Give me joy again, because you have made me safe. Make me strong and ready to obey you.

Listen! God is the one who saves me! I will continue to trust him. I will not be afraid because the Lord himself makes me strong. He keeps me safe. He rescues us from our enemies.’When God does that, it will make you very happy. You will be safe, like someone who gets plenty of good water from a well to drink.

You have never seen Jesus, but still you love him. You do not see him now, but you believe in him. As a result, you are very happy. There are no words to describe how happy you are.You are happy now because God is saving you from sin. You believe in Jesus, and you know that God saves you because of that.

Then I will be happy because of what the Lord has done. I will be happy because he has made me safe.

God is the one who causes us to hope for good things. I pray that God will bless you very much. I pray that he will cause you to be happy and to have peace in your minds. He will do this because you believe in him. As a result, God's Holy Spirit will make you strong with his power, so that you hope even more certainly.

I am very happy, because of what the Lord, my God, has done. I have so much joy! He has given salvation to me, like clothes that I can wear all the time. I have his righteousness as my coat! He makes me handsome, like a bridegroom who wears a priest's hat. He makes me beautiful, like a bride who wears her jewels.

Always be happy because you belong to the Lord. I will say that again, ‘Be happy!’

So we see that God has accepted us as right because we trust him. As a result, we have peace with God, because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us.While we were still God's enemies, God's Son died on our behalf. As a result, we became God's friends. So, now that we are God's friends, his Son will certainly save us. Christ will save us because he is alive again.But that is not everything! We are very happy now because of what God has done for us. Our Lord Jesus Christ has made this possible. It is because of him that we have now become God's friends.It was because of one man, Adam, that sin came into the world. Death was the result of Adam's sin. Because of that, death came to all people, because everyone failed to obey God.Before God gave his Law to Moses, people did wrong things. Sin was already there in the world. But at that time, God did not say that people were guilty, because there was no law for them to obey.But death still ruled all people, from the time when Adam lived until the time when Moses lived. Everyone died, even those who did not fail in the same way that Adam failed. Adam shows us something about God's Messiah who would come at a future time.But they are not the same. Adam was the man who did not obey what God said to him. Jesus Christ is the man who brought God's free gift to people. Adam was just one person but many people died because of his sin. But God has shown in a greater way that he is very kind to people. Very many people have received God's gift because of one man, Jesus Christ. So Christ has been very kind to many people!Also, God's gift is different from the result of Adam's sin. Adam chose not to obey God once and punishment came as a result. But the result of God's gift is greater. People have done many wrong things, not only one wrong thing. But God accepts them as right with him. That shows how kind God is!One man, Adam, did not obey God, and death began to rule everyone as a result. But what the one man, Jesus Christ, did is much greater! Because of him, people can become right with God. They receive that great gift from God because he is very good and very kind. Because of what Jesus Christ has done, those people will rule like kings in their lives.So God's punishment came to all people because of that one wrong thing that Adam did. But the one thing that Christ did makes people free. God accepts all people because of that one good thing that Christ did. Those people receive true life from God.One man did not obey God and, as a result, many people became guilty because of their sins. But, because one man did obey God, many people will become right with God. Because we trust him, we know that God has blessed us in a way that we do not deserve. That makes us strong in our lives. We also are sure that we will share God's glory in heaven. So we are very happy.

Lord, the king is happy, because you help him with your great strength. You have helped him to win against his enemies, so he is very happy.

I want you to be completely happy, in the same way that I myself am happy. That is why I have told you these things.

I will still sing to thank the Lord! I will be happy because God is the one who makes me safe.

But do not be happy because you have authority over bad spirits. God has written your names in his book in heaven. That is why you should be happy.’

Then I will praise you for everyone to hear! I will tell the people of Zion that you have saved me, and I will be very happy!

At that time, people will say, ‘Look! This is our God! We trusted him to keep us safe, and he rescued us. Yes, this is the Lord! We trusted him to keep us safe. We will sing with joy, because he has saved us.’

