For the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said: ‘You will be delivered by returning and resting; your strength will lie in quiet confidence. But you are not willing.’

‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,   because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.and asked him, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else? ’ For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.’

The Lord is good to those who wait  for him, to the person who seeks him.It is good to wait quietly for salvation from the  Lord.

The result of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quiet confidence for ever.Then my people will dwell in a peaceful place, in safe and secure dwellings.

The Lord will fight for you, and you must be quiet.’

You will keep the mind that is dependent on you in perfect peace, for it is trusting in you.

‘Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.And the peace of God, which surpasses  all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Then he said, ‘Go out and stand on the mountain in the Lord’s presence.’ At that moment, the Lord passed by.  A great and mighty wind  was tearing at the mountains and was shattering cliffs before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake,  but the Lord was not in the earthquake.After the earthquake there was a fire,  but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was a voice, a soft whisper.

but those who trust in the  Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not faint.

When you lie  down, you will not be afraid; you will lie down, and your sleep will be pleasant.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.

He said to them, ‘Come away by yourselves to a remote place and rest for a while.’ For many people were coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.

Teach me, and I will be silent. Help me understand what I did wrong.

You will indeed go out with joy and be peacefully guided; the mountains and the hills will break into singing before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Now the mindset of the flesh  is death,  but the mindset of the Spirit is life and peace.

You will seek me  and find me when you search for me with all your heart.

The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are instructed to know how to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens me each morning; he awakens my ear to listen like those being instructed.

The name of the  Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are protected.  ,

since God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,

Indeed, God is my salvation; I will trust him and not be afraid, for the Lord, the  Lord  himself, is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation.’

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe,  so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

For he is our peace, who made both groups one  and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In his flesh,

May the Lord of peace  himself give you peace always in every way.  The Lord be with all of you.

Finally  brothers and sisters, whatever is true,  whatever is honourable,  whatever is just,  whatever is pure,  whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable #– #if there is any moral excellence  and if there is anything praiseworthy #– #dwell on these things.

Keep your life free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for he himself has said, I will never leave you or abandon you.   ,Therefore, we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?   ,

When a person’s ways please the  Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Lord, you will establish peace for us, for you have also done all our work for us.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

He will enter into peace – they will rest on their beds   – everyone who lives uprightly.

for they will bring you many days, a full life,  , and well-being.

Say to the cowardly: ‘Be strong; do not fear! Here is your God; vengeance is coming. God’s retribution is coming; he will save you.’

He gives strength to the faint and strengthens the powerless.

for I satisfy the thirsty person and feed all those who are weak.’

Blessed be  the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies  and the God of all comfort.He comforts us in all our affliction,  so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.’

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you.

For the Lord will comfort Zion; he will comfort all her waste places, and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the  Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and melodious song.

‘Comfort, comfort my people,’ says your God.See, the Lord God comes with strength, and his power establishes his rule. His wages are with him, and his reward accompanies him.He protects his flock like a shepherd; he gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them in the fold of his garment. He gently leads those that are nursing.Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand or marked off the heavens with the span of his hand? Who has gathered the dust of the earth in a measure or weighed the mountains on a balance and the hills on the scales?Who has instructed  the Spirit of the  Lord, or who gave him counsel? Whom did he consult? Who gave him understanding and taught him the paths of justice? Who taught him knowledge and showed him the way of understanding?Look, the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are considered as a speck of dust on the scales; he lifts up the islands like fine dust.Lebanon’s cedars are not enough for fuel, or its animals enough for a burnt offering. All the nations are as nothing before him; they are considered by him as empty nothingness. With whom will you compare God? What likeness will you set up for comparison with him? An idol? #– #something that a smelter casts and a metalworker plates with gold and makes silver chains for? ‘Speak tenderly to   Jerusalem, and announce to her that her time of hard service is over, her iniquity  has been pardoned, and she has received from the  Lord’s hand double for all her sins.’

So don’t throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.For you need endurance, so that after you have done God’s will, you may receive what was promised.

Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny?   Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s   consent.Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;But even the hairs of your head have all been counted.So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

You will joyfully draw water from the springs of salvation,

A tranquil heart is life to the body, but jealousy is rottenness to the bones.

Though the mountains move and the hills shake, my love will not be removed from you and my covenant of peace  will not be shaken,’ says your compassionate Lord.

For I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand, who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.

The Lord is the one who will go before you.  He will be with you; he will not leave you or abandon you.  Do not be afraid or discouraged.’

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and for ever.

What, then, are we to say about these things?  If God is for us, who is against us?

As a mother comforts her son, so I will comfort you, and you will be comforted in Jerusalem.

Shout for joy, you heavens! Earth, rejoice! Mountains, break into joyful shouts! For the Lord has comforted his people, and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.

I am sure of this, that he who started a good work  in you  will carry it on to completion  until the day of Christ Jesus.

Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men  of Israel. I will help you’ – this is the  Lord’s declaration. Your Redeemer  is the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith,  we have peace  with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

So then, let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust themselves  to a faithful Creator while doing what is good.

No temptation has come upon you except what is common to humanity. But God is faithful;  he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation he will also provide the way out  so that you may be able to bear it.

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;we are persecuted, but not abandoned; we are struck down, but not destroyed.

Rejoice in hope;  be patient in affliction;  be persistent in prayer.

The Lord will always lead you, satisfy you in a parched land, and strengthen your bones. You will be like a watered garden and like a spring whose water never runs dry.

I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly  call in Christ Jesus.

God #– #his way is perfect; the word of the  Lord is pure. He is a shield to all who take refuge in him.

Now may the God who gives  endurance and encouragement  grant you to live in harmony with one another,  according to Christ Jesus,

Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, since he who promised is faithful.

Yes, Lord, we wait for you in the path of your judgements. Our desire is for your name and renown. I long for you in the night; yes, my spirit within me diligently seeks you, for when your judgements are in the land, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

For it is God who is working in you both to will and to work according to his good purpose.

Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life.

Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified   in the Son.If you ask me   anything in my name,   I will do it.   ,

keeping our eyes on Jesus,  the pioneer and perfecter  of our faith. For the joy that lay before him,  he endured the cross, despising the shame,  and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

‘Ask,   and it will be given to you.   Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door   will be opened to you.

Every valley will be lifted up, and every mountain and hill will be levelled; the uneven ground will become smooth and the rough places, a plain. And the glory of the  Lord will appear, and all humanity  together will see it, for the mouth of the  Lord has spoken.

Don’t be afraid,   little flock,   because your Father delights   to give you the kingdom.

And not only that,  but we also boast in our afflictions,  because we know that affliction produces endurance,endurance produces proven character,  and proven character produces hope.

But seek first the kingdom of God   , and his righteousness,   and all these things will be provided for you.

and whenever you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you: ‘This is the way. Walk in it.’

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you  to present your bodies as a living sacrifice,  holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship.Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters.  Take the lead in honouring one another.Do not lack diligence in zeal; be fervent in the Spirit;  , serve the Lord.Rejoice in hope;  be patient in affliction;  be persistent in prayer.Share with the saints in their needs;  pursue hospitality.Bless those who persecute you;  bless and do not curse.Rejoice with those who rejoice;  weep with those who weep.Live in harmony with one another.  Do not be proud;  instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation.Do not repay anyone evil for evil.  Give careful thought to do what is honourable  in everyone’s eyes.If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.Friends, do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for God’s wrath, because it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay,   , says the Lord.Do not be conformed  to this age,  but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,  so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will  of God.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear,  but one of power,  , love,  and sound judgement.

Isn’t this the fast I choose: To break the chains of wickedness, to untie the ropes of the yoke, to set the oppressed free, and to tear off every yoke?

Little children, let us not love in word or speech, but in action and in truth. This is how we will know that we belong to the truth  and will reassure our hearts before him

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors  through him who loved us.For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,  nor angels nor rulers,  nor things present nor things to come,  nor powers,nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God  that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

‘You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden.No one lights a lamp   and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house.In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
