Think about giving – it's truly beautiful in God's eyes. When you're preparing your offering, remember it should be your best, given with a sincere heart. It should be a joyful act, knowing how much God has already blessed us with, even when we don't deserve it. He's been incredibly generous, hasn't He?
If you only give what's leftover, well, life might just mirror that back to you. Think about it – give as if you're giving to yourself. Don't do it out of obligation or because you expect something in return. True giving comes from the heart.
Don't make a big show of it either. It's not about getting praised or patted on the back. Let your giving be a quiet act between you and God. He sees what's in your heart, and He loves a cheerful giver. Remember what it says in 2 Corinthians 9:7: "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
Giving is an act of worship, a way to give back a portion of what God has already given us. And when God gives, He gives abundantly. When you offer from the heart, you're opening the door for even more blessings. The more you give, the more you receive. It's a beautiful cycle.
I set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass when I bring clouds over the earth, that the bow shall appear in the clouds;and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living soul of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed shall I give this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
¶ And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee and to thy seed after thee, the land in which thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting inheritance; and I will be their God.
Now therefore, if ye will give ear to hearken unto my voice and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a special treasure unto me above all peoples; for all the earth is mine. And ye shall be my kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the sons of Israel.
And he took the book of the covenant and read in the audience of the people, and they said, All that the Lord has said we will do, and we will hear. Then Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord has made with you concerning all these words.
Know, therefore, that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with those that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations
Not for thy righteousness or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou enter in to inherit their land; but for the wickedness of these Gentiles, the Lord thy God drives them out from before thee and that he may confirm the word which the Lord swore unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Thou shalt keep, therefore, the words of this covenant and do them that ye may understand all that ye do.
¶ See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;for I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his rights, that thou may live and be multiplied; and may the Lord thy God bless thee in the land into which thou dost enter to inherit it.
For the mountains shall be removed, and the hills shall tremble; but my mercy shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be changed, said the Lord that has mercy on thee.
For I the Lord love that which is right, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will confirm your work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
Behold, the days come, said the Lord, in which I will make a new covenant with the house of Jacob and with the house of Judah:not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt because they invalidated my covenant although I was a husband unto them, said the Lord; But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, said the Lord, I will give my law in their souls and write it in their hearts and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall no longer teach every man his neighbour and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord, for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, said the Lord, for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
And I will establish with them a covenant of peace and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my commandments, and ye shall keep my rights, and do them.
My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear with which he feared me and was broken before my name.
for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Likewise also he took and gave them the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
¶ but now a more excellent ministry is his, in that he is the mediator of a better testament, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place should have been sought for the second.
¶ And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, so that death intervening for the redemption of the rebellions that took place under the first testament, those who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
This is the testament that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will give my laws in their hearts, and in their souls will I write them;and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
¶ But the Lord had said unto Abram, Depart out of thy country and from thy nature and from thy father’s house unto a land that I will show thee;¶ And there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there, for the famine was grievous in the land. And it came to pass when he was come near to enter into Egypt that he said unto Sarai, his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon;therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee that they shall say, This is his wife, and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister, that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee.¶ And it came to pass that when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair. The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh, and the woman was taken into Pharaoh’s house. And he treated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep and oxen and he asses and menslaves and maidslaves and she asses and camels. But the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram’s wife. And Pharaoh called Abram and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? Why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife? Why didst thou say, She is my sister? I might have taken her to me to wife; now, therefore, behold thy wife, take her, and go away.and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing. Then Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him; and they sent him away and his wife with all that he had.And I will bless those that bless thee and curse those that curse thee, and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
¶ And when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me and be thou perfect. This shall be my covenant, which ye shall keep between me and you and thy seed after thee: Every male among you shall be circumcised. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall be a token of the covenant between me and you.And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male in your generations, he that is born in the house or bought with money of any stranger, who is not of thy seed.He that is born in thy house and he that is bought with thy money must needs be circumcised; and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. And the uncircumcised male whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has annulled my covenant.¶ And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.And I will bless her and give thee a son also of her; yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of Gentiles; kings of peoples shall be of her. Then Abraham fell upon his face and laughed and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him who is one hundred years old? and shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear? And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee! And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed, and thou shalt call his name Isaac (laughter); and I will confirm my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his seed after him.And I will make my covenant between me and thee and will multiply thee exceedingly.
and said, By myself I have sworn, said the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son;that in blessing I will bless thee and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gates of his enemies;and in thy seed shall all the Gentiles of the earth be blessed because thou hast hearkened unto my voice.
