I have set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall serve as a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.It shall come about, when I make a cloud appear over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud,and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh.
On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your descendants I have given this land, From the river of Egypt as far as the great river, the river Euphrates:
I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you.And I will give to you and to your descendants after you the land where you live as a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”
Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine;and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.”
Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it as the people listened; and they said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient!”So Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”
Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His faithfulness to a thousand generations for those who love Him and keep His commandments;
It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you are going in to take possession of their land, but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord your God is driving them out from before you, and in order to confirm the oath which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
So you will keep the words of this covenant and do them, in order that you may be successful in everything that you do.
“See, I have placed before you today life and happiness, and death and adversity,in that I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, so that you may live and become numerous, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to take possession of it.
“For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, But My favor will not be removed from you, Nor will My covenant of peace be shaken,” Says the Lord who has compassion on you.
For I, the Lord, love justice, I hate robbery in the burnt offering; And I will faithfully give them their reward, And make an everlasting covenant with them.
“Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah,not like the covenant which I made with their fathers on the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord.“For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord: “I will put My law within them and write it on their heart; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.They will not teach again, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their wrongdoing, and their sin I will no longer remember.”
“And I will make a covenant of peace with them and eliminate harmful animals from the land, so that they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.
Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances.
“My covenant with him was one of life and peace, and I gave them to him as an object of reverence; so he revered Me and was in awe of My name.
for this is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.
And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant in My blood.
But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, to the extent that He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises.For if that first covenant had been free of fault, no circumstances would have been sought for a second.
For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the violations that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
“This is the covenant which I will make with them After those days, declares the Lord: I will put My laws upon their hearts, And write them on their mind,” He then says,“And their sins and their lawless deeds I will no longer remember.”
Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country, And from your relatives And from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you;Now there was a famine in the land; so Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a time, because the famine was severe in the land.It came about, when he was approaching Egypt, that he said to his wife Sarai, “See now, I know that you are a beautiful woman;and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife’; and they will kill me, but they will let you live.Please say that you are my sister so that it may go well for me because of you, and that I may live on account of you.”Now it came about, when Abram entered Egypt, that the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful.Pharaoh’s officials saw her and praised her to Pharaoh; and the woman was taken into Pharaoh’s house.Therefore he treated Abram well for her sake; and he gave him sheep, oxen, male donkeys, male servants and female servants, female donkeys, and camels. But the Lord struck Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram’s wife.Then Pharaoh called Abram and said, “What is this that you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife?Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her for myself as a wife? Now then, here is your wife, take her and go!”And I will make you into a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing;And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him; and they escorted him away, with his wife and all that belonged to him.And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless. This is My covenant, which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: every male among you shall be circumcised.And you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall be the sign of the covenant between Me and you.And every male among you who is eight days old shall be circumcised throughout your generations, including a slave who is born in the house or who is bought with money from any foreigner, who is not of your descendants.A slave who is born in your house or who is bought with your money shall certainly be circumcised; so My covenant shall be in your flesh as an everlasting covenant.But as for an uncircumcised male, one who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.”Then God said to Abraham, “As for your wife Sarai, you shall not call her by the name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name.I will bless her, and indeed I will give you a son by her. Then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.”Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Will a child be born to a man a hundred years old? And will Sarah, who is ninety years old, give birth to a child?”And Abraham said to God, “Oh that Ishmael might live before You!”But God said, “No, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you shall name him Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.“I will make My covenant between Me and you, And I will multiply you exceedingly.”
and said, “By Myself I have sworn, declares the Lord, because you have done this thing and have not withheld your son, your only son,indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand, which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies.And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”So he was there with the Lord for forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread or drink water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
The Lord our God made a covenant with us at Horeb.‘You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.‘You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor desire your neighbor’s house, his field, his male slave or his female slave, his ox, his donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.’“These words the Lord spoke to your whole assembly at the mountain from the midst of the fire, from the cloud, and from the thick darkness, with a great voice, and He added nothing more. He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.And when you heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you approached me, all the heads of your tribes and your elders.You said, ‘Behold, the Lord our God has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we have heard His voice from the midst of the fire; we have seen today that God speaks with mankind, yet he lives.Now then, why should we die? For this great fire will consume us; if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any longer, then we will die!For who is there of humanity who has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?Go near and listen to everything that the Lord our God says; then speak to us everything that the Lord our God speaks to you, and we will listen and do it.’ “Now the Lord heard the sound of your words when you spoke to me, and the Lord said to me, ‘I have heard the sound of the words of this people which they have spoken to you. They have done well in all that they have spoken.If only they had such a heart in them, to fear Me and keep all My commandments always, so that it would go well with them and with their sons forever!The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, all of us who are alive here today.
Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.
But He was pierced for our offenses, He was crushed for our wrongdoings; The punishment for our well-being was laid upon Him, And by His wounds we are healed.
And I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant with them. And I will place them and multiply them, and set My sanctuary in their midst forever.
“Do not presume that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law, until all is accomplished!
For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Brothers and sisters, I speak in terms of human relations: even though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been ratified, no one sets it aside or adds conditions to it.Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as one would in referring to many, but rather as in referring to one, “And to your seed,” that is, Christ.
