I doe set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a couenant, betweene me and the earth. And it shall come to passe, when I bring a cloud ouer the earth, that the bow shall be seene in the cloud. And I will remember my couenant, which is betweene mee and you, and euery liuing creature of all flesh: and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
In that same day the LORD made a couenant with Abram, saying; Unto thy seed haue I giuen this land from the riuer of Egypt vnto the great riuer, the riuer Euphrates:
And I will establish my couenant betweene me and thee, and thy seede after thee, in their generations for an euerlasting couenant, to bee a God vnto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will giue vnto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an euerlasting possession, and I will be their God.
Now therfore if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keepe my couenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure vnto me aboue all people: for all the earth is mine. And ye shall be vnto me a kingdome of Priestes, and an holy nation. These are the wordes which thou shalt speake vnto the children of Israel.
And he tooke the booke of the couenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they saide, All that the Lord hath said, will we doe, and be obedient. And Moses tooke the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the Couenant which the Lord hath made with you, concerning all these words.
For I wil haue respect vnto you, and make you fruitfull, and multiply you, & establish my couenant with you.And yee shall eate old store, and bring forth the old, because of the new.And I will set my Tabernacle amongst you: and my soule shall not abhorre you.And I will walke among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.
Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithfull God, which keepeth Couenant and Mercy with them that loue him, and keepe his Commandements, to a thousand generations;
Not for thy righteousnesse, or for the vprightnesse of thine heart, doest thou goe to possesse their land: But for the wickednesse of these nations the Lord thy God doeth driue them out from before thee, and that he may performe the word which the Lord sware vnto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Iacob.
Keepe therefore the wordes of this Couenant and doe them, that yee may prosper in all that ye doe.
See, I haue set before thee this day, life and good, and death, and euill:In that I command thee this day to loue the Lord thy God, to walke in his wayes, and to keepe his Commandements, and his Statutes, and his Iudgements, that thou maiest liue and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall blesse thee in the land, whither thou goest to possesse it.
He hath remembred his couenant for euer: the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.Which couenant he made with Abraham, and his oath vnto Isaac:And confirmed the same vnto Iacob for a law: and to Israel for an euerlasting couenant:
For the mountaines shall depart, and the hilles be remoued, but my kindnesse shall not depart from thee, neither shall the couenant of my peace be remoued, saith the Lord, that hath mercie on thee.
For I the Lord loue Iudgement, I hate robbery for burnt offering, and I will direct their worke in trueth, and I will make an euerlasting Couenant with them.
Behold, the dayes come, saith the Lord, that I will make a newe couenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Iudah. Not according to the couenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I tooke them by the hand, to bring them out of the land of Egypt, which my couenant they brake, although I was an husband vnto them, saith the Lord. But this shall be the couenant, that I will make with the house of Israel, After those dayes, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and wil be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more euery man his neighbour, and euery man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know mee, from the least of them vnto the greatest of them, saith the Lord; for I will forgiue their iniquitie, and I will remember their sinne no more.
And I will make with them a couenant of peace, and will cause the euill beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wildernesse, and sleepe in the woods.
A new heart also will I giue you, and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take away the stonie heart out of your flesh, and I will giue you an heart of flesh. And I wil put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walke in my Statutes, and ye shall keepe my iudgements, and doe them.
My couenant was with him of life and peace, and I gaue them to him, for the feare, wherewith he feared mee, and was afraid before my name.
For this is my blood of the new Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sinnes.
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the New Testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministerie, by how much also he is the Mediatour of a better Couenant, which was established vpon better promises. For if that first Couenant had bene faultles, then should no place haue bene sought for the second.
And for this cause hee is the Mediatour of the New Testament, that by meanes of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were vnder the first Testament, they which are called, might receiue the promise of eternall inheritance.
This is the Couenant that I wil make with them after those dayes, saith the Lord: I will put my Lawes into their hearts, and in their mindes will I write them:And their sinnes and iniquities will I remember no more.
Now the LORD had said vnto Abram, Get thee out of thy countrey, and from thy kinred, and from thy fathers house, vnto a land that I will shew thee. And I will make of thee a great nation, and I wil blesse thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt bee a blessing. And I will blesse them that blesse thee, and curse him, that curseth thee: and in thee shal all families of the earth be blessed.
