You know, God sees right into our hearts. He knows when we're giving our best. He's not looking for perfection, but He loves it when we give cheerfully and not grudgingly. Think about it: when you give a gift with a happy heart, it just feels different, right?
Your offering should come from a willing heart, given justly, according to what you have. As the Bible says, "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart" (2 Corinthians 9:7). It's not about how much, but about the heart behind it.
The Bible teaches us that God wants us to give joyfully and generously, just like He does. He gives abundantly, "without finding fault" (James 1:5). Think about the sunshine and the rain – He gives those to everyone, right? Just like in Matthew 5:45, He sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. That's true generosity.
So, when you give to God, think of it as a thank you for all He's given you. And don't forget about giving to others, too, following God's example. It's a way of acknowledging that everything we have ultimately belongs to Him.
When you give, trust in God's faithfulness and His promise to provide for all your needs. He's got you covered. More than the actual gift, He cares about the attitude behind it. He wants your offering to be obedient and freely given, according to His commandments, and accompanied by a merciful heart, full of the desire to glorify Him. God makes it clear that He's not pleased with offerings that are just going through the motions, you know, those traditional or ritualistic ones that lack a truly obedient and merciful heart, lacking the desire to glorify Him.
while Abel—he also brought of the firstborn of his flock and their fat portions. Now Adonai looked favorably upon Abel and his offering,
Ascribe to Adonai the glory due to His Name. Bring an offering and come before Him. Worship Adonai in the splendor of holiness.
He sat down opposite the treasury and began watching how the people were putting money into the offering box. Many rich people were putting in a lot. Then a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, worth less than a penny.Calling His disciples over, He said to them, “Amen, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all those contributing to the box!For they all put in from their surplus; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything she had, her whole living.”
“Therefore if you are presenting your offering upon the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.
So whenever you do tzadakah, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they may be glorified by men. Amen, I tell you, they have their reward in full!
Let each one give as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion—for God loves a cheerful giver.
Give, and it will be given to you—a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, overflowing, will be given into your lap. For whatever measure you measure out will be measured back to you.”
For the music director, a psalm of David.Adonai, save the king! Answer us on the day we call!May Adonai answer you in the day of trouble! May the Name of the God of Jacob set you up securely on high.May He send you help from the Sanctuary and support you from Zion.
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. So whenever you do tzadakah, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they may be glorified by men. Amen, I tell you, they have their reward in full! But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in or steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Yeshua said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell what you own, and give to the poor; and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”
If I give away all that I own and if I hand over my body so I might boast but have not love, I gain nothing.
And He will sit as a smelter or a purifier of silver, and He will cleanse the sons of Levi, and purify them like gold or silver. Then they will become for Adonai those who present an offering in righteousness.
For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make some contribution for the poor among the believers in Jerusalem.
And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that by always having enough of everything, you may overflow in every good work.
Now the One who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully.
Now concerning the collection for the kedoshim, as I directed Messiah’s communities in Galatia, you do likewise. Now if Timothy comes, see that he has nothing to fear among you—for he is doing the Lord’s work, just as I am.No one, then, should treat him with disrespect. But set him on his way in shalom, so that he might come to me; for I am expecting him, along with the brothers. Now about our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to come to you with the brothers and sisters, and he was quite unwilling to come now—but he will come when he has an opportunity.Be on the alert! Stand firm in the faith! Be men of courage! Be strong!Let all that you do be done in love. Now I urge you, brothers and sisters (you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves in service to the kedoshim),also to submit to people such as these, and to everyone working together and laboring.I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, for they made up for your absence. For they refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men.Messiah’s communities in Asia greet you. Aquila and Prisca greet you warmly in the Lord, with the community that meets in their house. On the first day of the week, let each of you set something aside, saving up whatever is gained, so no collections take place when I come.
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse. Then there will be food in My House. Now test Me in this”—says Adonai-Tzva’ot—“if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out blessing for you, until no one is without enough.
One gives freely, yet gains even more. Another withholds unjustly, and comes to poverty.
“When you bring a sacrifice of fellowship offerings to Adonai, you are to offer it so that you may be accepted.
You will be enriched in everything for all generosity, which through us brings about thanksgiving to God.
Give to every one who asks you; and whoever takes something of yours, make no demands upon him.
But I have received everything and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you sent—a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before others to be seen by them; otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’“For if you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.“And whenever you fast, do not become sad-faced like the hypocrites, for they neglect their faces to make their fasting evident to men. Amen, I tell you, they have their reward in full! But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,so that your fasting won’t be evident to men, but to your Father who is in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.“The eye is the lamp of the body. Therefore if your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stick by one and look down on the other. You cannot serve God and money.”“So I say to you, do not worry about your life—what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?“Look at the birds of the air. They do not sow or reap or gather into barns; yet your Father in heaven feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? And why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They neither toil nor spin.Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But when you do tzadakah, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,Now if in this way God clothes the grass—which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow—will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’For the pagans eagerly pursue all these things; yet your Father in heaven knows that you need all these. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”so that your tzadakah may be in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, shall reward you.