The Lord makes me strong and he takes care of me. He is the one who keeps me safe.Listen to the happy shouts of God's people in their tents! They have won against their enemies, because the Lord has power to do great things.

But I will trust you because of your faithful love. Please make me safe, so that I can be happy and thank you.

Sing to the Lord, all the world. Every day, tell people the message that he has rescued us.Tell the other nations that he is very great. Tell all of them about the great things that he has done.

Sing aloud with joy, you heavens above us, because the Lord has done it! Shout as loudly as you can, places deep below the earth. You mountains, sing with joy, and you forests and trees as well! Be happy, because the Lord has redeemed his people. He has rescued the Israelites, Jacob's descendants, to show how great he is.

If you serve sin as your master, it will pay you with death. But if you belong to our Lord Jesus Christ, God gives you a gift! That gift is life with God for ever.

Always be happy.Pray at all times.Whatever may happen to you, continue to thank God. God wants you to do that, because you belong to Christ Jesus.

At that time, we laughed a lot. We sang with joy because we were so happy! People in other countries said to each other, ‘The Lord has done great things for them!’Yes, the Lord has done great things for us. So we are very happy.

So all you people who belong to the Lord, praise him and be happy! All of you who are good, honest people, shout aloud because you are so happy!

But God's Spirit causes us to live in a different way. We love other people. We are happy and we have peace in our minds. We are patient, kind and good. People can trust us to do what is right.

My Christian friends, there are a few more things that I want to say. You belong to the Lord, so be happy! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again. And it will help to keep you safe.

Until now, you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask God, and you will receive what you ask for. Then you will be completely happy.

Nehemiah said to the people, ‘Go to your homes and eat some good food. Drink sweet drinks. Share your food and your drink with people who do not have enough for themselves. This is a holy day for our Lord, so do not be sad. The Lord will give you joy so that you can be strong.’

He has paid the price to rescue them, and they will return home along it. They will be happy and they will sing, as they go into Zion city. They will be very happy for ever. They will never again be sad or upset. All the time they will be completely happy.

Worship the Lord and be happy! Come near to him with songs of joy.

Now you have helped me to stop crying, so that I dance instead! I do not need to wear sackcloth, because I am no longer sad. Instead, you have made me very happy. So I am truly happy and I will sing to praise you. I cannot stay quiet! Lord, my God, I will continue to thank you for ever.

I will keep Zion's priests safe. The people who serve God faithfully will shout loudly, because they are so happy.

But that is not everything! We are very happy now because of what God has done for us. Our Lord Jesus Christ has made this possible. It is because of him that we have now become God's friends.

People of Israel, be very happy, because God made you. People of Zion, be very happy, because God is your king.

But it does not matter to me! All of them are telling people about Christ. That is the most important thing. Whether they speak because of wrong reasons or because of right reasons, they are speaking the message about Christ! Because of that, I am happy. Yes, I will continue to be happy.

You have shown me the paths that lead to life with you. I will be completely happy because you will be with me for ever.” ’

We see that he is a very great king. Strength and joy are in his home.

I tell you this. When one person turns back to God, it causes a lot of joy in heaven. There is more joy about that one person, than about 99 people who already obey God.’

You righteous people, sing to praise the Lord and be happy! It is right for good, honest people to do that.

But people who serve the Lord should be happy because of what he has done. They should trust him to keep them safe. Good, honest people should praise God, because he is great!

Be happy, because you can trust God to do what he says. Be patient when you suffer. Always continue to pray.

May all people who turn to you be happy! Make them always sing with joy, because you keep them safe. Take care of those who are faithful to you. Then they will be really happy.

Your laws will always be with me. They make me happy deep inside.

Shout with joy, everything in the sky! Be happy, everything on the earth! Sing loudly, you mountains! Be happy, because the Lord comforts his people. He will be kind to his people who are suffering.

