VERSES ABOUT JOY

Think about it: the joy of the Lord doesn't just fill you with strength, it brings us all together. It's a joy that's not meant to be kept to yourself; it needs to be shared. Just like the Israelites were instructed to celebrate and share what they had with each other, you can spread the joy of the Lord with everyone you know.

This joy challenges you to love your neighbor and share the Gospel. When your heart is joyful in God, you are strong and empowered to spread that joy throughout your community. It's a lasting joy, something no one can take away.

Psalm 98:4-6 says, "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the Lord, the King." You can find so many verses like this that talk about the joy of our God.

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

You will show me the path of life. In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared, for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

For His anger endures but for a moment; His favor is for a lifetime; weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith,meekness, and self-control; against such there is no law.

I have spoken these things to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer,

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous ones; and shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart!

Rejoice always.Pray without ceasing.In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with singing.

Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

whom, having not seen, you love; and in whom, though you do not see Him now, you believe and you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory,receiving as the result of your faith the salvation of your souls.

Cry out and shout for joy, O inhabitant of Zion. For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst.

This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

A heart of cheer does good like a medicine, but a wounded spirit dries up the bones.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

For the kingdom of God does not mean eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Let every man give according to the purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

You have placed gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and new wine abound.

Though the fig tree does not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the yield of the olive fails, and the fields produce no food; though the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls—yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the God of my salvation.

In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

through whom we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and so we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.But the law entered, so that sin might increase, but where sin increased, grace abounded much more,so that just as sin reigned in death, grace might reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.Not only so, but we also boast in tribulation, knowing that tribulation produces patience,

Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! Praise is becoming to the upright.

Restore unto me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with Your willing spirit.

Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name!

And continuing daily with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

In every prayer of mine for you all, I have always made requests with joy,

My lips will greatly rejoice when I sing to You, and my soul, which You have redeemed.

Your testimonies have I taken as my heritage forever, for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy are in His place.

Blessed are the people who know the joyful shout. They walk, O  Lord, in the light of Your countenance.In Your name they rejoice all day long, and in Your righteousness they are exalted.

For You have made him most blessed forever; You have made him glad with the joy of Your presence.

Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.

Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but joy comes to the counselors of peace.

and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.

Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!

Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices; my flesh also will rest secure.

Clap your hands, all you people! Shout to God with a voice of triumph.

And in that day you shall say: O  Lord, I will praise You; though You were angry with me, Your anger has turned away, and You comforted me.

We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

that I may recount all Your praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion, that I may rejoice in Your salvation.

The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him; my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; for Your law is my delight.

When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. The disciples were then glad when they saw the Lord.

Not that we have dominion over your faith, but we are fellow workers for your joy, for by faith you stand.

Let Mount Zion rejoice; let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of Your judgments.

for You have been my help. Therefore in the shadow of Your wings will I rejoice.

Having this confidence, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your joyful advancement of the faith,

There you must eat before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, where the Lord your God has blessed you.

Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no change or shadow of turning.

Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises.For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with understanding.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

Then they worshipped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

Yet He did not leave Himself without witness, for He did good and gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying our hearts with food and gladness.”

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the congregation of the saints.

Let them exalt Him in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

I will give You thanks, O  Lord, with all my heart; before the gods will I sing Your praise.I will bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and for Your truth, for You have magnified above all things Your name and Your word.

If Your law had not been my delight, I would then have perished in my affliction.

“His master said to him, ‘Well done, you good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things. I will make you ruler over many things. Enter the joy of your master.’

A man has joy in the apt reply of his mouth, and a timely word spoken, how good it is!

But rejoice insofar as you share in Christ’s sufferings, so that you may rejoice and be glad also in the revelation of His glory.

You became followers of us and the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer
