Lord, you will give perfect peace to those who commit themselves to be faithful to you. That’s because they trust in you.

Turn all your worries over to him. He cares about you.

Whoever rests in the shadow of the Most High God will be kept safe by the Mighty One.Then no harm will come to you. No terrible plague will come near your tent.The Lord will command his angels to take good care of you.They will lift you up in their hands. Doing what is right will bring peace and rest. When my people do that, they will stay calm and trust in the Lord forever.They will live in a peaceful land. Their homes will be secure. They will enjoy peace and quiet.

I leave my peace with you. I give my peace to you. I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be troubled. And do not be afraid.

Be still and wait patiently for the Lord to act. Don’t be upset when other people succeed. Don’t be upset when they carry out their evil plans.

Turn your worries over to the Lord. He will keep you going. He will never let godly people be shaken.

But those who trust in the Lord will receive new strength. They will fly as high as eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not grow weak.

So don’t worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

It is surely true that I find my rest in God. He is the God who saves me.Don’t trust in money you have taken from others. Don’t put false hope in things you have stolen. Even if your riches grow, don’t put your trust in them.God, I have heard you say two things. One is that power belongs to you, God.The other is that your love, Lord, never ends. You will reward everyone in keeping with what they have done.It is surely true that he is my rock. He is the God who saves me. He is like a fort to me. I will always be secure.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding.In all your ways obey him. Then he will make your paths smooth and straight.

I said to myself, “Be calm. The Lord has been good to me.”

The Lord and King is the Holy One of Israel. He says, “You will find peace and rest when you turn away from your sins and depend on me. You will receive the strength you need when you stay calm and trust in me. But you do not want to do what I tell you to.

Taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the person who goes to him for safety.

Wait for the Lord. Be strong and don’t lose hope. Wait for the Lord.

I was very worried. But your comfort brought me joy.

You are my place of safety. You are like a shield that keeps me safe. I have put my hope in your word.

The thoughts of a person ruled by sin bring death. But the mind ruled by the Spirit brings life and peace.

Commit your life to the Lord. Here is what he will do if you trust in him.

I keep my eyes always on the Lord. He is at my right hand. So I will always be secure.

Having respect for the Lord leads to life. Then you will be content and free from trouble.

Commit to the Lord everything you do. Then he will make your plans succeed.

When you hope, be joyful. When you suffer, be patient. When you pray, be faithful.

His anger lasts for only a moment. But his favor lasts for a person’s whole life. Weeping can stay for the night. But joy comes in the morning.

Lord, you give us peace. You are the one who has done everything we’ve accomplished.

Try your best to live in peace with everyone. Try hard to be holy. Without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Take good care of me, just as you would take care of your own eyes. Hide me in the shadow of your wings.

Those the Lord has saved will return to their land. They will sing as they enter the city of Zion. Joy that lasts forever will be like beautiful crowns on their heads. They will be filled with gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing will be gone.

He made the storm as quiet as a whisper. The waves of the ocean calmed down.He brought them back from other lands. He brought them back from east and west, from north and south.The people were glad when the ocean became calm. Then he guided them to the harbor they were looking for.

Here is what we can be sure of when we come to God in prayer. If we ask anything in keeping with what he wants, he hears us.If we know that God hears what we ask for, we know that we have it.

God, create a pure heart in me. Give me a new spirit that is faithful to you.

So let us boldly approach God’s throne of grace. Then we will receive mercy. We will find grace to help us when we need it.

The Spirit of the Lord and King is on me. The Lord has anointed me to announce good news to poor people. He has sent me to comfort those whose hearts have been broken. He has sent me to announce freedom for those who have been captured. He wants me to set prisoners free from their dark cells.The people of Jerusalem will say, “We take great delight in the Lord. We are like a bride who decorates herself with her jewels.The soil makes the young plant come up. A garden causes seeds to grow. In the same way, the Lord and King will make godliness grow. Our God has sent me to comfort all those who are sad.He wants me to help those in Zion who are filled with sorrow. I will put beautiful crowns on their heads in place of ashes. I will anoint them with olive oil to give them joy instead of sorrow. I will give them a spirit of praise in place of a spirit of sadness. They will be like oak trees that are strong and straight. The Lord himself will plant them in the land. That will show how glorious he is.

When I’m in trouble, he will keep me safe in his house. He will hide me in the safety of his holy tent. He will put me on a rock that is very high.

When you lie down, you won’t be afraid. When you lie down, you will sleep soundly.

The Spirit you received doesn’t make you slaves. Otherwise you would live in fear again. Instead, the Holy Spirit you received made you God’s adopted child. By the Spirit’s power we call God Abba. Abba means Father.