God is preparing many good things for you in heaven. So you should be very happy when people do these bad things to any of you. People did these same bad things to God's prophets who lived long ago.’

But righteous people will be happy, when they come near to you. They will shout with joy, because they are so happy!

The Lord, your God, is with you. He is strong, like a brave soldier. He will save you. He will be very happy because he is pleased with you! He will give you new life because of his love. He will sing with joy because you make him happy!’

You will lead me along the path of life. Because you are with me, I am very happy. I know that I will be with you for ever, and that makes me very happy!

I thank God because he is the one who saves me.

Yes, we should all thank God for his very great gift. That gift is too great to describe it with words!

The Lord makes me strong. He keeps me safe like a shield. I trust in him completely, and he has helped me. I am very happy, and I will thank him with my songs.

The Lord says this: ‘Young women will dance because they are happy. The young men and the old men will also be happy. I will cause them to laugh instead of weep. I will comfort them, so that they are happy instead of sad.

Lord, may those who come to you be very happy, because you have saved them. They should never stop saying, ‘Praise the Lord!’

My dear Christian friends, I love you very much. I want very much to see you again. You make me very happy. You show that my work among you had good results. Please continue to live in a way that pleases the Lord.

His anger continues only for a moment, but he is kind to us for our whole life. We may be sad all through the night, but in the morning, we will be happy again.

Somebody is coming across the mountains to bring good news to us! It is a beautiful thing to see him run towards us! He has come to tell us that there will be peace, because God will save our city. He says to Zion, ‘Your God rules as king!’Listen! The guards on the city's walls are shouting! They all shout together with joy! They can see for themselves that the Lord is returning to Zion.Jerusalem, your buildings have become heaps of stones, but now you can all shout together with joy! Sing aloud, because the Lord has comforted his people. He has made Jerusalem safe again.

Hannah prayed and she said, ‘I am very happy when I think about what the Lord has done. The Lord has made me very strong. I can laugh at my enemies because you, Lord, have saved me. That makes me very happy.

I will shout aloud with joy, as I praise you with music! I will sing songs to praise you, because you have rescued me.

I will go away but I will give you a gift of peace. It is mine to give and yours to keep. It is not like a gift that this world gives. Do not let yourselves be sad. Do not be afraid.

The things that you do, Lord, make me very happy. I sing with joy because of everything that your hands have made!

Now I say ‘goodbye’ to you, my Christian friends. Do only what is right. Let my message make you strong. Agree with each other. Live together in peace. I pray that God will be with you. He is the one who loves us and gives us peace in our minds.

You have made me very happy. I am happier than anyone who has lots of food and wine.

When people went to plant seeds in their fields, they were crying. But they will be happy when they bring in the harvest!

Be happy that the Lord is your friend. He will give you what you most want.

But people who wait for the Lord to help them will receive new strength. They will rise up high, as if they have the wings of eagles. They will run and they will not become tired. They will walk and they will not become weak.

The person who knows that the God of Jacob will help him is a happy person! If he trusts in the Lord as his God, he is happy.

As we run, we must always look towards Jesus. He is the one who trusted God completely. Our faith starts with him, and he will help us to trust God all the way to the end. Jesus accepted punishment on the cross. He chose to receive much pain. He did not think about being ashamed to die like that. He knew that God had prepared something very good for him that would make him happy. Now he has sat down at the right side of God to rule with him in heaven.

Lord Almighty, you have truly blessed everyone who trusts in you!

In that way, the people in Zion who are sad will become strong again. They will not put ashes on their heads any more. Instead, they will wear beautiful hats. Instead of weeping, they will have olive oil to show their joy. They will not feel upset, but they will sing happy songs to praise God. People will call them ‘Strong trees that show God's righteousness’. They will be like trees that the Lord himself has planted to show how great he is.

Praise the Lord God, as he deserves! Every day he helps us with our troubles. He is the God who keeps us safe!God, blow them away, as wind blows smoke away. Destroy those wicked people, as wax melts near a fire!Our God is the God who rescues people. The Almighty Lord saves us from death.

