Be still, and know that I am God:\par\tab I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

For thus said the Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. And ye would not:

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and {\b ye shall find rest unto your souls.}For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.}\par

Jehovah is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Jehovah.

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence for ever.And my people shall abide in a peaceable habitation, and in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places.

Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him:\par\tab Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,\par\tab Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Jehovah will fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

In peace will I both lay me down and sleep;\par\tab For thou, Jehovah, alone makest me dwell in safety.\par

Thou wilt keep {\i him} in perfect peace, {\i whose} mind {\i is} stayed {\i on thee}; because he trusteth in thee.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.\par

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;\par\tab He leadeth me beside still waters.He restoreth my soul:\par\tab He guideth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul;\par\tab Like a weaned child with his mother,\par\tab Like a weaned child is my soul within me.

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before Jehovah. And, behold, Jehovah passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before Jehovah; but Jehovah was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but Jehovah was not in the earthquake:and after the earthquake a fire; but Jehovah was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High\par\tab Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.\par

One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after:\par\tab That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life,\par\tab To behold the beauty of Jehovah,\par\tab And to inquire in his temple.For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion:\par\tab In the covert of his tabernacle will he hide me;\par\tab He will lift me up upon a rock.

When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid:\par\tab Yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

When I remember thee upon my bed,\par\tab {\i And} meditate on thee in the night-watches.

fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you.

Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee:\par\tab He will never suffer the righteous to be moved.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thine inner chamber, and having shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret, and thy Father who seeth in secret shall recompense thee.

And he saith unto them, {\cf6 Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while.} For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

But he withdrew himself in the deserts, and prayed.\par

Teach me, and I will hold my peace;\par\tab And cause me to understand wherein I have erred.

Great peace have they that love thy law;\par\tab And they have no occasion of stumbling.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands.

For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:

Show me thy ways, O Jehovah;\par\tab Teach me thy paths.Guide me in thy truth, and teach me;\par\tab For thou art the God of my salvation;\par\tab For thee do I wait all the day.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

There remaineth therefore a sabbath rest for the people of God.For he that is entered into his rest hath himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.

I will meditate on thy precepts,\par\tab And have respect unto thy ways.I will delight myself in thy statutes:\par\tab I will not forget thy word.\par

The Lord Jehovah hath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught.

The name of Jehovah is a strong tower;\par\tab The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Thou art my hiding-place and my shield:\par\tab I hope in thy word.

for God is not {\i a God} of confusion, but of peace.\par\par\tab As in all the churches of the saints,

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Jehovah, {\i even} Jehovah, is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation.

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.\par

He maketh the storm a calm,\par\tab So that the waves thereof are still.Then are they glad because they are quiet;\par\tab So he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

Depart from evil, and do good;\par\tab Seek peace, and pursue it.

For he is our peace, who made both one, and brake down the middle wall of partition,

Jehovah will give strength unto his people;\par\tab Jehovah will bless his people with peace.\par

Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.\par

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, {\b I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.}So that with good courage we say,\par\tab {\b The Lord is my helper; I will not fear:\par\tab What shall man do unto me?}\par

When a man's ways please Jehovah,\par\tab He maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men.

Jehovah, thou wilt ordain peace for us; for thou hast also wrought all our works for us.

I will hear what God Jehovah will speak;\par\tab For he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints:\par\tab But let them not turn again to folly.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jehovah,\par\tab And teachest out of thy law;That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity,\par\tab Until the pit be digged for the wicked.

He entereth into peace; they rest in their beds, each one that walketh in his uprightness.\par

For length of days, and years of life,\par\tab And peace, will they add to thee.

And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove!\par\tab Then would I fly away, and be at rest.

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come {\i with} vengeance, {\i with} the recompense of God; he will come and save you.\par

{\i The righteous} cried, and Jehovah heard,\par\tab And delivered them out of all their troubles.