So it happened after some time that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to Adonai, while Abel—he also brought of the firstborn of his flock and their fat portions. Now Adonai looked favorably upon Abel and his offering, but upon Cain and his offering He did not look favorably. Cain became very angry, and his countenance fell.
Take from among you an offering for Adonai. Whoever has a willing heart, let him bring Adonai’s offering: gold, silver and bronze;
When you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to Adonai, you are to present it so that you may be accepted.
the gift of each man’s hand according to the blessing Adonai your God has given you.
Deliver me from bloodguilt, O God— God of my salvation. Then my tongue will sing for joy of Your righteousness.O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise.
“But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For everything comes from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.
Then Yeshua looked up and saw the rich dropping their gifts into the treasury box. Then He continued telling them, “Nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes along with famines and epidemics in various places, and there will be terrors along with great signs from heaven. But before all these things, they will grab you and persecute you, handing you over to the synagogues and prisons, and leading you away to kings and governors on account of My name. This will lead you to be a witness. So make up your minds not to prepare ahead of time to defend yourselves—for I Myself will give you speech and wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute. But you will be handed over even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends—and they will put some of you to death. And you will be hated by all because of My name.Yet not a hair of your head will be lost.By your endurance, you will gain your souls. He also saw a poor widow dropping in two small copper coins.“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is near. Then those in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those inside the city must get out, and those in the countryside must not enter her.For these are the days of punishment, to fulfill all that has been written.“Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath on this people. They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led away captive into all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.“There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars. And upon the earth nations will be confused by the roaring of the sea and its waves.People will lose heart from fear and anticipation of what is overtaking the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, stand straight and lift up your heads, because your salvation is near!”Then Yeshua told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree and all the trees. And He said, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all the rest.As soon as they sprout their leaves, you see it and you know at once that summer is near.So also, when you see these all these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.Amen, I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things happen.Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.“But watch out so your hearts are not weighed down by carousing, strong drink, and the worries of life. Do not let that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come rushing upon all who live on the face of the whole earth. But stay alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things about to happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”So during the days Yeshua was teaching in the Temple, but in the nights He went out and stayed on the Mount of Olives. And all the people would come early in the morning to hear Him in the Temple. For all these put in their gifts from their surplus. But she, out of her poverty, put in all she had to live on.”
I urge you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice—holy, acceptable to God—which is your spiritual service.
“Tell Bnei-Yisrael to take up an offering for Me. From anyone whose heart compels him you are to take My offering.
you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house—a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Messiah Yeshua.

Those who sow in tears will reap with a song of joy.Whoever keeps going out weeping, carrying his bag of seed, will surely come back with a song of joy, carrying his sheaves.
On the first day of the week, let each of you set something aside, saving up whatever is gained, so no collections take place when I come.
For if the eagerness is present, the gift is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he doesn’t have.
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
Adonai is God, and He has given us light. Join the festival with branches, up to the horns of the altar.
Whatever you do, work at it from the soul, as for the Lord and not for people. For you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as a reward. It is to the Lord Messiah you are giving service.
Do not be deceived—God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he also shall reap. For the one who sows in the flesh will reap corruption from the flesh. But the one who sows in the Ruach will reap from the Ruach eternal life.So let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we don’t give up.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise! Praise Him, bless His Name.
“Is not this the fast I choose: to release the bonds of wickedness, to untie the cords of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to tear off every yoke?Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, to bring the homeless poor into your house? When you see the naked, to cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh and blood?
By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain. Through faith he was commended as righteous when God approved of his gifts. And through faith he still speaks, although he is dead.
But now I am going to Jerusalem, bringing aid to the kedoshim. For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make some contribution for the poor among the believers in Jerusalem.
Direct them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, to be generous, sharing, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the future, so they might take hold of the true life.
How can I repay Adonai for all His bounties to me?I will lift up the cup of salvation, and call on the Name of Adonai.I will fulfill my vows to Adonai in the presence of all His people.
But if someone has material possessions and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?Children, let us not love with word or talk, but in deed and truth!
Through Yeshua then, let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips giving thanks to His name.
The righteous cry out and Adonai hears, and delivers them from all their troubles.Adonai is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those crushed in spirit.
If we sowed spiritual things into you, is it too much if we reap material things from you?
shepherd God’s flock among you. Watch over it not under compulsion but willingly before God, not for dishonest gain but eagerly.Don’t lord it over those apportioned to you, but become examples to the flock.
The one who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors Him.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
