Surely God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and my might; he has become my salvation. With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy,for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my whole being shall exult in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more surely, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life. But more than that, we even boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death came through sin, and so death spread to all because all have sinned—sin was indeed in the world before the law, but sin is not reckoned when there is no law.Yet death exercised dominion from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sins were not like the transgression of Adam, who is a type of the one who was to come. But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died through the one man's trespass, much more surely have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abounded for the many. And the free gift is not like the effect of the one man's sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brings justification. If, because of the one man's trespass, death exercised dominion through that one, much more surely will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness exercise dominion in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. Therefore just as one man's trespass led to condemnation for all, so one man's act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all.For just as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.
I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.
Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

It will be said on that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, so that he might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
The Lord is my strength and my might; he has become my salvation.There are glad songs of victory in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of the Lord does valiantly;
Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Tell of his salvation from day to day.Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.
Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it; shout, O depths of the earth; break forth into singing, O mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and will be glorified in Israel.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”The Lord has done great things for us, and we rejoiced.
Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart.
By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness,

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions of them to those for whom nothing is prepared, for this day is holy to our Lord; and do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for in spite of persecution you received the word with joy inspired by the Holy Spirit,
Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. Let those who love your salvation say evermore, “God is great!”
And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,so that my soul may praise you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever.
But more than that, we even boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
What does it matter? Just this, that Christ is proclaimed in every way, whether out of false motives or true; and in that I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,
You have made known to me the ways of life; you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’
Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him. Let all the upright in heart glory.
But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, so that those who love your name may exult in you.
Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord has comforted his people, and will have compassion on his suffering ones.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
But let the righteous be joyful; let them exult before God; let them be jubilant with joy.
The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in his love; he will exult over you with loud singing
You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old shall be merry. I will turn their mourning into joy, I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.
But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation say continually, “Great is the Lord!”
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved.
For his anger is but for a moment; his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning.
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger who announces peace, who brings good news, who announces salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”Listen! Your sentinels lift up their voices, together they sing for joy; for in plain sight they see the return of the Lord to Zion.Break forth together into singing, you ruins of Jerusalem; for the Lord has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.
Hannah prayed and said, “My heart exults in the Lord; my strength is exalted in my God. My mouth derides my enemies, because I rejoice in my victory.
My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have rescued.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.
For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy.
Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
to provide for those who mourn in Zion— to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display his glory.
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. SelahAs smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, let the wicked perish before God.Our God is a God of salvation, and to God, the Lord, belongs escape from death.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God—not the result of works, so that no one may boast.
We have this hope, a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters the inner shrine behind the curtain,
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; our God is merciful. The Lord protects the simple; when I was brought low, he saved me.Return, O my soul, to your rest, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!
Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace— in peace because they trust in you.Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord God you have an everlasting rock.
I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever. For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.
He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.
and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.Put no confidence in extortion, and set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, do not set your heart on them.Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God,and steadfast love belongs to you, O Lord. For you repay to all according to their work.He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall never be shaken.
And you will say in that day: Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known his deeds among the nations; proclaim that his name is exalted.Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be known in all the earth.
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.
Therefore, my friends, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus,Otherwise, would they not have ceased being offered, since the worshipers, cleansed once for all, would no longer have any consciousness of sin?by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain (that is, through his flesh),
I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. The young lions suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.Come, O children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.Which of you desires life, and covets many days to enjoy good?Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.The face of the Lord is against evildoers, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescues them from them all.My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad.He keeps all their bones; not one of them will be broken.Evil brings death to the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.
He brought them up into the house and set food before them; and he and his entire household rejoiced that he had become a believer in God.
If, because of the one man's trespass, death exercised dominion through that one, much more surely will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness exercise dominion in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
Very truly, I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come under judgment, but has passed from death to life.
it is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God,and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ—if, in fact, we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, no evil shall befall you, no scourge come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.On their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder, the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot. Those who love me, I will deliver; I will protect those who know my name. When they call to me, I will answer them; I will be with them in trouble, I will rescue them and honor them. With long life I will satisfy them, and show them my salvation.will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”
And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.
Consequently he is able for all time to save those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
What shall I return to the Lord for all his bounty to me?I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord,
In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and had believed in him, were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit;this is the pledge of our inheritance toward redemption as God's own people, to the praise of his glory.
Light dawns for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous, and give thanks to his holy name!
For you shall go out in joy, and be led back in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall burst into song, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.
But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. You are my witnesses, says the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior.I declared and saved and proclaimed, when there was no strange god among you; and you are my witnesses, says the Lord.I am God, and also henceforth I am He; there is no one who can deliver from my hand; I work and who can hinder it?Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I will send to Babylon and break down all the bars, and the shouting of the Chaldeans will be turned to lamentation. I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King. Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters, who brings out chariot and horse, army and warrior; they lie down, they cannot rise, they are extinguished, quenched like a wick:Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old.I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.The wild animals will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches; for I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people, the people whom I formed for myself so that they might declare my praise.Yet you did not call upon me, O Jacob; but you have been weary of me, O Israel! You have not brought me your sheep for burnt offerings, or honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, or wearied you with frankincense. You have not bought me sweet cane with money, or satisfied me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened me with your sins; you have wearied me with your iniquities.I, I am He who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.Accuse me, let us go to trial; set forth your case, so that you may be proved right.Your first ancestor sinned, and your interpreters transgressed against me.Therefore I profaned the princes of the sanctuary, I delivered Jacob to utter destruction, and Israel to reviling. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in exchange for you.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people:to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.
I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory about to be revealed to us.
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises.Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody.
Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.
But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God,who were born, not of blood or of the will of the flesh or of the will of man, but of God.
The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some think of slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.
They rise in the darkness as a light for the upright; they are gracious, merciful, and righteous. It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice. For the righteous will never be moved; they will be remembered forever. They are not afraid of evil tidings; their hearts are firm, secure in the Lord.
who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,
I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.
O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they do not regard my ways.”Therefore in my anger I swore, “They shall not enter my rest.”Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and shield. Our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name.Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.
who are being protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides upon the clouds — his name is the Lord— be exultant before him.Father of orphans and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.God gives the desolate a home to live in; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious live in a parched land.
and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.The children of God and the children of the devil are revealed in this way: all who do not do what is right are not from God, nor are those who do not love their brothers and sisters. For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. We must not be like Cain who was from the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother's righteous.Do not be astonished, brothers and sisters, that the world hates you.We know that we have passed from death to life because we love one another. Whoever does not love abides in death. All who hate a brother or sister are murderers, and you know that murderers do not have eternal life abiding in them.We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another. How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help? Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action. And by this we will know that we are from the truth and will reassure our hearts before himBeloved, we are God's children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is.
I will sing of your steadfast love, O Lord, forever; with my mouth I will proclaim your faithfulness to all generations.
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.”
He who rescued us from so deadly a peril will continue to rescue us; on him we have set our hope that he will rescue us again,
Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed me, not only in my presence, but much more now in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;for it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, so that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.
For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His authority shall grow continually, and there shall be endless peace for the throne of David and his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time onward and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.
