“Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted over the earth.”
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.to ask Him, “Are You the One who was to come, or should we look for someone else?”For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. no evil will befall you, no plague will approach your tent. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. They will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and cobra; you will trample the young lion and serpent.“Because he loves Me, I will deliver him; because he knows My name, I will protect him. When he calls out to Me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.”I will say to the Lord, “You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
The work of righteousness will be peace; the service of righteousness will be quiet confidence forever. Then my people will dwell in a peaceful place, in safe and secure places of rest.
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid.
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men prosper in their ways, when they carry out wicked schemes.
Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.
But those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.
In God alone my soul finds rest; my salvation comes from Him.Place no trust in extortion, or false hope in stolen goods. If your riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.God has spoken once; I have heard this twice: that power belongs to God,and loving devotion to You, O Lord. For You will repay each man according to his deeds. He alone is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress; I will never be shaken.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
For the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, has said: “By repentance and rest you would be saved; your strength would lie in quiet confidence— but you were not willing.”
I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.
I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him for the salvation of His presence.
O God, You are my God. Earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You. My body yearns for You in a dry and weary land without water.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
You will indeed go out with joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all His kind deeds—Bless the Lord, all His angels mighty in strength who carry out His word, who hearken to the voice of His command.Bless the Lord, all His hosts, you servants who do His will.Bless the Lord, all His works in all places of His dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul!He who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit and crowns you with loving devotion and compassion, who satisfies you with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful.
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your entire spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The fear of the Lord leads to life, that one may rest content, without visitation from harm.
For the Lord God is a sun and a shield; the Lord gives grace and glory; He withholds no good thing from those who walk with integrity.
The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— whom shall I dread?
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched; the flames will not set you ablaze.
For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has torn down the dividing wall of hostility
For You are my help; I will sing for joy in the shadow of Your wings. My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”
Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call out to You whenever my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the Lord sustains me.I will not fear the myriads set against me on every side.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love.
My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns.See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the way everlasting.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. For the Lord GOD is my strength and my song, and He also has become my salvation.”
And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in a dry land, like the shadow of a great rock in an arid land.
Because the Lord GOD helps Me, I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set My face like flint, and I know that I will not be put to shame.
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?Look at the birds of the air: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns—and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
How precious is Your loving devotion, O God, that the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings! They feast on the abundance of Your house, and You give them drink from Your river of delights.
“Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the son of her womb? Even if she could forget, I will not forget you!Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are ever before Me.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him.He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress; I will not be shaken.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart rejoices, and I give thanks to Him with my song.
I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.
For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and tells you: Do not fear, I will help you.
But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.He is like a tree planted by the waters that sends out its roots toward the stream. It does not fear when the heat comes, and its leaves are always green. It does not worry in a year of drought, nor does it cease to produce fruit.
Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!Let your gentleness be apparent to all. The Lord is near.
I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like a mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.
As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
Abundant peace belongs to those who love Your instruction; nothing can make them stumble.
For His anger is fleeting, but His favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping may stay the night, but joy comes in the morning.
O Lord, You will establish peace for us. For all that we have accomplished, You have done for us.
Pursue peace with everyone, as well as holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
So the redeemed of the Lord will return and enter Zion with singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee.
He calmed the storm to a whisper, and the waves of the sea were hushed. and gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south. They rejoiced in the silence, and He guided them to the harbor they desired.
And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him.
Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners, I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation and wrapped me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom wears a priestly headdress, as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the earth brings forth its growth, and as a garden enables seed to spring up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of our God’s vengeance, to comfort all who mourn,to console the mourners in Zion— to give them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and a garment of praise for a spirit of despair. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent; He will set me high upon a rock.
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who by grace has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good word and deed.
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,
Though the mountains may be removed and the hills may be shaken, My loving devotion will not depart from you, and My covenant of peace will not be broken,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
For better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them ever shout for joy. May You shelter them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.
He will be the sure foundation for your times, a storehouse of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.
The work of righteousness will be peace; the service of righteousness will be quiet confidence forever.
For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it.
Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with every good thing to do His will. And may He accomplish in us what is pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people, both now and forevermore.
Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day.For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal glory that is far beyond comparison. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is our refuge. Selah
But You, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion and faithfulness.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
To this end, we always pray for you, that our God will count you worthy of His calling, and that He will powerfully fulfill your every good desire and work of faith,so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil. This will bring healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.
Now this is what the Lord says— He who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine!
Because Your loving devotion is better than life, my lips will glorify You.So I will bless You as long as I live; in Your name I will lift my hands.
But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to subject all things to Himself, will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.
God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you,who through faith are shielded by God’s power for the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your entire spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; all day long I wait for You.
I ask that out of the riches of His glory He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Then you, being rooted and grounded in love, will have power, together with all the saints, to comprehend the length and width and height and depthof the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