I, the Son of Man, came to look for people who are far away from God. They are in danger and I have come to save them.’

When you believed in Jesus, God saved you because he is very kind. You could not save yourselves, but that is God's gift to you.He has not saved you as a result of any good things that you have done. So nobody has any reason to be proud about it.

Yes, you are the one who gives us light and life.

We know that we will receive what God has promised to give us. This keeps our thoughts strong. We know that our life is safe with God. That hope is like an anchor that keeps a ship safe. We know that we will one day arrive in God's special place in heaven. That is like the Most Holy Place place behind the curtain in the tabernacle.

I am sure of this. Nothing can stop God from loving us. Death cannot do that. Life cannot do that. Angels cannot do that, nor can demons do that. Nothing that happens to us now, or that will happen in the future can do that. No powerful spirits can do that. Nothing that is high above the world can do that, nor anything that is deep down below the ground. Nothing else in the whole universe can stop God from loving us. Because of our Lord Christ Jesus, we know how much God loves us.

The Lord is kind and fair. Yes, our God is very kind.The Lord takes care of helpless people. I was in danger of death, and he saved me!So now I know that I am safe again. The Lord has been very good to me.

The robber only wants to take away my sheep. He wants to kill them. He comes only to destroy them. But I have come so that they can have true life. And so that they can have everything that they need.

This is what God has told us: God has given us life with him that never ends. We receive this life when we believe in his Son, Jesus.So whoever belongs to the Son has this true life. But anyone who does not belong to the Son of God does not have this true life.

When anyone belongs to Christ, they become a new person. Their old way of life has gone. Their new life has begun!

Lord, you keep those people safe who continue to trust in you. You give them peace in their minds, because they believe in you.Trust in the Lord now and for ever! The Almighty Lord will always be our strong Rock.

My Lord and my God, I will thank you with all my strength. I will praise your name for ever!I know that you love me very much with your faithful love. You will continue to keep my life safe, so that I do not go down into the deep hole of death.

He gave me a new song to sing. It was a song to praise our God. Many people will see what God has done to help me. Then they will respect and obey him. Yes, they will trust in the Lord.

So, if the Son makes you free, you will really be free.

Christ has accepted you, so you must accept each other. In that way you will be praising God.

How far is the east from the west? The Lord has taken our sins further away than that! He no longer says that we are guilty.

Christ died on the cross on my behalf. It is as if I died there with him. So I do not live my own life any more. Instead, Christ lives in me. That is the life that I now live in my body. I live because I trust what Christ, the Son of God, has done for me. He loved me so much that he died on my behalf.

I will be patient as I wait for God to help me. He is the only one who can make me safe.Do not cheat people, or rob them to get money! That will not give you anything that you can trust to help you. Even if you become very rich, do not think it is important.I have heard God speak his truth once, no twice! God has great strength.And also, my Lord God, you have a faithful love. You pay back to everybody what they deserve for the things that they have done.He alone is the strong rock where I can hide and be safe. With him, nothing will make me fall.

At that time, you will say, ‘Praise the Lord! Thank him for his help! Tell all the nations about the great things that God has done. Tell them that he is very great!Sing songs to praise the Lord, because he has done wonderful things! Cause everyone in the world to know it!

Christ has given you peace in your minds. So let that peace rule your thoughts. God has chosen you to be like one body, as his people. So he wants you to live together in peace. Thank God for everything that he gives to you.

So then, Christian friends, we see that Jesus died as a sacrifice on our behalf. Because of that, we may go into God's Most Holy Place. We are not afraid to do that.If the old rules could do that, the priests would have stopped offering sacrifices. The people who came to worship God would have become completely clean once, for all time. They would no longer have trouble in their minds about their sins.Jesus has opened a new way for us to come near to God. That way gives us life with God. It leads us through the curtain into God's Most Holy Place. Jesus opened that curtain for us when he offered his own body to God as a sacrifice.

