Restore the joy of your salvation to me, and provide me with a spirit of willing obedience.

Although you have never seen Christ, you love him. You don’t see him now, but you believe in him. You are extremely happy with joy and praise that can hardly be expressed in wordsas you obtain the salvation that is the goal of your faith.

Adam is an image of the one who would come.There is no comparison between ⌞God’s⌟ gift and ⌞Adam’s⌟ failure. If humanity died as the result of one person’s failure, it is certainly true that God’s kindness and the gift given through the kindness of one person, Jesus Christ, have been showered on humanity. There is also no comparison between ⌞God’s⌟ gift and the one who sinned. The verdict which followed one person’s failure condemned everyone. But, even after many failures, the gift brought God’s approval.It is certain that death ruled because of one person’s failure. It’s even more certain that those who receive God’s overflowing kindness and the gift of his approval will rule in life because of one person, Jesus Christ.Therefore, everyone was condemned through one failure, and everyone received God’s life-giving approval through one verdict.Clearly, through one person’s disobedience humanity became sinful, and through one person’s obedience humanity will receive God’s approval.Through Christ we can approach God and stand in his favor. So we brag because of our confidence that we will receive glory from God.
I have told you this so that you will be as joyful as I am, and your joy will be complete.
However, don’t be happy that evil spirits obey you. Be happy that your names are written in heaven.”
so that I may recite your praises one by one in the gates of Zion and find joy in your salvation.
On that day ⌞his people⌟ will say, “This is our God; we have waited for him, and now he will save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him. Let us rejoice and be glad because he will save us.”

Righteous people will find joy in the Lord and take refuge in him. Everyone whose motives are decent will be able to brag.
But let all who take refuge in you rejoice. Let them sing with joy forever. Protect them, and let those who love your name triumph in you.
Sing with joy, you heavens! Rejoice, you earth! Break into shouts of joy, you mountains! The Lord has comforted his people and will have compassion on his humble people.
Rejoice and be glad because you have a great reward in heaven! The prophets who lived before you were persecuted in these ways.
But let righteous people rejoice. Let them celebrate in God’s presence. Let them overflow with joy.
The Lord your God is with you. He is a hero who saves you. He happily rejoices over you, renews you with his love, and celebrates over you with shouts of joy.
You make the path of life known to me. Complete joy is in your presence. Pleasures are by your side forever.
The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusted him, so I received help. My heart is triumphant; I give thanks to him with my song.

What we will be isn’t completely clear yet. We do know that when Christ appears we will be like him because we will see him as he is.

No one else can save us. Indeed, we can be saved only by the power of the one named Jesus and not by any other person.”

A child will be born for us. A son will be given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. He will be named: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.His government and peace will have unlimited growth. He will establish David’s throne and kingdom. He will uphold it with justice and righteousness now and forever. The Lord of Armies is determined to do this!