And when Abram was ninetie yeres old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said vnto him, I am the almightie God, walke before me, and be thou perfect. And I wil make my couenant betweene me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
And said, By my selfe haue I sworne, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy sonne, thine onely sonne,That in blessing I will blesse thee, and in multiplying, I will multiply thy seed as the starres of the heauen, and as the sand which is vpon the sea shore, and thy seed shall possesse the gate of his enemies. And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because thou hast obeyed my voice.
And the Lord said vnto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenour of these wordes, I haue made a couenant with thee, and with Israel. And hee was there with the Lord forty dayes and forty nights: he did neither eat bread, nor drinke water; and he wrote vpon the Tables the words of the couenant, the ten Commandements.
The Lord our God made a couenant with vs in Horeb. The Lord made not this couenant with our fathers, but with vs: euen vs, who are all of vs here aliue this day.
Which couenant he made with Abraham, and his oath vnto Isaac:And confirmed the same vnto Iacob for a law: and to Israel for an euerlasting couenant:
Gather my Saints together vnto mee: those that haue made a couenant with me, by sacrifice.
O Lord, thou art my God, I will exalt thee, I will praise thy Name; for thou hast done wonderfull things; thy counsels of old are faithfulnesse and trueth.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was vpon him, and with his stripes we are healed.
Moreouer I will make a couenant of peace with them, it shall be an euerlasting couenant wich them, and I will place them and multiply them, and will set my Sanctuary in the middest of them for euermore.
Thinke not that I am come to destroy the lawe or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say vnto you, Till heauen and earth passe, one iote or one title, shall in no wise passe from the law, till all be fulfilled.
For the promise that he should be the heire of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed through the Lawe, but through the righteousnesse of faith.
Brethren, I speake after the maner of men: though it be but a mans couenant, yet if it bee confirmed, no man disanulleth, or addeth thereto. Now to Abraham and his seede were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many, but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
And if yee be Christs, then are ye Abrahams seed, and heires according to the promise.
But the mercy of the Lord is from euerlasting to euerlasting vpon them that feare him: and his righteousnesse vnto childrens children:
For thus saith the Lord vnto the Eunuches that keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that please mee, and take hold of my couenant:Euen vnto them will I giue in mine house, and within my walles, a place and a name better then of sonnes and of daughters: I wil giue them an euerlasting name, that shal not be cut off.
And this day shall be vnto you for a memoriall: and you shall keepe in a feast to the Lord, throughout your generations: you shall keepe it a feast by an ordinance for euer.
And he said, Behold, I make a couenant: before all thy people, I wil doe marueiles, such as haue not beene done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people amongst which thou art, shall see the worke of the Lord: for it is a terrible thing that I will doe with thee.
Take heed vnto your selues, lest ye forget the couenant of the Lord your God, which hee made with you, and make you a grauen image, or the likenes of any thing which the Lord thy God hath forbidden thee. For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, euen a iealous God.
Wherefore it shal come to passe, if ye hearken to these iudgements, and keepe and do them: That the Lord thy God shall keepe vnto thee the Couenant and the Mercy which he sware vnto thy fathers. And hee will loue thee, and blesse thee, and multiply thee: Hee will also blesse the fruit of thy wombe, and the fruit of thy land, thy corne, and thy wine, and thine oile, the encrease of thy kine, and the flockes of thy sheepe, in the land which hee sware vnto thy fathers to giue thee.
The Lord shall establish thee an holy people vnto himselfe, as hee hath sworne vnto thee, if thou shalt keepe the Commaundements of the Lord thy God, and walke in his wayes. And all people of the earth shall see, that thou art called by the Name of the Lord, and they shall bee afraid of thee.
All the pathes of the Lord are mercy and truth: vnto such as keepe his couenant, and his testimonies.
Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time haue I heard thee, and in a day of saluation haue I helped thee: and I will preserue thee, and giue thee for a couenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherite the desolate heritages:
But this shall be the couenant, that I will make with the house of Israel, After those dayes, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and wil be their God, and they shall be my people.
Neuerthelesse I will remember my couenant with thee in the dayes of thy youth, and I will establish vnto thee an euerlasting couenant.