And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting for those who fear Him, And His justice to the children’s children,
For this is what the Lord says: “To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold firmly to My covenant,To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial, And a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which will not be eliminated.
‘Now this day shall be a memorial to you, and you shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord; throughout your generations you are to celebrate it as a permanent ordinance.
Then God said, “Behold, I am going to make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform miracles which have not been produced in all the earth nor among any of the nations; and all the people among whom you live will see the working of the Lord, for it is a fearful thing that I am going to perform with you.
So be careful yourselves, that you do not forget the covenant of the Lord your God which He made with you, and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything against which the Lord your God has commanded you.For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
“Then it shall come about, because you listen to these judgments and keep and do them, that the Lord your God will keep His covenant with you and His faithfulness which He swore to your forefathers.And He will love you, bless you, and make you numerous; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, your grain, your new wine, and your oil, the newborn of your cattle and the offspring of your flock, in the land which He swore to your forefathers to give you.
All the paths of the Lord are faithfulness and truth To those who comply with His covenant and His testimonies.
¶This is what the Lord says: “At a favorable time I answered You, And on a day of salvation I helped You; And I will watch over You and make You a covenant of the people, To restore the land, to give as inheritances the deserted hereditary lands;
“For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord: “I will put My law within them and write it on their heart; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
“Nevertheless, I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.
I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? Far from it! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.“May their eyes be darkened to see not, And bend their backs continually.”I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? Far from it! But by their wrongdoing salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous.Now if their wrongdoing proves to be riches for the world, and their failure, riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fulfillment be!But I am speaking to you who are Gentiles. Therefore insofar as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I magnify my ministryif somehow I may move my own people to jealousy and save some of them.For if their rejection proves to be the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?If the first piece of dough is holy, the lump is also; and if the root is holy, the branches are as well.But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree,do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you.You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.”God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel?
The record of the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham: Hezekiah fathered Manasseh, Manasseh fathered Amon, and Amon fathered Josiah.Josiah fathered Jeconiah and his brothers, at the time of the deportation to Babylon. After the deportation to Babylon: Jeconiah fathered Shealtiel, and Shealtiel fathered Zerubbabel.Zerubbabel fathered Abihud, Abihud fathered Eliakim, and Eliakim fathered Azor.Azor fathered Zadok, Zadok fathered Achim, and Achim fathered Eliud.Eliud fathered Eleazar, Eleazar fathered Matthan, and Matthan fathered Jacob.Jacob fathered Joseph the husband of Mary, by whom Jesus was born, who is called the Messiah. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the deportation to Babylon to the Messiah, fourteen generations.
To show mercy to our fathers, And to remember His holy covenant,The oath which He swore to our father Abraham,
It is you who are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God ordained with your fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’
who are Israelites, to whom belongs the adoption as sons and daughters, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the Law, the temple service, and the promises;whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.
For as many as the promises of God are, in Him they are yes; therefore through Him also is our Amen to the glory of God through us.
For all who are of works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all the things written in the book of the Law, to do them.”Now, that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “the righteous one will live by faith.”However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “The person who performs them will live by them.”Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”—in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Now even the first covenant had regulations for divine worship and the earthly sanctuary.
The Holy Spirit is signifying this, that the way into the holy place has not yet been disclosed while the outer tabernacle is still standing,which is a symbol for the present time. Accordingly both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make the worshiper perfect in conscience,
And the Lord has today declared you to be His people, His personal possession, just as He promised you, and that you are to keep all His commandments;
He declares His words to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel.The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel.He has not dealt this way with any other nation; And as for His judgments, they have not known them. Praise the Lord!
Then behold, the Lord was standing above it and said, “I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and to your descendants.Your descendants will also be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, and to the north and to the south; and in you and in your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”
But God said, “No, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you shall name him Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have placed before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,and you return to the Lord your God and obey Him with all your heart and soul in accordance with everything that I am commanding you today, you and your sons,by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding close to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, so that you may live in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
But chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which He loved.And He built His sanctuary like the heights, Like the earth which He has established forever.
“As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the Lord: “My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the Lord, “from now and forever.”
And I, the Lord, will be their God, and My servant David will be prince among them; I the Lord have spoken.
But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it with you, new, in My Father’s kingdom.”
“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people,And has raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of His servant David—
For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.”
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
I establish My covenant with you; and all flesh shall never again be eliminated by the waters of a flood, nor shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth.”
“As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, And you will be the father of a multitude of nations.“No longer shall you be named Abram, But your name shall be Abraham; For I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.
Who made heaven and earth, The sea and everything that is in them; Who keeps faith forever;
Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the plunder with the strong, Because He poured out His life unto death, And was counted with wrongdoers; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the wrongdoers.
“This is what the Lord says: ‘If you can break My covenant for the day and My covenant for the night, so that day and night do not occur at their proper time,then My covenant with David My servant may also be broken, so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers.
And I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them. And I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,
For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,

¶“If his sons abandon My Law And do not walk in My judgments,If they violate My statutes And do not keep My commandments,Then I will punish their wrongdoing with the rod, And their guilt with afflictions.
