VERSES ABOUT JOY

Think about it: the joy of the Lord doesn't just fill you with strength, it brings us all together. It's a joy that's not meant to be kept to yourself; it needs to be shared. Just like the Israelites were instructed to celebrate and share what they had with each other, you can spread the joy of the Lord with everyone you know.

This joy challenges you to love your neighbor and share the Gospel. When your heart is joyful in God, you are strong and empowered to spread that joy throughout your community. It's a lasting joy, something no one can take away.

Psalm 98:4-6 says, "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the Lord, the King." You can find so many verses like this that talk about the joy of our God.

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

Rejoice always,pray without ceasing,in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.

Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!”

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy,

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.

Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph!

And in that day you will say: “O Lord, I will praise You; Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

That I may tell of all Your praise In the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in Your salvation.

The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; For Your law is my delight.

When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for by faith you stand.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen.

Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”

A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!

but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.

Prayer