From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed:\par\tab Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.For thou hast been a refuge for me,\par\tab A strong tower from the enemy.I will dwell in thy tabernacle for ever:\par\tab I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. {\i Selah

He giveth power to the faint; and to him that hath no might he increaseth strength.

For I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful soul have I replenished.

This is my comfort in my affliction;\par\tab For thy word hath quickened me.

Blessed {\i be} the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort;who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

He healeth the broken in heart,\par\tab And bindeth up their wounds.

These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.}\par

In the multitude of my thoughts within me\par\tab Thy comforts delight my soul.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,\par\tab I will fear no evil; for thou art with me;\par\tab Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

For Jehovah hath comforted Zion; he hath comforted all her waste places, and hath made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Jehovah; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.\par

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem; and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she hath received of Jehovah's hand double for all her sins.\par

Jehovah also will be a high tower for the oppressed,\par\tab A high tower in times of trouble;And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee;\par\tab For thou, Jehovah, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Cast not away therefore your boldness, which hath great recompense of reward.For ye have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father:but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

I sought Jehovah, and he answered me,\par\tab And delivered me from all my fears.

Let, I pray thee, thy lovingkindness be for my comfort,\par\tab According to thy word unto thy servant.

A tranquil heart is the life of the flesh;\par\tab But envy is the rottenness of the bones.

For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my lovingkindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, saith Jehovah that hath mercy on thee.

When I said, My foot slippeth;\par\tab Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, held me up.In the multitude of my thoughts within me\par\tab Thy comforts delight my soul.

For I, Jehovah thy God, will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

And Jehovah, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Jesus Christ {\i is} the same yesterday and to-day, (yea) and for ever.

What then shall we say to these things? If God {\i is} for us, who {\i is} against us?

I laid me down and slept;\par\tab I awaked; for Jehovah sustaineth me.

I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress;\par\tab My God, in whom I trust.

As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for Jehovah hath comforted his people, and will have compassion upon his afflicted.\par

teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.}\par

being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not affrighted, neither be thou dismayed: for Jehovah thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith Jehovah, and thy Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator.\par

There hath no temptation taken you but such as man can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that ye may be able to endure it.\par

{\i we are} pressed on every side, yet not straitened; perplexed, yet not unto despair;pursued, yet not forsaken; smitten down, yet not destroyed;

What time I am afraid, I will put my trust in thee.

rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in prayer;

Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;\par\tab My God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge;\par\tab My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

My soul, wait thou in silence for God only;\par\tab For my expectation is from him.He only is my rock and my salvation:\par\tab {\i He is} my high tower;\par\tab I shall not be moved.

and Jehovah will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in dry places, and make strong thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Jehovah of hosts is with us;\par\tab The God of Jacob is our refuge. {\i Selah\par

Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me;\par\tab {\i Yet} thy commandments are my delight.

I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

As for God, his way is perfect: The word of Jehovah is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in him.

Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus:

let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised:

A man's goings are established of Jehovah;\par\tab And he delighteth in his way.Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;\par\tab For Jehovah upholdeth him with his hand.

Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah, have we waited for thee; to thy name, even to thy memorial {\i name}, is the desire of our soul.With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee earnestly: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

for it is God who worketh in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.

The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul:\par\tab The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple.The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart:\par\tab The commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes.

I have set Jehovah always before me:\par\tab Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

But Jehovah hath been my high tower,\par\tab And my God the rock of my refuge.

Keep thy heart with all diligence;\par\tab For out of it are the issues of life.

The meek will he guide in justice;\par\tab And the meek will he teach his way.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.If ye shall ask anything in my name, that will I do.

Jehovah appeared of old unto me, {\i saying}, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.\par

Jehovah is nigh unto all them that call upon him,\par\tab To all that call upon him in truth.He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him;\par\tab He also will hear their cry and will save them.

Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid.Neither do {\i men} light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the stand; and it shineth unto all that are in the house.Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.\par
