When you choose to live without God, it's easy to lose that awareness of Him and start making choices that aren't aligned with His ways. Maybe you haven't truly encountered Him yet. Our hearts can be so deceitful, always looking for ways to satisfy our own twisted desires, driven by that inner restlessness.
The only way to live a righteous life is to keep God's word close to your heart and follow His will. That's how genuine goodness grows from deep within.
God isn't pleased when offerings are misused. They should be used to grow His work and spread the Gospel to everyone, fulfilling the command He gave us. Prayer is key to making sure your offerings are used the right way and that you're following God's leading.
And you say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it is nothing. But if anyone swears by the gift on it, he is obligated.’You blind fools! Which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?
You shall not walk in the customs of the nation that I am driving out before you, for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.But I have said to you: You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess it, a land that flows with milk and honey. I am the Lord your God, who has separated you from other peoples.You shall therefore make distinction between the clean animal from the unclean, and the unclean fowl from the clean, and you shall not make yourselves detestable by animal, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that crawls on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.
You must not sacrifice to the Lord your God any bull or sheep that has a blemish or any defect, for that is detestable to the Lord your God.
Let every man give according to the purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me. But you say, “How have we robbed You?” In tithes and offerings.
“Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,leave your gift there before the altar and go on your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
For all these out of their abundance have put in their gifts for God. But she out of her poverty has put in all the living she had.”

Therefore, the Lord said: Because this people draw near with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is tradition by the precept of men,
To what purpose does incense from Sheba come to Me, and the sweet cane from a far country? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor are your sacrifices sweet to Me.
‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.In vain they do worship Me, teaching as instructions from the precepts of men.’ ”
But do not forget to do good and to share. For with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
I hate, I despise your festivals, and I am not pleased by your solemn assemblies.Though you offer Me burnt offerings or your grain offerings, I will not accept them, nor will I regard the offerings of your fattened animals.Take away from Me the noise of your songs; I will not listen to the melody of your harps.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.
“With what should I come before the Lord, and bow down before God on high? For You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering.The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

you also, as living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house as a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

He was killed, and all who obeyed him were dispersed and came to nothing.After Theudas, Judas the Galilean rose up in the days of the census and drew away many people after him. This man also perished, and all who obeyed him were scattered.Now I tell you, keep away from these men and leave them alone, because if this intention or this activity is of men, it will come to nothing.But if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them, lest perhaps you be found even fighting against God.”While it remained unsold, was it not your own? And when it was sold, was it not under your authority? Why have you conceived this deed in your heart? You did not lie to men, but to God.”
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.
Then He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness. For a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain offered. Through this he was approved as righteous, with God testifying concerning his gifts. He still speaks through his faith, though he is dead.
On the first day of the week let every one of you lay in store, as God has prospered him, so that no collections be made when I come.
For all who rely on the works of the law are under the curse. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the Book of the Law, to do them.”
Incline my heart unto Your testimonies, and not unto covetousness.Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity, and revive me in Your ways.
