great assembly. ¶You, O Yahweh, will not withhold Your compassion from me; Your lovingkindness and Your truth will continually guard me. For evils beyond number have surrounded me; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see; They are more numerous than the hairs of my head, And my heart has failed me. ¶Be pleased, O Yahweh, to deliver me; Make haste, O Yahweh, to help me. Let those be ashamed and humiliated together Who seek my life to sweep it away; Let those be turned back and dishonored Who delight in evil against me. Let those be appalled because of their shame Who say to me, “Aha, aha!” Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, “Yahweh be magnified!” As for me, I am afflicted and needy, May the Lord think of me. You are my help and the One who rescues me; Do not delay, O my God. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a high rock, He established my steps.
But the lovingkindness of Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, To those who keep His covenant And remember His precepts to do them.
When you lie down, you will not be in dread; You will lie down, and your sleep will be pleasant.
Yah is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation. ¶The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of Yahweh does valiantly. The right hand of Yahweh is exalted; The right hand of Yahweh does valiantly.
For from ancient times they have not heard or given ear, Nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him.
If Your law had not been my delight, Then I would have perished in my affliction. I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have revived me.
In Him, you also, after listening to the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, unto the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
Who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that having died to sin, we might live to righteousness; by His wounds you were healed.
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and self-discipline.
In all their distress He was distressed, And the angel of His presence saved them; In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them, And He lifted them and carried them all the ancient days.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons by whom we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
I lay down and slept; I awoke, for Yahweh sustains me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who all around have set themselves against me.
But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their fear, and do not be troubled,
In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O Yahweh, make me to abide in safety.
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or understand, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will laud You. Thus I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.
The night is almost gone, and the day is at hand. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups one and broke down the dividing wall of the partition
“For you will go out with gladness And be led forth with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, laying aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our benefit, so that we may share His holiness. And all discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful, but to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed. Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord, seeing to it that no one falls short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled; that also there be no sexually immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. For you know that even afterwards, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears. For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched and to a blazing fire, and to darkness and gloom and whirlwind, and to the blast of a trumpet and the sound of words which was such that those who heard begged that no further word be spoken to them. fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
A glad heart makes a face look good, But when the heart is pained, the spirit is broken.
And my God will fulfill all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
But You, O Lord, are a God compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.
teaching them to keep all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
¶From my distress I called upon Yah; Yah answered me and set me in a large place. Yahweh is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?
For You have been a strong defense for the poor, A strong defense for the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of the ruthless Is like a rain storm against a wall.
Yahweh will accomplish what concerns me; O Yahweh, Your lovingkindness endures forever; Do not fail the works of Your hands.
“I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
And your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.
For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through the perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
that He would give you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being firmly rooted and grounded in love,
¶Make me know Your ways, O Yahweh; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; In You I hope all the day.
“As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; And you will be comforted in Jerusalem.”
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.
¶The footsteps of a man are established by Yahweh, And He delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, Because Yahweh is the One who sustains his hand.
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, who also will do it.
¶Surely wait in silence for God, O my soul, For my hope is from Him. Surely He is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.
¶Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Brothers, I do not consider myself as having laid hold of it yet, but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
It is a trustworthy saying and deserving full acceptance: that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost. Yet for this reason I was shown mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Christ Jesus might demonstrate all His patience as an example for those who are going to believe upon Him for eternal life.
Strengthen limp hands, and give courage to the knees of the stumbling. Say to those with an anxious heart, “Be strong, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The recompense of God will come, But He will save you.”
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand. With Your counsel You will lead me, And afterward take me in glory. ¶Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart fail, But God is the rock of my heart and my portion forever.
And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, strengthen, confirm, and ground you.