I will always praise the Lord. All the time I will sing to praise him.Even young lions may become hungry because they have no food to eat. But people who trust the Lord for help will receive every good thing that they need.Children, come and listen to me! I will teach you how to respect the Lord.Do you want to live a good life? Do you want your life to be long and happy?If so, do not speak any evil words. Do not tell lies to deceive people.Do good things instead of evil things. Try to bring peace into people's lives.The Lord watches over righteous people. He hears them when they call to him for help.But the Lord turns against people who do evil things. He causes everybody to forget that they ever lived.The Lord hears his righteous people when they call for help. He saves them from all their troubles.When people are upset, the Lord is near to them. He saves those who feel very weak and upset.Righteous people may often have troubles, but the Lord saves them from every danger.I will boast that the Lord is great! I want weak people to hear that. I want them to be happy!The Lord keeps them safe. Not even one of their bones is broken!Evil things will return to kill wicked people. Whoever hates God's own people will receive punishment.The Lord saves the lives of his servants. Everyone who trusts the Lord to keep them safe will not receive punishment as a guilty person.Join with me to tell people that the Lord is great! Together we will make his name famous.

So turn to me and I will make you safe. I say that to everybody all over the world. Turn to me, because I am God. There is nobody else like me.

The man gave them some food to eat in his house. The guard and all his family were very happy because now they believed in God.

They receive that great gift from God because he is very good and very kind. Because of what Jesus Christ has done, those people will rule like kings in their lives.

Taste and see that the Lord is good! God blesses people who turn to him to keep them safe.

I tell you this. Everyone who hears my message should believe in the Father who sent me. If they believe in me, they will have life for ever with God. God will not say that they are guilty. They are no longer under the power of death. Instead, they have life with God.

God's Spirit himself causes us to know that we are God's children. God's Spirit and our own spirits agree together that this is true.Because we are God's children, we also know that we will receive good things from him. Those are the things that he has promised to give to his children. Together with Christ, we will receive the things that God has kept for him. That is true if we agree to suffer as Christ did. Then we will also enjoy life in heaven as Christ does.

If anyone lives in Almighty God's safe place, the Most High God protects them.No bad thing will happen to you. No illness will come to your home.For God will tell his angels to keep you safe. They will protect you wherever you go.They will hold you safely in their hands, so that you do not hurt your foot on a stone. You will win against lions and snakes. You will walk over them!The Lord says, ‘If someone loves me, I will keep him safe. Because he worships me, I will protect him.When he calls to me for help, I will answer him. When he has trouble, I will be with him. I will rescue him, and people will respect him.I will give him a long life, so that he is happy. He will see that I have the power to save people.’I will say to the Lord, ‘You are the strong place where I will be safe. You are my God, and I trust in you.’

What does it mean for people to live with you for ever? It means that they know you, the one who is the only true God. They also know me, Jesus Christ, the one that you have sent.

But we thank God! Because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we win against death and its power.

That is why we are not afraid to continue our work. Yes, our bodies are getting older and weaker. But our spirits are becoming stronger every day!We have these little troubles that continue for a short time. But as a result, we will receive the great things that God has prepared for us. Those great things are much more important than our little troubles. And God's great things will continue for ever!So we do not look at the things that we can see in this world. Instead, we look at the things that people cannot see. The things that we can see are only here for a short time. But the things that we cannot see will continue for ever.

Your rules give me a happy life. When I obey them, it is better than being rich!

Jesus is alive and he is always asking God to help his people. So he can completely save everyone who believes in him. He will lead them to God.

God has given us his Holy Spirit to live in us. Because of this, we know that we live together with God. And we know that he lives with us.

The Lord has done many kind things to help me. What can I give back to him?I will offer a cup of wine to the Lord, to thank him because he saved me! I will worship him.