Remember, Lord, Your compassion and Your faithfulness, For they have been from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth or my wrongdoings; Remember me according to Your faithfulness, For Your goodness’ sake, Lord.
and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written: “The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob.”“This is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.”
¶To Him who struck the Egyptians, that is, their firstborn, For His faithfulness is everlasting,And brought Israel out from their midst, For His faithfulness is everlasting,With a strong hand and an outstretched arm, For His faithfulness is everlasting.
“Behold, My Servant whom I have chosen; My Beloved in whom My soul delights; I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He will proclaim justice to the Gentiles.
knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers,but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
He has sent redemption to His people; He has ordained His covenant forever; Holy and awesome is His name.
¶But the Lord desired To crush Him, causing Him grief; If He renders Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, For He will bear their wrongdoings.
Now go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, rather than sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations will worship before You.
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.And not only this, but we also celebrate in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all mankind, because all sinned—for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not counted against anyone when there is no law.Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the violation committed by Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the gracious gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many.The gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned; for on the one hand the judgment arose from one offense, resulting in condemnation, but on the other hand the gracious gift arose from many offenses, resulting in justification.For if by the offense of the one, death reigned through the one, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.So then, as through one offense the result was condemnation to all mankind, so also through one act of righteousness the result was justification of life to all mankind.For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.through whom we also have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we celebrate in hope of the glory of God.
¶He has remembered His covenant forever, The word which He commanded to a thousand generations,
But You, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, Slow to anger and abundant in mercy and truth.
Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart.Do not contend with a person for no reason, If he has done you no harm.Do not envy a violent person, And do not choose any of his ways.For the devious are an abomination to the Lord; But He is intimate with the upright. The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the home of the righteous.Though He scoffs at the scoffers, Yet He gives grace to the needy.The wise will inherit honor, But fools increase dishonor.So you will find favor and a good reputation In the sight of God and man.
¶This is what the Lord says: “At a favorable time I answered You, And on a day of salvation I helped You; And I will watch over You and make You a covenant of the people, To restore the land, to give as inheritances the deserted hereditary lands; Saying to those who are bound, ‘Go free,’ To those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves.’ They will feed along the roads, And their pasture will be on all bare heights.
And you will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God.
For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting And His faithfulness is to all generations.
Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary.
‘For I will pour water on the thirsty land And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, And My blessing on your descendants;
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.
“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”
Your faithfulness continues throughout generations; You established the earth, and it stands.
For this is what the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, says: “I dwell in a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.
Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, that is, Jesus our Lord,equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. I will delight in Your commandments, Which I love.And I shall lift up my hands to Your commandments, Which I love; And I will meditate on Your statutes.
I will bow down toward Your holy temple And give thanks to Your name for Your mercy and Your truth; For You have made Your word great according to all Your name.
‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will also help you, I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
“I will not violate My covenant, Nor will I alter the utterance of My lips. “Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David.
But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel;
“You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me.
And He remembered His covenant for their sake, And relented according to the greatness of His mercy.
yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God,
The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; Your faithfulness, Lord, is everlasting; Do not abandon the works of Your hands.
Bless the Lord, my soul! Lord my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty,¶He sends forth springs in the valleys; They flow between the mountains;They give drink to every animal of the field; The wild donkeys quench their thirst.The birds of the sky dwell beside them; They lift up their voices from among the branches. He waters the mountains from His upper chambers; The earth is satisfied with the fruit of His works.¶He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, And vegetation for the labor of mankind, So that they may produce food from the earth, And wine, which makes a human heart cheerful, So that he makes his face gleam with oil, And food, which sustains a human heart. The trees of the Lord drink their fill, The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,Where the birds build their nests, And the stork, whose home is the juniper trees.¶The high mountains are for the wild goats; The cliffs are a refuge for the rock hyrax.He made the moon for the seasons; The sun knows the place of its setting.Covering Yourself with light as with a cloak, Stretching out heaven like a tent curtain.You appoint darkness and it becomes night, In which all the animals of the forest prowl about. The young lions roar for their prey And seek their food from God. When the sun rises they withdraw, And they lie down in their dens.A person goes out to his work And to his labor until evening.¶Lord, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all; The earth is full of Your possessions. There is the sea, great and broad, In which are swarms without number, Animals both small and great.The ships move along there, And Leviathan, which You have formed to have fun in it. ¶They all wait for You To give them their food in due season. You give to them, they gather it up; You open Your hand, they are satisfied with good.You hide Your face, they are terrified; You take away their breath, they perish And return to their dust.He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters; He makes the clouds His chariot; He walks on the wings of the wind; You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the ground.¶May the glory of the Lord endure forever; May the Lord rejoice in His works;He looks at the earth, and it trembles; He touches the mountains, and they smoke.I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. May my praise be pleasing to Him; As for me, I shall rejoice in the Lord.May sinners be removed from the earth And may the wicked be no more. Bless the Lord, my soul. Praise the Lord!He makes the winds His messengers, Flaming fire His ministers. ¶He established the earth upon its foundations, So that it will not totter forever and ever.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
