Food is something I think about a lot, and it's all over the Bible too. Right from the beginning, in Genesis, it talks about fruits and plants as nourishment. There's a lot in the Old Testament about which foods are okay to eat and which aren't.
I'm also really struck by how many times in the New Testament Jesus shares meals with his followers. It feels like such a powerful image of connection and community. And the idea of treating our bodies like temples of the Holy Spirit– that really makes me think about what I'm putting into mine.
It's like food isn't just about keeping us going physically, you know? It's a way to connect with God and with each other. It's something to be mindful of and grateful for.

And Moses said unto them, It is the bread which Jehovah hath given you to eat.