I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbidde. For I also am an Israelite of the seede of Abraham, of the tribe of Beniamin.God hath not cast away his people which hee foreknew. Wote yee not what the Scripture saieth of Elias? How hee maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
For finding fault with them, hee saith, Behold, the dayes come (saith the Lord) when I will make a new couenant with the house of Israel, and the house of Iudah. Not according to the Couenant that I made with their fathers, in the day when I tooke them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they continued not in my Couenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the Couenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those dayes, saith the Lord: I wil put my Lawes into their minde, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shalbe to me a people.
The booke of the generation of Iesus Christ, the sonne of Dauid, the sonne of Abraham.Abraham begate Isaac, and Isaac begate Iacob, and Iacob begate Iudas and his brethren. And Iudas begate Phares and Zara of Thamar, and Phares begate Esrom, and Esrom begate Aram. And Aram begate Aminadab, and Aminadab begate Naasson, and Naasson begate Salmon. And Salmon begat Boos of Rachab, and Boos begate Obed of Ruth, and Obed begate Iesse. And Iesse begate Dauid the King, & Dauid the King begat Solomon of her that had bin the wife of Urias. And Solomon begat Roboam, and Roboam begate Abia, and Abia begate Asa.And Asa begate Iosaphat, and Iosaphat begate Ioram, and Ioram begate Ozias. And Ozias begat Ioatham, and Ioatham begate Achas, and Achas begate Ezekias. And Ezekias begate Manasses, and Manasses begate Amon, and Amon begate Iosias. And Iosias begate Iechonias and his brethren, about the time they were caried away to Babylon. And after they were brought to Babylon, Iechonias begat Salathiel, and Salathiel begate Zorobabel. And Zorobabel begat Abiud, and Abiud begat Eliakim, and Eliakim begate Azor. And Azor begat Sadoc, & Sadoc begat Achim, and Achim begat Eliud. And Eliud begate Eleazar, and Eleazar begate Matthan, and Matthan begate Iacob. And Iacob begate Ioseph the husband of Mary, of whom was borne Iesus, who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to Dauid, are fourteene generations: and from Dauid vntill the carying away into Babylon, are foureteene generations: and from the carying away into Babylon vnto Christ, are fourteene generations.
To performe the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy Couenant,The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
Yee are the children of the Prophets, and of the couenant which God made with our fathers, saying vnto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kinreds of the earth be blessed.
Who are Israelites: to whom perteineth the adoption, and the glory, and the couenants, and the giuing of the Law, and the seruice of God, and the promises:Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is ouer all, God blessed for euer, Amen.
For all the promises of God in him are Yea, and in him Amen, vnto the glory of God by vs.
For as many as are of the works of the lawe, are vnder the curse: for it is written, Cursed is euery one that continueth not in all things which are written in the booke of the Law to doe them. But that no man is iustified by the Lawe in the sight of God, it is euident: for, The iust shall liue by faith. And the Law is not of faith: but the man that doeth them, shall liue in them.Christ hath redeemed vs from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for vs: for it is written, Cursed is euery one that hangeth on tree:That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles, through Iesus Christ: that wee might receiue the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Then verily the first Couenant had also ordinances of diuine Seruice, and a worldly Sanctuary.
The holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the Holiest of all, was not yet made manifest, while as the first Tabernacle was yet standing:Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offred both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the seruice perfect, as pertayning to the conscience,
And the Lord hath auouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keepe all his Commaundements:
He sheweth his word vnto Iacob: his statutes and his iudgements vnto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his iudgements, they haue not knowen them. Praise yee the Lord.
And behold, the LORD stood aboue it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I giue it, and to thy seede. And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the West, and to the East, and to the North, and to the South: and in thee, and in thy seed, shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And behold, I am with thee, and will keepe thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee againe into this land: for I will not leaue thee, vntill I haue done that which I haue spoken to thee of.
And God said, Sarah thy wife shall beare thee a sonne in deede, and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my couenant with him, for an euerlasting couenant, and with his seed after him.
I call heauen and earth to record this day against you, that I haue set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may liue:That thou maiest loue the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voyce, and that thou mayest cleaue vnto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy dayes, that thou mayest dwell in the land, which the Lord sware vnto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Iacob, to giue them.
But chose the tribe of Iudah: the mount Sion which he loued. And he built his sanctuarie like high palaces: like the earth which he hath established for euer.