You believers in Ephesus also heard God's true message. You heard the good news about how God saves you. When you believed in Christ, God gave his Holy Spirit to you. He had promised to do that, to show that you belong to him.God has put his Holy Spirit inside us now. As a result, we know that one day we will receive all the good things that God has promised. At that time we will be completely free, because we belong to God. So we praise God and we say that he is great!

God's light shines on righteous people. Good, honest people will be very happy.All you righteous people, be happy because of what the Lord has done. Thank him because he is holy.

You will leave that foreign land with joy! You will travel home with peace in your minds. The mountains and the hills will sing with joy as you travel past. The trees in the fields will clap their hands together!

Sing to praise the Lord's great name! Every day, tell people the message that he has rescued us.Tell the other nations that he is very great. Tell all of them about the great things that he has done.

We know that God helps those people who love him. He uses everything that happens to them to bring something good. He does this for the people that he has chosen to serve him.

When I asked you to burn incense to worship me, that should not have made you tired.You did not buy any spices to offer them to me. You did not bring me the fat from your sacrifices to make me happy. Instead, you have made it difficult for me, because of all your sins. All the evil things that you do have caused me to become very tired.But I am the one who removes your sins when you do not obey me. I, the Lord, do that, because of who I am. I do not keep your sins in my mind.So let us talk together about what has happened. Show me why you think that you are right!Your first ancestor did not obey me. Your leaders and teachers turned against me.So I caused the priests of your temple to become ashamed. I caused enemies to destroy Israel. I let them insult Jacob's descendants.’I am the Lord, your God, so I will rescue you. I am Israel's Holy God, your Saviour. I gave Egypt as the price to buy you back. I gave Ethiopia and Seba to their enemies, so that you could be free.

The angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. Listen! I bring you good news. This news will make everyone very happy.Something happened today in the town of David. Someone special was born. He is the one who will save you. He is the Messiah. He is the Lord.

During this time now, we suffer. But one day God will show us all the great things he has prepared for us. That will make the trouble that we have now seem very small.

God has chosen you to be his people. We can trust him to do what he has promised to do. So he will do all this for you.

We know that we can trust God to do the things that he has promised. That is what we tell people. So we must continue to hope for those things. We should not stop doing that.

As it says in the Bible: ‘Everyone who calls out to the Lord God for help will be safe.’

But some people did accept him and they believed in him. He gave authority to those people to become God's children.They did not become God's children in the usual human way. They were not born because some people wanted to have children. They were not born because of what any man decided. No! They were born from God.

When I prayed to you, you answered me. You made me brave and strong.

The Lord is not being slow to do what he has promised to do. Some people may think that he is being slow to do it. But he is being patient with you. He does not want to destroy anyone. He wants all people to turn away from the wrong things that they do.

God's light shines on those who serve him, even when they are in a dark place. God blesses those who are kind to others, and who do what is right and fair.People who are kind and lend money to others, and who work in an honest way, will enjoy a good life.Righteous people will never fail. People will always remember them.They are not afraid to hear bad news. They are brave, because they trust in the Lord.

God is the one who has saved us. He has chosen us to serve him with good, clean lives. He did not save us because of any good things that we have done. He chose to do it because he is very kind. He decided to do that before time began, because of what Christ Jesus would do for us.

I know that God has begun to do good things in you. And I am sure that he will continue to work in you. Then, on the day when Jesus Christ returns, his work in you will be finished.

Sin will no longer have authority over you. The Law which God gave to Moses does not control your life. God's grace now controls your life.

Come now! Let us sing together to worship the Lord! We will shout aloud to praise God, the strong Rock who makes us safe!So I was angry with those people all the time for 40 years. I said, “These people love to go the wrong way. They refuse to follow my ways.”I was very angry and I promised, “They will never come into my place of rest.” ’Let us come near to God and thank him! Let us sing songs to praise him, because we are so happy!

