Think about Job, how he'd offer sacrifices for his children, worried they might have sinned. He wanted to make things right with God. It's a powerful image, isn't it?
But here's the amazing thing: you don't have to do that anymore. Jesus' sacrifice covers everything. His blood has cleansed you, forgiven you. That's a gift worth more than anything, right?
So what can you do now? How can you show your gratitude? It's not about burnt offerings anymore. It's about living a life that honors God. It's about waking up each day and choosing to walk in His will, showing love and obedience in everything you do.
That's the kind of "offering" that truly matters. A genuine heart, filled with thankfulness, radiating His love – that's what God desires most. It's like a beautiful fragrance rising up to Him.
You've already been forgiven. You've confessed Jesus as your savior. Now, turn away from anything that pulls you from Him. Embrace the good, and live each day as a testament to His grace. Live a life worthy of the One who called you out of darkness and into His marvelous light. That’s the best gift you can give.
Also every day you shall offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement. Also you shall offer a sin offering for the altar, when you make atonement for it, and shall anoint it, to consecrate it.

He shall remove all its fat and turn it into smoke on the altar.Speak to the people of Israel, saying: When anyone sins unintentionally in any of the Lord's commandments about things not to be done, and does any one of them:He shall do with the bull just as is done with the bull of sin offering; he shall do the same with this. The priest shall make atonement for them, and they shall be forgiven.
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his gracethat he lavished on us. With all wisdom and insight
He shall do with the bull just as is done with the bull of sin offering; he shall do the same with this. The priest shall make atonement for them, and they shall be forgiven.
So when you are offering your gift at the altar, if you remember that your brother or sister has something against you,leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.

Will anyone rob God? Yet you are robbing me! But you say, “How are we robbing you?” In your tithes and offerings!
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven;
Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Now therefore take seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly; for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has done.”
Let it be known to you therefore, my brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you;
If the offering you bring as a sin offering is a sheep, you shall bring a female without blemish.
“Beware of practicing your piety before others in order to be seen by them; for then you have no reward from your Father in heaven.Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.And do not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue us from the evil one. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you;but if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.“And whenever you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so as to show others that they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face,so that your fasting may be seen not by others but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal;“So whenever you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal.For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light;but if your eye is unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!“No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life?And why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin,yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’For it is the Gentiles who strive for all these things; and indeed your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. “So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today.so that your alms may be done in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

You shall not offer anything that has a blemish, for it will not be acceptable in your behalf.When anyone offers a sacrifice of well-being to the Lord, in fulfillment of a vow or as a freewill offering, from the herd or from the flock, to be acceptable it must be perfect; there shall be no blemish in it.
and let all survivors, in whatever place they reside, be assisted by the people of their place with silver and gold, with goods and with animals, besides freewill offerings for the house of God in Jerusalem.”

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal;“So whenever you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal.For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
In the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground,and Abel for his part brought of the firstlings of his flock, their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and his offering,
As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share,thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life.
With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to you; I will give thanks to your name, O Lord, for it is good.
“Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree bad, and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit.You brood of vipers! How can you speak good things, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.The good person brings good things out of a good treasure, and the evil person brings evil things out of an evil treasure.
Faithfully they brought in the contributions, the tithes and the dedicated things. The chief officer in charge of them was Conaniah the Levite, with his brother Shimei as second;

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you;but if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices? says the Lord; I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed beasts; I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of goats.When you come to appear before me, who asked this from your hand? Trample my courts no more;bringing offerings is futile; incense is an abomination to me. New moon and sabbath and calling of convocation— I cannot endure solemn assemblies with iniquity.Your new moons and your appointed festivals my soul hates; they have become a burden to me, I am weary of bearing them.When you stretch out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.
Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.
He looked up and saw rich people putting their gifts into the treasury;Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom;there will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and plagues; and there will be dreadful portents and great signs from heaven.“But before all this occurs, they will arrest you and persecute you; they will hand you over to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors because of my name.This will give you an opportunity to testify.So make up your minds not to prepare your defense in advance;for I will give you words and a wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to withstand or contradict.You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, by relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death.You will be hated by all because of my name.But not a hair of your head will perish.By your endurance you will gain your souls.he also saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins.“When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near.Then those in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those inside the city must leave it, and those out in the country must not enter it;for these are days of vengeance, as a fulfillment of all that is written.Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress on the earth and wrath against this people;they will fall by the edge of the sword and be taken away as captives among all nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.“There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on the earth distress among nations confused by the roaring of the sea and the waves.People will faint from fear and foreboding of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.Then they will see ‘the Son of Man coming in a cloud’ with power and great glory.Now when these things begin to take place, stand up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”Then he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree and all the trees;He said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them;as soon as they sprout leaves you can see for yourselves and know that summer is already near.So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near.Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things have taken place.Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.“Be on guard so that your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of this life, and that day catch you unexpectedly,like a trap. For it will come upon all who live on the face of the whole earth.Be alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”Every day he was teaching in the temple, and at night he would go out and spend the night on the Mount of Olives, as it was called.And all the people would get up early in the morning to listen to him in the temple.for all of them have contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.”
Be on your guard! If another disciple sins, you must rebuke the offender, and if there is repentance, you must forgive.—it will be like that on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.On that day, anyone on the housetop who has belongings in the house must not come down to take them away; and likewise anyone in the field must not turn back.Remember Lot's wife.Those who try to make their life secure will lose it, but those who lose their life will keep it.I tell you, on that night there will be two in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.There will be two women grinding meal together; one will be taken and the other left.”Then they asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.”And if the same person sins against you seven times a day, and turns back to you seven times and says, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive.”
Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?”Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.

But if you make for me an altar of stone, do not build it of hewn stones; for if you use a chisel upon it you profane it.
Some give freely, yet grow all the richer; others withhold what is due, and only suffer want.A generous person will be enriched, and one who gives water will get water.
Come now, let us argue it out, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be like snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand?But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

I have been paid in full and have more than enough; I am fully satisfied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.
It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice.
“In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.
for Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to share their resources with the poor among the saints at Jerusalem.They were pleased to do this, and indeed they owe it to them; for if the Gentiles have come to share in their spiritual blessings, they ought also to be of service to them in material things.
On the first day of every week, each of you is to put aside and save whatever extra you earn, so that collections need not be taken when I come.
In all this I have given you an example that by such work we must support the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, for he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