As for me, this is my couenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is vpon thee, and my words which I haue put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of the seede, nor out of the mouth of thy seedes seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth, and for euer.
And I the Lord will be their God, and my seruant Dauid a prince among them, I the Lord haue spoken it.
But I say vnto you, I will not drinke henceforth of this fruite of the vine, vntill that day when I drinke it new with you in my fathers kingdom.
Blessed bee the Lord God of Israel, for hee hath visited and redeemed his people,And hath raised vp an horne of saluation for vs, in the house of his seruant Dauid,
For the promise is vnto you, and to your children, and to all that are afarre off, euen as many as the Lord our God shall call.
For there is no difference betweene the Iew and the Greeke: for the same Lord ouer all, is rich vnto all, that call vpon him.For whosoeuer shall call vpon the Name of the Lord, shall be saued.
But yee are a chosen generation, a royall Priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that yee should shewe forth the praises of him, who hath called you out of darknes into his marueilous light:
And I wil establish my couenant with you, neither shal all flesh be cut off any more, by the waters of a flood, neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
As for me, behold, my couenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall bee Abraham: for a father of many nations haue I made thee.
Which made heauen and earth, the Sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth trueth for euer:
Therefore will I diuide him a portion with the great, and he shall diuide the spoile with the strong: because hee hath powred out his soule vnto death: and he was numbred with the transgressours, and he bare the sinne of many, and made intercession for the transgressours.
Thus saith the Lord; If you can breake my couenant of the day, and my couenant of the night, and that there should not be day, and night in their season:Then may also my couenant bee broken with Dauid my seruant, that he should not haue a sonne to reigne vpon his throne; and with the Leuites the priests my ministers.
And I wil giue them one heart, and I wil put a new spirit within you: and I will take the stonie heart out of their flesh, and will giue them an heart of flesh,
Therefore it is of faith, that it might bee by grace; to the ende the promise might be sure to all the seede, not to that onely which is of the Law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of vs all,
Brethren, I speake after the maner of men: though it be but a mans couenant, yet if it bee confirmed, no man disanulleth, or addeth thereto.
But when the fulnes of the time was come, God sent foorth his Sonne made of a woman, made vnder the Law,To redeeme them that were vnder the Law, that we might receiue the adoption of sonnes.
To such as keepe his couenant: and to those that remember his commandements to doe them.
Thinke not that I am come to destroy the lawe or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
This is the Couenant that I wil make with them after those dayes, saith the Lord: I will put my Lawes into their hearts, and in their mindes will I write them:
And the Lord said vnto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenour of these wordes, I haue made a couenant with thee, and with Israel.
And because he loued thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mightie power out of Egypt:To driue out nations from before thee, greater and mightier then thou art, to bring thee in, to giue thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.
If his children forsake my lawe, and walke not in my iudgements; If they breake my statutes, and keepe not my commandements:Then will I visite their transgression with the rod, and their iniquitie with stripes.
Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies, and thy louing kindnesses: for they haue beene euer of old.Remember not the sinnes of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercie remember thou me, for thy goodnesse sake, O Lord.
And so all Israel shall be saued, as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliuerer, and shall turne away vngodlinesse from Iacob. For this is my couenant vnto them, when I shall take away their sinnes.
[A song of degrees of Dauid.] Behold how good and how pleasant it is: for brethren to dwell together in vnitie.
To him that smote Egypt in their first borne: for his mercy endureth for euer. And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for euer. With a strong hand and with a stretched out arme: for his mercy endureth for euer.
Behold, my seruant whom I haue chosen, my beloued in whom my soule is well pleased: I will put my spirit vpon him, and he shall shew iudgement to the Gentiles.
For as much as ye know that yee were not redeemed with corruptible things, as siluer and golde, from your vaine conuersation receiued by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lambe without blemish and without spot,
He sent redemption vnto his people, hee hath commanded his couenant for euer: holy and reuerend is his Name.
Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him, he hath put him to griefe: when thou shalt make his soule an offring for sinne, he shall see his seede, hee shall prolong his daies, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.He shall see of the trauell of his soule, and shalbe satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous seruant iustifie many: for hee shall beare their iniquities.
But goe ye and learne what that meaneth, I will haue mercy and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
All the ends of the world shall remember, and turne vnto the Lord: and all the kinreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
Therefore being iustified by faith, wee haue peace with God, through our Lord Iesus Christ.By whom also wee haue accesse by faith, into this grace wherein wee stand, and reioyce in hope of the glory of God.