Our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father loved us. By his grace God gave us comfort that will last forever. The hope he gave us is good. May our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Fathercomfort your hearts. May they make you strong in every good thing you do and say.

The Lord is a place of safety for those who have been treated badly. He keeps them safe in times of trouble.

Our hope is certain. It is something for the soul to hold on to. It is strong and secure. It goes all the way into the Most Holy Room behind the curtain.

The mountains might shake. The hills might be removed. But my faithful love for you will never be shaken. And my covenant that promises peace to you will never be removed,” says the Lord. He shows you his loving concern.

“Little flock, do not be afraid. Your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

God began a good work in you. And I am sure that he will carry it on until it is completed. That will be on the day Christ Jesus returns.

A single day in your courtyards is better than a thousand anywhere else. I would rather guard the door of the house of my God than live in the tents of sinful people.

But let all those who go to you for safety be glad. Let them always sing for joy. Spread your cover over them and keep them safe. Then those who love you will be glad because of you.

He will be the firm foundation for their entire lives. He will give them all the wisdom, knowledge and saving power they will ever need. Respect for the Lord is the key to that treasure.

Doing what is right will bring peace and rest. When my people do that, they will stay calm and trust in the Lord forever.

God is working in you. He wants your plans and your acts to fulfill his good purpose.

The Spirit himself joins with our spirits. Together they tell us that we are God’s children.

Scripture says, “Suppose someone wants to love life and see good days. Then they must keep their tongues from speaking evil. They must keep their lips from telling lies.They must turn away from evil and do good. They must look for peace and go after it.

Our Lord Jesus is the great Shepherd of the sheep. The God who gives peace brought him back from the dead. He did it because of the blood of the eternal covenant. Now may Godsupply you with everything good. Then you can do what he wants. May he do in us what is pleasing to him. We can do it only with the help of Jesus Christ. Give him glory for ever and ever. Like the mountains around Jerusalem, the Lord is all around his people both now and forever.

Trust in him at all times, you people. Tell him all your troubles. God is our place of safety.

But Lord, you are a God who is tender and kind. You are gracious. You are slow to get angry. You are faithful and full of love.

When you sin, the pay you get is death. But God gives you the gift of eternal life. That’s because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done.

Open my eyes so that I can see the wonderful truths in your law.

Keeping this in mind, we never stop praying for you. Our God has chosen you. We pray that he will make you worthy of his choice. We pray he will make every good thing you want to do come true. We pray that he will do this by his power. We pray that he will make perfect all that you have done by faith.We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus will receive glory through what you have done. We also pray that you will receive glory through what he has done. We pray all these things in keeping with the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Have respect for the Lord and avoid evil.That will bring health to your body. It will make your bones strong.

He gives those who are thirsty all the water they want. He gives those who are hungry all the good food they can eat.

Family of Jacob, the Lord created you. People of Israel, he formed you. He says, “Do not be afraid. I will set you free. I will send for you by name. You belong to me.

We love because he loved us first.

Your love is better than life. So I will bring glory to you with my lips.I will praise you as long as I live. I will call on your name when I lift up my hands in prayer.

But we are citizens of heaven. And we can hardly wait for a Savior from there. He is the Lord Jesus Christ.He has the power to bring everything under his control. By his power he will change our earthly bodies. They will become like his glorious body.

God is faithful. He has chosen you to share life with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

If we live, we live to honor the Lord. If we die, we die to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

I am sure that your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life. And I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

Give praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us a new birth and a living hope. This hope is living because Jesus Christ rose from the dead.He has given us new birth so that we might share in what belongs to him. This is a gift that can never be destroyed. It can never spoil or even fade away. It is kept in heaven for you.Through faith you are kept safe by God’s power. Your salvation is going to be completed. It is ready to be shown to you in the last days.

Scripture says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Joel 2:32)

God is the God who gives peace. May he make you holy through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept free from blame. May you be without blame from now until our Lord Jesus Christ comes.The God who has chosen you is faithful. He will do all these things.

But you remain the same. Your years will never end.

God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.

Lord, show me your ways. Teach me how to follow you.Guide me in your truth. Teach me. You are God my Savior. I put my hope in you all day long.

I pray that he will use his glorious riches to make you strong. May his Holy Spirit give you his power deep down inside you.Then Christ will live in your hearts because you believe in him. And I pray that your love will have deep roots. I pray that it will have a strong foundation.May you have power together with all the Lord’s holy people to understand Christ’s love. May you know how wide and long and high and deep it is.And may you know his love, even though it can’t be known completely. Then you will be filled with everything God has for you.