And the Lord said unto Moses, Write thou these words; for according to these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.¶ And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.Thou shalt not give false testimony against thy neighbour.Thou shalt not desire thy neighbour’s wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour’s house, his field or his manslave or his maidslave, his ox or his ass or any thing that is thy neighbour’s.These words the Lord spoke unto all your congregation in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice, and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone and delivered them unto me.¶ And it came to pass when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness and saw the mountain that burned with fire that ye came near unto me, even all the princes of your tribes and your elders;and ye said, Behold, the Lord our God has shown us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire; we have seen this day that God does talk with man, and he lives. Now, therefore, why should we die? For this great fire will consume us; if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, then we shall die.For what is all flesh that it should hear the voice of the living God that speaks out of the midst of the fire, as we heard, and live?Go thou near and hear all that the Lord our God shall say, and thou shalt tell us all that the Lord our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.And the Lord heard the voice of your words when ye spoke unto me, and the Lord said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee; they have well said all that they have spoken.O that there were such a heart in them that they would fear me and keep all my commandments always that it might be well with them and with their children for ever! Not with our fathers did the Lord make this covenant, but with us, all of us who are here alive this day.
Gather my merciful ones together unto me, those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
¶ O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee; I will praise thy name for thou hast done wonders, the counsels of old, the truth unchanging.
But he was wounded for our rebellions; he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by his stripes healing was provided for us.
Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will plant them and multiply them and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
¶ Think not that I am come to undo the law or the prophets; I am not come to undo, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Until heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall pass from the law until all is fulfilled.
For the promise that he should be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Brethren, (I speak after the manner of men) Even when a covenant is of man, once it is confirmed, no one cancels it or adds to it.Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He did not say, And to seeds, as of many, but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
And if ye are Christ’s, then ye are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon those that fear him, and his righteousness unto the children’s children,
For thus has the Lord said unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;even unto them will I give in my house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall never be cut off.
And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it as a feast unto the Lord throughout your ages; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.
¶ And he said, Behold, I make a covenant before all thy people: I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom thou art shall see the work of the Lord; for it shall be a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
Keep yourselves, do not forget the covenant of the Lord your God, which he established with you, and make yourselves a graven image or the likeness of any thing, which the Lord thy God has forbidden thee. For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
¶ And it shall come to pass, for having heard these rights and for having kept them by doing them that the Lord thy God shall keep the covenant with thee and the mercy which he swore unto thy fathers;and he will love thee and bless thee and multiply thee; he will also bless the fruit of thy womb and the fruit of thy land, thy grain and thy wine and thine oil, the increase of thy cows and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he swore unto thy fathers to give thee.
All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Thus has the Lord said, In an acceptable time I have heard thee, and in the day of saving health I have helped thee; and I will preserve thee and give thee for a covenant of people, that thou might awaken the earth, that thou might inherit the desolate heritages;
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, said the Lord, I will give my law in their souls and write it in their hearts and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
¶ Nevertheless I will remember my covenant that I made with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will confirm unto thee an everlasting covenant.
¶ I say then, Has God cast away his people? No, in no wise. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.Let their eyes be darkened that they may not see, and bow down their back always.I say then, Have they stumbled in such a manner that they should fall completely? No, in no wise; but rather through their fall, saving health is come unto the Gentiles to provoke them unto jealousy. And if the fall of them is the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles, how much more shall their fullness be?For (I call you Gentiles) inasmuch as I am truly the apostle of the Gentiles, my honorable ministry,if in any manner I may provoke my nation to jealousy and cause some of them to be saved. For if the casting away of them is the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? For if the firstfruit is holy, so shall the rest be; and if the root is holy, so shall be the branches. And if some of the branches were broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them and hath been made participant of the root and of the fatness of the olive tree,do not boast against the branches. But if thou boast, know that thou dost not bear the root, but the root thee.Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.God has not cast away his people whom he knew beforehand. Know ye not what the scripture says of Elijah? how speaking to God against Israel, he said,
¶ The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, son of David, son of Abraham.Ezekias begat Manasses; Manasses begat Amon; Amon begat Josias;Josias begat Jechonias and his brothers, about the time they were carried away to Babylon;after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; Salathiel begat Zorobabel;Zorobabel begat Abiud; Abiud begat Eliakim; Eliakim begat Azor;Azor begat Sadoc; Sadoc begat Achim; Achim begat Eliud;Eliud begat Eleazar; Eleazar begat Matthan; Matthan begat Jacob;Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; from the carrying away into Babylon unto the Christ are fourteen generations.
to fulfill mercy unto our fathers and remembering his holy covenantof the oath which he made to our father Abraham,
Ye are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
who are Israelites, to whom pertains the adoption as sons and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the law and the service of God and the promises, whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh is the Christ, who is God over all things, blessed for all the ages. Amen.
For all the promises of God are yes in him, and in him Amen, by us for the glory of God.