He hath remembred his couenant for euer: the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious: long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and trueth.
Let not mercy and trueth forsake thee: bind them about thy necke, write them vpon the table of thine heart. So shalt thou find fauour, and good vnderstanding in the sight of God, and man.
Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time haue I heard thee, and in a day of saluation haue I helped thee: and I will preserue thee, and giue thee for a couenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherite the desolate heritages:That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Goe forth; to them that are in darkenesse, Shewe your selues: they shall feede in the wayes, and their pastures shalbe in all high places.
And ye shall dwel in the land that I gaue to your fathers, and ye shall be my people, and I wil be your God.
For the Lord is good, his mercy is euerlasting: and his trueth endureth to all generations.
And let vs not bee weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reape, if we faint not.
Hee hath made his wonderfull works to be remembred: the Lord is gracious, and full of compassion.
For I will powre water vpon him that is thirstie, and floods vpon the dry ground: I will powre my spirit vpon thy seede, and my blessing vpon thine offspring:
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his fauour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but ioy commeth in the morning.
Aske, and it shalbe giuen you: seeke, and ye shall finde: knocke, and it shalbe opened vnto you.For euery one that asketh, receiueth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shalbe opened.
For I am not ashamed of the Gopel of Christ: for it is the power of God vnto saluation, to euery one that beleeueth, to the Iew first, and also to the Greeke. For therein is the righteousnesse of God reueiled from faith to faith: as it is written, The iust shall liue by faith.
Thy faithfulnesse is vnto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
For thus saith the High and loftie One that inhabiteth eternitie, whose Name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place: with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to reuiue the spirit of the humble, and to reuiue the heart of the contrite ones.
The Law of the Lord is perfect, conuerting the soule: the testimonie of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The Statutes of the Lord are right, reioycing the heart: the Commandement of the Lord is pure, inlightning the eyes. The feare of the Lord is cleane, enduring for euer: the Iudgements of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether.More to bee desired are they then gold, yea, then much fine gold: sweeter also then hony, and the hony combe.
But seeke ye first the kingdome of God, and his righteousnesse, and all these things shalbe added vnto you.
Now the God of peace, that brought againe from the dead our Lord Iesus, that great shepheard of the sheepe, through the blood of the euerlasting Couenant,Make you perfect in euery good worke to doe his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Iesus Christ, to whom be glorie for euer and euer. Amen.
And I will delight my selfe in thy commandements, which I haue loued. My hands also will I lift vp vnto thy commandements, which I haue loued: and I will meditate in thy statutes.
I will worship towards thy holy temple, and praise thy name, for thy louing kindnesse and for thy trueth: for thou hast magnified thy word aboue all thy name.
Feare thou not, for I am with thee: be not dismaied, for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee, yea I will helpe thee, yea I will vphold thee with the right hand of my righteousnesse.
And as Iesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man named Matthew, sitting at the receite of custome: and he saith vnto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.And it came to passe, as Iesus sate at meate in the house, behold, many publicanes and sinners, came and sate downe with him and his Disciples.
My couenant will I not breake: nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lippes.Once haue I sworne by my holinesse; that I will not lye vnto Dauid.
Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel which are of Israel:
Yee are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my seruant whom I haue chosen: that ye may know and beleeue me, and vnderstand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
And hee remembred for them his couenant: and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
Hee staggered not at the promise of God through vnbeliefe: but was strong in faith, giuing glory to God:
The Lord wil perfit that which concerneth me: thy mercie, O Lord, endureth for euer: forsake not the works of thine owne hands.
Blesse the Lord, O my soule, O Lord my God, thou art very great: thou art clothed with honour and maiestie.Who couerest thy selfe with light, as with a garment: who stretchest out the heauens like a curtaine.Who layeth the beames of his chambers in the waters, who maketh the cloudes his charet: who walketh vpon the wings of the wind.Who maketh his Angels spirits: his ministers a flaming fire.Who laid the foundations of the earth: that it should not be remoued for euer.
But the fruit of the spirit is loue, ioy, peace, long suffering, gentlenesse, goodnesse, faith,Meekenesse, temperance: against such there is no law.
