Think about first fruits – that special offering we give to God. It's a way of saying "thank you" and showing our love for Him. In the Bible, it's often talked about with the first harvest or the firstborn livestock. But it's so much deeper than that, isn't it?
Giving our first fruits is really about acknowledging that everything we have comes from God. It's about honoring Him by giving Him the first and the best – not the leftovers. It's an act of trust, like saying, "God, I know you'll provide. I know you're the owner of everything, and I depend on you."
It's a good reminder to put God first in everything – not just our money, but our time, our talents, how we use what we have, even the decisions we make every single day. When we put God first, we're saying, "I trust you, God. I want your guidance in everything I do."
It's like James 1:181 says, "He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created." That's pretty powerful, to think of ourselves as God's first fruits.
Honor Jehovah with your substance, and with the firstfruits of all your increase,and your storerooms shall be filled with plenty, and your wine-vats shall burst with new wine.

What good to Me are your many sacrifices, says Jehovah? I am sated with burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fattened cattle, and the blood of bulls; nor do I delight in the blood of lambs and he goats.When you come to see My face, who has required this at your hand, to trample My courts?Do not add to bringing vain sacrifice; its incense is a disgusting thing to Me. I cannot endure the new moon and sabbath, the going to meeting; I cannot endure the evil assembly.My soul hates your new moons and your set feasts. They are a burden on Me. I am weary of bearing them.And when you spread out your palms, I will hide My eyes from you; also, when you multiply prayer, I will not hear. Your palms are full of bloods.Wash yourselves, purify yourselves. Remove the evil of your doings from before My eyes; cease doing evil.Learn to do good, seek justice, straighten the oppressor, judge the orphan, strive for the widow.
Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, do not trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be glorified by men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward.But you doing merciful deeds, do not let your left know what your right hand does,so that your merciful deeds may be in secret. And your Father, the One seeing in secret, Himself will repay you in the open.
For you do not desire sacrifice, or I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering.The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

Therefore, if you, being evil, know to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father, the One in Heaven give good things to those that ask Him?
But even as you abound in everything, in faith, and in word, and in knowledge, and in all earnestness, and in your love in us, that you also should abound in this grace.
