“Be still, and know that I am God. I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth!”

For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” And you would not,

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.and said to him, “Are you he who is to come, or shall we look for another?”For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.Put no confidence in extortion, set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them.Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God;and that to thee, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For thou dost requite a man according to his work.He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly moved.

The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust for ever.My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over him who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be still.”

In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for thou alone, O Lord, makest me dwell in safety.

Thou dost keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusts in thee.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

he makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a child quieted at its mother's breast; like a child that is quieted is my soul.

And he said, “Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake;and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, who abides in the shadow of the Almighty,

but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent, he will set me high upon a rock.

If you sit down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

when I think of thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the watches of the night;

fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you.

Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a lonely place, and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.

But he withdrew to the wilderness and prayed.

“Teach me, and I will be silent; make me understand how I have erred.

Great peace have those who love thy law; nothing can make them stumble.

“For you shall go out in joy, and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

Make me to know thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.Lead me in thy truth, and teach me, for thou art the God of my salvation; for thee I wait all the day long.

You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart,

I will meditate on thy precepts, and fix my eyes on thy ways.They draw near who persecute me with evil purpose; they are far from thy law.But thou art near, O Lord, and all thy commandments are true.Long have I known from thy testimonies that thou hast founded them for ever.Look on my affliction and deliver me, for I do not forget thy law.Plead my cause and redeem me; give me life according to thy promise!Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek thy statutes.Great is thy mercy, O Lord; give me life according to thy justice.Many are my persecutors and my adversaries, but I do not swerve from thy testimonies.I look at the faithless with disgust, because they do not keep thy commands.Consider how I love thy precepts! Preserve my life according to thy steadfast love.I will delight in thy statutes; I will not forget thy word.

The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him that is weary. Morning by morning he wakens, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. “Be still, and know that I am God. I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth!”The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. SelahTherefore we will not fear though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.

Thou art my hiding place and my shield; I hope in thy word.

For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

he made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.Then they were glad because they had quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

For he is our peace, who has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility,

May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, “I will never fail you nor forsake you.”Hence we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid; what can man do to me?”

When a man's ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

If possible, so far as it depends upon you, live peaceably with all.

Thou art a hiding place for me, thou preservest me from trouble; thou dost encompass me with deliverance. Selah

O Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us, thou hast wrought for us all our works.

Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints, to those who turn to him in their hearts.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed is the man whom thou dost chasten, O Lord, and whom thou dost teach out of thy lawto give him respite from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked.

he enters into peace; they rest in their beds who walk in their uprightness.

for length of days and years of life and abundant welfare will they give you.

And I say, “O that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest;

Say to those who are of a fearful heart, “Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.”

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

from the end of the earth I call to thee, when my heart is faint. Lead thou me to the rock that is higher than I;for thou art my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.Let me dwell in thy tent for ever! Oh to be safe under the shelter of thy wings! Selah

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.

For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”

This is my comfort in my affliction that thy promise gives me life.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.

I have said this to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

When the cares of my heart are many, thy consolations cheer my soul.

When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

For the Lord will comfort Zion; he will comfort all her waste places, and will make her wilderness like Eden, her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the voice of song.

Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.Behold, the Lord God comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arms, he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or as his counselor has instructed him?Whom did he consult for his enlightenment, and who taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are accounted as the dust on the scales; behold, he takes up the isles like fine dust.Lebanon would not suffice for fuel, nor are its beasts enough for a burnt offering.All the nations are as nothing before him, they are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness.To whom then will you liken God, or what likeness compare with him?The idol! a workman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold, and casts for it silver chains.Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord's hand double for all her sins.

Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.For you have need of endurance, so that you may do the will of God and receive what is promised.

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father's will.Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Let thy steadfast love be ready to comfort me according to thy promise to thy servant.

A tranquil mind gives life to the flesh, but passion makes the bones rot.

For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

When I thought, “My foot slips,” thy steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.When the cares of my heart are many, thy consolations cheer my soul.

For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I will help you.”

It is the Lord who goes before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you or forsake you; do not fear or be dismayed.”

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever.

What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us?

I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the Lord sustains me.

will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”

As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord has comforted his people, and will have compassion on his afflicted.

teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.”

And I am sure that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I will help you, says the Lord; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will do right and entrust their souls to a faithful Creator.

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your desire with good things, and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Trouble and anguish have come upon me, but thy commandments are my delight.

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

This God—his way is perfect; the promise of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

for God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control.

Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer;from the end of the earth I call to thee, when my heart is faint. Lead thou me to the rock that is higher than I;

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.
