VERSES TO MEMORIZE

Memorizing Bible verses is a great way to stay grounded and prepared with God's Word, no matter what you're going through. It's like having a handy toolkit filled with wisdom and comfort right at your fingertips.

Think about it: you could share a verse about God's love when a friend needs encouragement, or recall one about patience while waiting in a long line at the DMV. It's all about weaving God's truth into the fabric of your everyday life.

If you spend a little time each day working on memorization, it'll become so much easier to remember scripture when you need it most. It's like building a spiritual muscle, one verse at a time.

As Joshua 1:8 says, "Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." That's a powerful promise, and memorization helps bring it to life.

a wise man will listen and increase his learning, and a discerning man will obtain guidance —

Wisdom is supreme — so get wisdom. And whatever else you get, get understanding.

The mind of the discerning acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks it.

Teach me good judgment and discernment, for I rely on Your commands.

because wisdom is protection as money is protection, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of its owner.

For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with My eye on you, I will give counsel.

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.

Instruct a wise man, and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man, and he will learn more.

Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.

For whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that we may have hope through endurance and through the encouragement from the Scriptures.

Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, and singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.

The wise store up knowledge, but the mouth of the fool hastens destruction.

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk — not as unwise people but as wise —making the most of the time, because the days are evil.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.

The revelation of Your words brings light and gives understanding to the inexperienced.

All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.

because God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength.

Open my eyes so that I may contemplate wonderful things from Your instruction.

Who is he trying to teach? Who is he trying to instruct? Infants just weaned from milk? Babies removed from the breast?

Do what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.

A discerning mind seeks knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.

How I love Your instruction! It is my meditation all day long.

Although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the basic principles of God’s revelation again. You need milk, not solid food.Now everyone who lives on milk is inexperienced with the message about righteousness, because he is an infant.But solid food is for the mature — for those whose senses have been trained to distinguish between good and evil.

But beyond these, my son, be warned: there is no end to the making of many books, and much study wearies the body.

Hold on to instruction; don’t let go. Guard it, for it is your life.

He said to mankind, “The fear of the Lord is this: wisdom. And to turn from evil is understanding.”

Teach a youth about the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Our Lord is great, vast in power; His understanding is infinite.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God.

Get wisdom — how much better it is than gold! And get understanding — it is preferable to silver.

Instruction from Your lips is better for me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? Yahweh is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth. He never grows faint or weary; there is no limit to His understanding.He gives strength to the weary and strengthens the powerless.A voice of one crying out: Prepare the way of the Lord in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.Youths may faint and grow weary, and young men stumble and fall,but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.

“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock.The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock.

I said to myself, “This happens concerning people, so that God may test them and they may see for themselves that they are like animals.”For the fate of people and the fate of animals is the same. As one dies, so dies the other; they all have the same breath. People have no advantage over animals since everything is futile.

The instruction of the Lord is perfect, renewing one’s life; the testimony of the Lord is trustworthy, making the inexperienced wise.The precepts of the Lord are right, making the heart glad; the command of the Lord is radiant, making the eyes light up.

A wise warrior is better than a strong one, and a man of knowledge than one of strength;

The one who walks with the wise will become wise, but a companion of fools will suffer harm.

Now the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will personally restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little.

Make Your ways known to me, Lord; teach me Your paths.Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; I wait for You all day long.

Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows he will also reap,

How sweet Your word is to my taste — sweeter than honey in my mouth.

So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.For it is God who is working in you, enabling you both to desire and to work out His good purpose.

Learn to do what is good. Seek justice. Correct the oppressor. Defend the rights of the fatherless. Plead the widow’s cause.

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but one who hates correction is stupid.

The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom; his tongue speaks what is just.The instruction of his God is in his heart; his steps do not falter.

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God’s glory.

We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.

I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Listen to counsel and receive instruction so that you may be wise later in life.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without favoritism and hypocrisy.

Set your minds on what is above, not on what is on the earth.

Practice these things; be committed to them, so that your progress may be evident to all.

Help me understand Your instruction, and I will obey it and follow it with all my heart.

Anyone with a wise heart is called discerning, and pleasant speech increases learning.

so that you won’t become lazy but will be imitators of those who inherit the promises through faith and perseverance.

There is gold and a multitude of jewels, but knowledgeable lips are a rare treasure.

I have Your decrees as a heritage forever; indeed, they are the joy of my heart.

My brothers, I myself am convinced about you that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to instruct one another.

Plans fail when there is no counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.

Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who comes from God, so that we may understand what has been freely given to us by God.

All Your commands are true; people persecute me with lies — help me!

Since we live by the Spirit, we must also follow the Spirit.

and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ.

Accept my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold.For wisdom is better than jewels, and nothing desirable can compare with it.

The anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you don’t need anyone to teach you. Instead, His anointing teaches you about all things and is true and is not a lie; just as He has taught you, remain in Him.

Then the eyes of those who see will not be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen.The reckless mind will gain knowledge, and the stammering tongue will speak clearly and fluently.

Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are blessed, for they will be filled.

Let the righteous one strike me — it is an act of faithful love; let him rebuke me — it is oil for my head; let me not refuse it. Even now my prayer is against the evil acts of the wicked.

Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship.

Wisdom makes the wise man stronger than ten rulers of a city.

furthermore, if you call out to insight and lift your voice to understanding,if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure,then you will understand the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God.

Happy is the one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God,

Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, avoiding irreverent, empty speech and contradictions from the “knowledge” that falsely bears that name.By professing it, some people have deviated from the faith. Grace be with all of you.

Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable — if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise — dwell on these things.

A wise son responds to his father’s discipline, but a mocker doesn’t listen to rebuke.

All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him.

I have sought Your favor with all my heart; be gracious to me according to Your promise.

For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse.

He revealed His ways to Moses, His deeds to the people of Israel.

A rod of correction imparts wisdom, but a youth left to himself is a disgrace to his mother.

So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.

For with much wisdom is much sorrow; as knowledge increases, grief increases.

The inexperienced one believes anything, but the sensible one watches his steps.

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.

You are near, Lord, and all Your commands are true.

So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.

At night I remember my music; I meditate in my heart, and my spirit ponders.

No one should deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks he is wise in this age, he must become foolish so that he can become wise.For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, since it is written: He catches the wise in their craftiness;

I praise You seven times a day for Your righteous judgments.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

I love You, Lord, my strength.

No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. I will be with you, just as I was with Moses. I will not leave you or forsake you.

and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

So the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness, and he was called God’s friend.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I will thank Yahweh with all my heart; I will declare all Your wonderful works.

But He answered, “It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

Let everything that breathes praise the Lord. Hallelujah!

“I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another.

I will praise the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

My soul, praise Yahweh, and all that is within me, praise His holy name.
