VERSES ABOUT JOY

Think about it: the joy of the Lord doesn't just fill you with strength, it brings us all together. It's a joy that's not meant to be kept to yourself; it needs to be shared. Just like the Israelites were instructed to celebrate and share what they had with each other, you can spread the joy of the Lord with everyone you know.

This joy challenges you to love your neighbor and share the Gospel. When your heart is joyful in God, you are strong and empowered to spread that joy throughout your community. It's a lasting joy, something no one can take away.

Psalm 98:4-6 says, "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the Lord, the King." You can find so many verses like this that talk about the joy of our God.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!

You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

Then he said to them, “Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord has done great things for us; We are glad.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.

Rejoice always;pray without ceasing;in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing.

Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.

and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

Cry aloud and shout for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, For great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.

This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

A joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror;for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless.Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul.

through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;

For you will go out with joy And be led forth with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.

Be glad in the Lord, you righteous ones, And give thanks to His holy name.

Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.

always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all,

My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You; And my soul, which You have redeemed.

And my soul shall rejoice in the Lord; It shall exult in His salvation.

Shout for joy, O heavens! And rejoice, O earth! Break forth into joyful shouting, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people And will have compassion on His afflicted.

But let all who take refuge in You be glad, Let them ever sing for joy; And may You shelter them, That those who love Your name may exult in You.

speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;

I have inherited Your testimonies forever, For they are the joy of my heart.

Splendor and majesty are before Him, Strength and joy are in His place.

How blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! O Lord, they walk in the light of Your countenance.In Your name they rejoice all the day, And by Your righteousness they are exalted.

For You make him most blessed forever; You make him joyful with gladness in Your presence.

The hope of the righteous is gladness, But the expectation of the wicked perishes.

so that I may come to you in joy by the will of God and find refreshing rest in your company.

Let the godly ones exult in glory; Let them sing for joy on their beds.

But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.You too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.

And the ransomed of the Lord will return And come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

That I may tell of all Your praises, That in the gates of the daughter of Zion I may rejoice in Your salvation.

The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will extol Him.

May Your compassion come to me that I may live, For Your law is my delight.

And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

Not that we lord it over your faith, but are workers with you for your joy; for in your faith you are standing firm.

Let Mount Zion be glad, Let the daughters of Judah rejoice Because of Your judgments.

For You have been my help, And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.

Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

And they, after worshiping Him, returned to Jerusalem with great joy,and were continually in the temple praising God.

and yet He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.”

A man has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word!

but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation.

You also became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much tribulation with the joy of the Holy Spirit,