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed is every one that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident, for The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith, but The man that does the commandments shall live by them.Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, (for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree),That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
¶ The Holy Spirit signifying in this, that the way into the sanctuary was not yet made manifest, as long as the first tabernacle was yet standing:Which was a figure of that time present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience,
And the Lord has lifted thee up this day to be his unique people, as he has promised thee, and that thou should keep all his commandments,
He declares his words unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. The Lord, he who builds up Jerusalem; shall gather together the outcasts of Israel. He has not dealt so with the other nations, which have not known his judgments. Halelu-JAH.
And, behold, the Lord stood above it and said, I AM the God of Abraham, thy father, and the God of Isaac; the land upon which thou dost lie, to thee will I give it and to thy seed;and thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt multiply to the west and to the east and to the Aquilon and to the Negev; and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And, behold, I am with thee and will keep thee in all places where thou goest and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed, and thou shalt call his name Isaac (laughter); and I will confirm my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his seed after him.
I call the heavens and the earth to witness today against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life that both thou and thy seed may live, and shalt convert unto the Lord thy God and shalt hear his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart and with all thy soul, that thou may love the Lord thy God and that thou may hear his voice and that thou may cleave unto him; for he is thy life and the length of thy days that thou may dwell in the land which the Lord swore unto thy fathers, to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob, to give them.
But chose the tribe of Judah, the Mount Zion which he loved. And he built his sanctuary in preeminence like the earth which he has established for ever.
And this shall be my covenant with them, said the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words, which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from now on and for ever.
And I the Lord will be their God, and my slave David prince among them; I the Lord have spoken it.
But I say unto you, I will not drink from now on of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has visited and made redemption for his peopleAnd has raised up a horn of saving health for us in the house of his servant David,
For the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
¶ For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
But ye are the chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, an acquired people, that ye should show forth the virtues of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
that I will establish my covenant with you, that all flesh shall not be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
¶ Behold my covenant with thee: Thou shalt be a father of many Gentiles.Neither shall thy name any longer be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many Gentiles have I made thee.
He has given sustenance unto those that fear him; Jod He will ever be mindful of his covenant.
who made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is therein; who keeps truth for ever:
Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil unto the strong because he has poured out his soul unto death, and he was numbered with the rebellious, having borne the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Thus hath the Lord said; If ye can break my covenant with the day, and my covenant with the night, such that there should not be day nor night in their season, then may also my covenant be broken with David my slave, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites and priests, my ministers.
And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh and will give them a heart of flesh:
Therefore by faith, that it might be by grace, to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to that which is of the law, but also to that which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,
Brethren, (I speak after the manner of men) Even when a covenant is of man, once it is confirmed, no one cancels it or adds to it.
but when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,to redeem those that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
¶ Think not that I am come to undo the law or the prophets; I am not come to undo, but to fulfil.
This is the testament that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will give my laws in their hearts, and in their souls will I write them;
And the Lord said unto Moses, Write thou these words; for according to these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
And because he loved thy fathers, therefore, he chose their seed after them and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt,to drive out Gentiles from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.
If his sons forsake my law and do not walk in my judgments,if they profane my statutes and do not keep my commandments, then I will visit their rebellion with the rod and their iniquity with stripes.
Remember, O Lord, thy compassion and thy mercies, for they have been ever of old.Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my rebellions; according to thy mercy remember me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.
And even if all Israel were saved, as it is written: There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall take away the ungodliness from Jacob;and this shall be my covenant unto them when I shall take away their sins.
¶ To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy endures for ever:And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endures for ever:With a strong hand and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endures for ever.
Behold my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased; I will put my Spirit upon him, and he shall declare judgment unto the Gentiles.
knowing that ye have been ransomed from your vain conversation (which you received from your fathers), not with corruptible things like silver and gold, but with the precious blood of the Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without contamination,
He sent redemption unto his people; he has commanded his covenant for ever: Holy and reverend is his name.
¶ With all this the Lord chose to bruise him; subjecting him to grief. When he shall have offered his soul for atonement, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the will of the Lord shall be prospered in his hand.He shall see of the travail of his soul and shall be satisfied. And by his knowledge shall my righteous slave justify many, for he shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore go ye and learn what this is, I will have mercy and not sacrifice, for I am not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.
All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto the Lord; and all the families of the Gentiles shall worship before thee.