Instead, we should agree that we have done wrong things and tell that to God. Then God will forgive us for our sins. He always does what he has promised to do. He always does what is right. He will forgive us and he will make us clean again, whatever bad things we may have done.

Yes! We will trust the Lord to come and help us. He is our helper who keeps us safe, like a soldier's shield.We are happy because he loves us. We trust in his holy name.Lord, help us to know your faithful love, because we are trusting in you.

God is using his great power to keep you safe, because you trust him. He will continue to keep you safe until the last day, when Christ will return. Then you will know that God has saved you completely from sin and from death.

Sing songs to God! Sing to praise his name! He is the one who rides on the clouds, so praise him aloud! His name is the Lord! Shout with joy to worship him!God is a father for those who have no father. He takes care of widows. He rules from his holy home.God gives homes and a family to lonely people. He makes prisoners go free so that they are happy. But people who turn against him have to live in a hot, dry land.

And when we hope like that, we will not become disappointed. This is because we know that God loves us very much. God has given his Holy Spirit to be with us. The Holy Spirit causes us to know God's love very well.

Think about how much God the Father loves us. He calls us his children! God loves us so much that we really have become his children. The people who belong to this world do not understand who God is. Because of that, they do not understand who we are.In this way, we can see clearly who are God's children and who are the devil's children. Anyone who does not live in a way that is good and right does not belong to God. People like that do not love other believers.Yes, we must love one another. That is the message which you have heard from the beginning.We should not be like Cain. He belonged to Satan and he even killed his brother, Abel. Why did he do that? Cain did bad things and he killed Abel because Abel did things that were right.So, my Christian friends, do not be surprised when people who belong to this world hate you.We know that we now have new life with God. Death no longer has power over us. We know this because we love our Christian friends. But anyone who does not love other believers is still under the power of death.Anyone who hates other believers is like someone who murders other people. You know that a person like that does not have true life with God.This is how we know what true love is: Jesus Christ gave his own life on the cross. He died on our behalf. So we too ought to give our lives for other believers.When another believer has trouble, we need to be kind to him. Maybe you have all the things that you need to live. If you see another believer who needs things like that, you should help him. If you refuse to be kind to him, it shows that you do not belong to God. You do not love people in the way that God loves them.My little children, we should not show love for each other only by what we say. We should also show true love by the things that we do.Then we will know that we truly belong to God. We will be obeying God's true message. As a result, our thoughts will not make us ashamed to come to God.My friends, we are already children of God. We do not yet know clearly what we will become. But we do know this: when Christ returns to this world, we will become like him. We will be like him because we will see him as he really is.

I will always sing about the Lord's faithful love. I will tell my children and my grandchildren that you are always faithful.

Then Peter said, ‘Only Jesus can save people. There has never been another person in the world that could do this. God has not given any other man the authority to save us.’

But God has shown us how much he loves us. Even when we still did not obey God, Christ died on our behalf.

We nearly died, but God saved us from that great danger. We know that we can continue to trust him. He will save us from any future danger.

I will wait for the Lord to help me. I trust him completely. So I wait for him to do what he has promised.

Boast about his holy name. Everybody who wants to worship the Lord should be very happy!

So, my friends, you must continue to obey. When I was with you, you always obeyed. Now that I am not with you, that is even more important. God has saved you. You must always live in a way which shows that this is true. Respect God and remember his great power.It is God himself who is working in you. Now you want to obey him, and he makes you able to do that. You do the things that make God very happy.

Everything that people wrote in the Bible in past times is there to teach us something. Those words help us to be patient and strong. As a result, we can trust God to do what he has promised.

Yes, your people are happy! A child has been born for us. We now have a son with the authority to rule. His names will be: Wonderful Advisor, Mighty God, Father for Ever, Ruler who brings Peace.His authority to rule will be very great. The peace that he brings will never have an end. He will rule as king over David's kingdom. He will make it strong and safe, because he will do what is right and fair. He will rule like that now and for ever. The Lord Almighty will make those things happen, because he loves his people.
