My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into different kinds of temptations, knowing that the trying of your faith works patience.
And not only this, but we glory in afflictions also, knowing that afflictions work out patience, and patience works out experience, and experience works out hope. And hope does not make us ashamed, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us.
in which you greatly rejoice, yet a little while, if need be, grieving in manifold temptations;so that the trial of your faith (being much more precious than that of gold that perishes, but being proven through fire) might be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
For His anger is only a moment; in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
A Psalm of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless Jehovah at all times; His praise always shall be in my mouth.
And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me.Therefore I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am powerful.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Rejoice evermore.Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.He who goes forth and weeps, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; so that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that He might be glorified.
Therefore since we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God.
Blessed are they who have been persecuted for righteousness sake! For theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.Blessed are you when men shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for My sake.Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for your reward in Heaven is great. For so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
being empowered with all power, according to the might of His glory, to all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness,
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; nor shall the flame kindle on you.
Jehovah also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Jehovah, have not forsaken those who seek You.
Only let your conduct be as becomes the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you, or else am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, striving together with one mind for the faith of the gospel, and terrified in nothing by your adversaries. For this is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.
Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you moan within me? Hope in God; for I still praise Him, the salvation of my face, and my God.
For this cause we do not faint; but though our outward man perishes, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.For the lightness of our present affliction works out for us a far more excellent eternal weight of glory,we not considering the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are not lasting, but the things which are not seen are everlasting.
Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take My yoke on you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest to your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
When I am afraid I will trust in You.In God I will praise His Word; in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do to me.
I beseech You, let Your merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to Your Word to Your servant.
Beloved, do not be astonished at the fiery trial which is to try you, as though a strange thing happened to you,but rejoice according as you are partakers of Christ's suffering, so that when His glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for Jehovah; and He bowed down to me, and heard my cry.He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet on a rock, and gave sureness to my steps. And He has put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God; many shall see it and fear, and shall trust in Jehovah.
but those who wait on Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
To the Chief Musician. To die for the Son. A Psalm of David. I will praise You, O Jehovah, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
Let your way of life be without the love of money, and be content with such things as you have, for He has said, "Not at all will I leave you, not at all will I forsake you, never!"so that we may boldly say, "The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me."
And may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow; for tomorrow shall be anxious for its own things. Sufficient to the day is the evil of it.
Why are you cast down, O my soul, and moan within me? Hope in God; for I shall praise Him for the salvation of His face.
But we should not lose heart in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not faint.
Not that I speak according to need, for I have learned to be content in whatever state I am.I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound. In everything and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
But call to memory the former days, in which (after you were illuminated) you endured a great fight of afflictions, indeed being exposed both by reproaches and afflictions, and while you became companions of those who lived so.For you both sympathized with my bonds and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that you have in Heaven a better and an enduring substance.
Do not fear; for I am with you; be not dismayed; for I am your God. I will make you strong; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.
as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.
that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death;
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.Through Him we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice on the hope of the glory of God.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort,He comforting us in all our trouble, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in every trouble, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
I will praise You; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are marvelous and my soul knows it very well.
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You.
But the God of all grace, He calling us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, He will perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
You will make Me know the way of life; in Your presence is fullness of joys. At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone having been hanged on a tree");so that the blessing of Abraham might be to the nations in Jesus Christ, and that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the coming glory to be revealed in us.
And Jehovah shall always guide you and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones fat; and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters fail not.
O Jehovah my God, many things You have done, Your wonderful works and Your thoughts which are toward us; they cannot be set in order to You; I will declare and speak, for they are more than can be numbered.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us;in every way having been troubled, but not having been hemmed in; having been perplexed, but not utterly at a loss;having been persecuted, but not having been forsaken; having been thrown down, but not having been destroyed;
He shall call on Me, and I will answer Him; I will be with Him in trouble; I will deliver Him, and honor Him.
Therefore let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ,
But now so says Jehovah who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel; Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.
for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
For everything that has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.
Praise Jehovah! Blessed is the man who fears Jehovah, who delights greatly in His Commandments. His seed shall be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul will be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the robes of salvation, He covered me with the robe of righteousness like a bridegroom adorns himself with ornaments, and like a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
whom having not seen, you love; in whom not yet seeing, but believing in Him you exult with unspeakable joy, and having been glorified,
But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
By Him, then, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips, confessing His name.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
If I walk in the midst of trouble, You will give me life; You shall stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand shall save me.
nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation.
God is faithful, by whom you were called to the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Cast your burden on Jehovah, and He will keep you; He will never allow the righteous to waver.
For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have torn off my sackcloth, and have clothed me with gladness,so that my glory may sing praise to You, and not be silent. O Jehovah my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
not avenging yourselves, beloved, but giving place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord."
A Psalm of David. Judge me, O Jehovah; for I have walked in my truthfulness. I have trusted also in Jehovah; I shall not slide.Examine me, O Jehovah, and prove me; purify my heart and my mind.
For, brothers, you were called to liberty. Only do not use the liberty for an opening to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you moan within me? Hope in God; for I still praise Him, the salvation of my face, and my God.
No temptation has taken you but what is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation also will make a way to escape, so that you may be able to bear it.
looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God.
But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God by us.
and if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday. And Jehovah shall always guide you and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones fat; and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters fail not.
In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on Jehovah, they shall inherit the earth. It is but a little while, and the wicked shall not be; yea, you shall search his place, and he shall not be.But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the overflowing of peace.
But we are not of those withdrawing to destruction, but of those who believe to the preserving of the soul.
And not only this, but we glory in afflictions also, knowing that afflictions work out patience,
He gives power to the weary; and to him with no vigor; He increases strength.Even the young shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall;but those who wait on Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Jehovah is for me, I will not fear; what can man do to me?Jehovah is for me among those who help me; and I will see my desire on those who hate me.
Only let your conduct be as becomes the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you, or else am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, striving together with one mind for the faith of the gospel,
If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the furthest parts of the sea;even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.
So that if any one is in Christ, that one is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for Jehovah; and He bowed down to me, and heard my cry.He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet on a rock, and gave sureness to my steps.
My brothers, I do not count myself to have taken possession, but one thing I do, forgetting the things behind and reaching forward to the things before,I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Hope in Jehovah; be of good courage, and He shall make your heart strong; yea, hope in Jehovah.