¶ Justified therefore by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus, the Christ,For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled with God by the death of his Son, much more, now reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only this, but we even glory in God through our Lord Jesus, the Christ, by whom we have now received the reconciliation. Therefore, in the manner which sin entered into the world by one man, and because of sin, death; and so death passed upon all men in the one in whom all sinned. For until the law, sin was in the world; but the sin was not imputed, there being no law.Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even in those that did not sin after the manner of the rebellion of Adam, who is a figure of him that was to come. But not as the offense, so also is the gift. For if through the offense of that one many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of one man, Jesus the Christ, has abounded unto many.Nor was it in the same manner as by one sin, likewise also the gift; for the judgment truly came of one sin unto condemnation, but grace came of many offenses unto justification. For if by one offense, death reigned because of one man; much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of gifts and of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus the Christ. Therefore, in the same manner that by the iniquity of one guilt came upon all men unto condemnation, even so by the righteousness of one, grace came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience, many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.by whom we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand and glory in hope of the glory of the sons of God.
¶ He has remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded for a thousand generations,
But thou, O Lord, art a merciful and gracious God, longsuffering and plenteous in mercy and truth.
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee; bind them about thy neck; write them upon the tablet of thine heart:Do not sue a man without cause, if he has done thee no harm.Envy thou not the oppressor and choose none of his ways. For the perverse is an abomination to the Lord; but his secret is with the righteous. The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked, but he shall bless the habitation of the just.Surely he scorns the scorners; but he gives grace unto the humble. The wise shall inherit glory; but shame shall be the promotion of fools. So shalt thou find grace and good favour in the sight of God and man.
Thus has the Lord said, In an acceptable time I have heard thee, and in the day of saving health I have helped thee; and I will preserve thee and give thee for a covenant of people, that thou might awaken the earth, that thou might inherit the desolate heritages;that thou may say to the prisoners, Go forth; and unto those that are in darkness, Show yourselves. Upon the ways shall they be fed, and upon all the high places shall be their pastures.
And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations.
And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty and floods upon the dry ground; I will pour my spirit upon thy seed and my blessing upon thine offspring:
For his anger endures but a moment; in his will is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
¶ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you;for every one that asks receives, and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks it shall be opened.
¶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of the Christ; for it is the power of God to give saving health to every one that believes: to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in him is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Thy truth is from generation to generation; thou hast established the earth, and it perseveres.
For thus has said the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is The Holy One; I dwell in the high place and in holiness and with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit to cause the spirit of the humble to live and to cause the heart of the contrite ones to live.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the eternal testament, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for the ages of the ages. Amen.
And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.I will lift up My hands unto thy commandments, which I have loved, and I will meditate in thy statutes.
I will worship the temple of thy holiness and praise thy name above thy mercy and thy truth; for thou hast made thy name to be magnificent and raised up thy spoken word above all things.
¶ Do not fear for I am with thee; do not be dismayed, for I am thy God, who strengthens thee; I will help thee always; I will always uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
I will not profane my covenant, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
¶ Not as though the word of God has been deficient. For not all the descendants of Israel are Israelites;
Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my slave whom I have chosen that ye may know and believe me and understand that I am he; before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
and remember his covenant with them and repent according to the multitude of his mercies.
he doubted not the promise of God, with unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; thy mercy, O Lord, endures for ever; forsake not the works of thine own hands.
¶ Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty,¶ Thou art he who sends the springs into the valleys, which run among the mountains. They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst.Next to them the fowls of the heavens have their habitation; they sing among the leaves. He waters the mountains from his chambers; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. He causes the hay to grow for the cattle and grass for the service of man, that he may bring forth bread out of the earthand wine that makes glad the heart of man, making his face to shine with oil and bread which sustains man’s heart. The trees of the Lord are satisfied; the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted, that the birds may make their nests there: the stork makes her house among the fir trees. The high mountains are a refuge for the wild goats, and the rocks for the conies.¶ He appointed the moon for times and seasons; the sun knows his going down.who dost cover thyself with light as with a garment, who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain,Thou makest darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest move. The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from God.The sun arises, they withdraw and lay themselves down in their dens.Man goes forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom thou hast made them all; the earth is full of thy riches. So is this great and wide sea, wherein are innumerable creeping things, both small and great beasts. There go the ships; there is that leviathan, whom thou didst make to play therein. These wait all upon thee, that thou may give them their food in due season.Thou givest unto them, they gather; thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; thou takest away their spirit, they cease to exist and return to their dust.who dost establish his chambers between the waters, who makes the clouds his chariot, who walks upon the wings of the wind,Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created; and thou renewest the face of the earth.¶ Let the glory of the Lord endure for ever; let the Lord rejoice in his works. He looks on the earth, and it trembles: he touches the mountains, and they smoke.I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be sweet; I will be glad in the Lord.Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the Lord, O my soul. Halelu- JAH (Praise ye the Lord).who makes his angels spirits, his ministers a flaming fire, who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved by any age.
But the fruit of the Spirit is this: Charity, joy, peace, tolerance, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
